What can I say, I love a good dive coaster and SheiKra is certainly that. I know it's short, I know it's pretty much a one-trick pony, but the fear/anticipation leading into the first drop is just a great coaster experience. And while SheiKra had one less inversion than Griffon, I got better airtime on both the first drop (albeit marginally) and the second drop (notably.) Again, any coaster that drops you ~200 feet at a 90 degree angle and 70+ mph has something going for it in my book. SheiKra delivered exactly what I hoped it would.

Montu was no better or worse than some of the other B&M inverted coasters I've recently ridden. If anything, it suffered from being the last of a familiar line-up of inverts I've been on over the last few months (including Alpengeist, Great Bear, Raptor, Afterburn, Batman clone at SFOG.) They are all great, but they are beginning to feel a bit redundant. What I liked about Montu that was unique was the batwing component which really whips. Everyone mentions this, but it really is an elite element and unlike anything I've experienced on other inverts.
If you're only so lucky as to go on one of these, Montu will certainly do the trick. If I had to pick one, Alpengeist is my favorite.

Really enjoyed this ride...it has a lot more spunk than a family coaster - I certainly wouldn't qualify it as such, but it's far more accessible than most of the other high-profile coasters at BGT. It felt like a highly subdued combination of Storm Runner and Maverick. The second and third launches are particularly enjoyable and the length of the ride gives you a good bang for your time if lines are long.
I can see the Hagrid's comparisons as well, but the theming of that ride is so phenomenal and critical to the experience - it's hard to put Cheetah Hunt in the same class.
Lastly, I'm not one to typically gripe about restraints, harnesses, lap bars, etc. but the harnesses really cut into my left shoulder when sitting on the left side of a car. Oddly, it didn't bother me at all when sitting on the right.
All-in-all, a really solid Intamin launch coaster, but not an elite class Intamin launch coaster.

It was the biggest and fastest ride I had ever been on at the time. And it seemed a lot smoother than the other wooden coasters I had ridden (The Comet at Hersheypark.) I was sorry to see it had such a short life.

This was a "meh" for me. It certainly suffered from being the first ride we went on after multiple Wildcat's Revenge rides, but so it will go for its placement in the park. It's a passable, dueling woody; albeit, Lightning was closed due to rain/demand/capacity so the dueling aspect was not in play on our visit. Not sure that would've changed much. We went on it twice and was glad I did, but wouldn't go out of my way to get to it again. The lap bars were actually worth noting as particularly impressive - automatic and lot's of leg room!
Daughter's POV: it had more than I expected from it. I liked the tunnel part. I like when first hills bank on a wooden coaster and so I enjoyed that component especially.

Went on Wildcat's Revenge on an extremely rainy day. Was thrilled it was open and was happy to accept the reality that we'd be pelted with raindrops throughout our rides in order to get on it during our visit. The good news was that there were virtually no lines to speak of and we were able to ride multiple times in a short window. The bad news - the rain hurt and probably impacted my view of the ride ever so slightly. Overall, WR was my 6th RMC and I'd put it at #4, just a notch below ArieForce, but better than Twisted Timbers and Twisted Cyclone. The first hill is solid, the first ejector is as good as anything I've felt since Steel Vengeance and the combination of elements really came together well to provide a remarkable ride. I thought the theming was pretty strong too - I liked the cats in all their forms and who doesn't like a revenge theme. I've been spoiled by a heavy RMC ride volume this summer and everything I've ridden has felt a bit secondary to Steel Vengeance so I wasn't blown away per se. But, there's nothing not to like here. It is a fantastic ride with a healthy length and a wicked combination of elements that have this ride justifiably creeping into the top 10-15 global coasters rankings.

I put it above Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Escape from Gringotts as an experience for similar reasons. It was a bit bumpy and uncomfortable, but these were elements I happily endured to experience a surprising intensity on a heavily themed ride.

It did not deliver on any of these elements...despite an outrageous degree of hype when this came out due to the loop, The Comet was always a far superior coaster. This ride never lived up to it's billing for me.
If I can get my daughter on it and she enjoys it, there may be a chance for slight redemption.

