Efteling admirably tries to combine a dark ride with a roller coaster, but ends up with a ride that is severely lacking in both parts. The dark ride is short and there's barely anything to see, it's too literally dark. The roller coaster is equally short with a boring layout, and starts with an uncomfortable bump onto the lift hill.
The queue is stunning, beautiful theming. But if your queue is the best executed part of the ride, you have a problem. The most disappointing ride Efteling built, because the concept was very promising.
