Maverick is just incredible. The first drop is insane, the pacing is perfection. I rode both at day and night and it was excellent both ways. I love the inversions, the side-to-side "whippiness", and the second launch in the tunnel is a huge rush. I could lap this and Steel Vengeance all day and have the time of my life.

I was incredibly disappointed with Magnum XL 200. My home park is Worlds of fun where we have the Mamba that looks, at least on paper, very similar to Magnum XL 200. Given their similar ratings, I was expecting something a similar ride, but I couldn't have been more wrong. My entire party got off of Magnum wondering how a steel coaster could be so uncomfortable, bordering on painful. We all swore off any additional rides on it. Cedar Point has some amazing rides, but this one has run its course and it is time to replace it with something modern and enjoyable.

Made the trip to CP and SteVe did not disappoint. Previously I'd really only been on a handful of coasters I would consider highly rated - Velocicoaster plus the major ones at Six Flags Great America, Silver Dollar City, and Worlds of Fun. Steel Vengeance beat them all handily, it was everything I'd hoped for - the pacing is great, the drop, the ejector, the lateral airtime, the 0g rolls. I could ride this over and over and never get tired of it. Truly the coaster by which others are judged.
