    Thematisierung Standort Zu kurz Layout

Honestly quite overrated in my opinion. The queue is fun, but after riding it a lot, the song and theme get a bit boring. And the ride itself is nothing to write home about. It's fun, but doesn't come close to other pirate themed rides or even other Efteling rides

The new version of Python is very much improved. It is way smoother, yet still has the classic, iconic old school coaster design

Schoßbügel Nette Überraschung! Sanftheit Zu kurz Layout Intensität

On one hand it's a great coaster, because it's probably the smoothest wooden coaster ever and it has super nice padding in the car. But on the other hand, the layout and intensity wasn't anything too special. Still I really liked it

I like the ride, but the ride really tries to bump you into your own seat as often as possible. It could be way smoother and less bumpy, like Troy, but it's quite rough, layout wise.

First Drop Thematisierung Intensität Zu kurz

It being too short is really it's only downside. The drop feels intense, you feel like you're floating and a big stomache drop feeling, that I personally rarely get in coasters anymore. I'm sure other B&M dive coasters are better, but the theming is just next level on Baron!

What a weird rollercoaster. It is unlike every other one I have ever ridden. It is almost too intense to be enjoyable. After you get used to the track (which took me about three rides) it can be a load of fun. However the quality of every ride can differ a lot. For example the rides where you don't experience airtime from the side are much better than the ones where you do. But generally every ride has its enjoyable moments. Sadly the train already consistently rattles during the ride which is questionable for a two year old rollercoaster. The lap bar is very tight on this ride, so make sure you find a comfortable spot to make this ride enjoyable and not painful. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece due to the rattling combined with the fact that the quality of each ride will always differ. But overall it is a very special rollercoaster every enthusiast should experience.

Very enjoyable coaster. It is very smooth and relatively fast. The seats are very comfortable and the entire ride has many interesting elements.

    Airtimes Inversionen Tempo Rütteln Unangenehm

The Smiler is probably the best executed coaster in the world. Never before has a theme, soundtrack and ride experience come together in such a wonderfully messed up way. IMAscore's terrific work is as irritating as it is brilliant, the catchiest of scores that you will never forget. The queue is a mammoth trek if all the extensions are open in the chaotic environment of a below-coaster cattle pen, with the music pumping out around you. You head up to the station, which is rather lacking in theming but that just adds to the hot mess feel. Then you spend the next 3 minutes being rattled around in the craziest way possible, and the entire experience is mind-blowingly addictive. Sure, it's not all that comfortable if you're on an outer seat, the first corkscrew drop has developed a pothole to rival any on the M6, and the cobra roll into the penultimate inversion is more infamous for it's error than Matt Hancock. But every now and then you get a front row ride in a middle seat and are reminded that it's a phenomenal coaster with some genuine world class moments, most notably the awesome sea serpent roll into the superb ejector airtime hill. I love the smiler, despite it's flaws, it's a brilliant, crazy experience and Alton Towers wouldn't be the same without it