My only thing resembling a complaint was that it was over too fast...and I really didn't want it to end. Top ride...I can't wait to get on it again.

It wasn't spectacular when I first rode it, but the idea of going under the water on the first hill coupled with multiple inversions made it a memorable experience nonetheless. It was my #2 after the Loch Ness Monster for a long time.

There's a lot to like about this ride...and while there are newer B&M hypers that I've been on, there was no discernible difference in the quality and intensity of Apollo's Chariot by comparison. I had ridden Intimidator305 a couple times earlier in the day before making the drive to BGW, which made this feel a bit more sedated than it might have felt otherwise. But the pump fake on the first hill, the camelback, turnaround bank and a few other elements I'm not remembering definitely kept the intensity (and heart-rate) up. The back seats were really great as they are with all the B&M hypers I've been on - allowing you to feel the force and airtimes a bit more throughout. This ride has great views, is a good looking coaster and has high repeatability as well. Not quite as intense as Intimidator at Carowinds and not a Giga, but not to be underestimated either.

But, I really enjoyed my ride for what it was. The hills and speed felt bigger and faster than the listed numbers. It's short and sweet with a good degree of maintained intensity throughout and some peaks of adrenaline that kept me engaged as well. It's also far smoother than other woody's I've recently ridden - not an RMC by any means, but not that bad either. If you want something a bit more chill, but still pretty fun between Alpengeist and Griffon, this will do it for you.

If anything, I thought it would be even rougher and more dated. But I actually enjoyed the combo of hills and length of the ride. It's a classic dueling, turnaround woody, but for me, it didn't need to be anything more.

The first drop is unbelievable and the Immelmann maneuver coming out of the first hill was also pretty special. Everything after this (aka drop #2) was a more sedated version of seemingly the same thing, but for me, this ride still provided an amazing experience. Great views and placement within the park further enhanced the experience. I know there are a lot of people out there that think the format is tired, but 200+ ft at a 90 degree angle and 70 mph is still a remarkable coaster experience. You just can't convince me otherwise. Griffon was like a home run hitter calling their shot...you knew what was coming and it still delivered.

My first Giga ride after standing next to two others...I got rained out at Millennium Force and Fury was down when I visited Carowinds. I don't know how the others rate and while I hope to find out some day, I can't imagine anything as intense as the first drop and turn on Intimidator305. The first hill might be the top roller coaster moment of all time for me. A rush unlike anything I've ever experienced. As far as the rest of the ride goes, it was pretty enjoyable if not tame by comparison. The hard turns were much smoother than I expected. In fact, the overall ride was much smoother than I expected. I was also grateful for the shoulder harnasses which lent a balance of comfort and security AND the pace of the first hill climb. They don't give you a chance to let your anxiety build too much as the first lift hill hauls...an act of kindness, I must say. I love the Intamin innovations on other coasters and RMC has the midas touch with just about everything it puts out these days...but while they may be less fashionable at the moment and the intensity will be too much for some, I really hope we get more Giga's like I305. Big, fast and scary never goes out of style.

Wow! I thought this ride would be really good, but it was beyond my expectations. The scale of it did not really hit me until I was standing next to it. It's bigger and faster than Velocicoaster and has more ingenuity and tricks up it's sleeve as well. I still rate Velocicoaster higher as Pantheon lacks something along the lines of personality. But let's not split hairs. This is a fantastic ride. The first inversion/zero G winder is just a mean, tease leading up to a combination that I can only see being outdone by the Top Thrill Dragster reboot. If you are in the front, the first hill stall is wild and the skip/ejector hill during the backward launch is just devious...but there's no hiding in the back seats either as you get the full effect of the backward hill stall. And while these first half elements make the headlines, the second half is nothing to sneeze at. There's still something missing in Pantheon I can't put my finger on (again, let's just say personality for now.) But this is a remarkable and innovative Intamin ride nonetheless and a top 10 for me.

The first climb and drop look more devious than they actually turn out to be...but they are fun and that modest degree of fun persists throughout the ride with a couple of inversions and a corkscrew at the end. it's a smaller version of Universal's Rip Ride Rocket and lacks the intensity of that ride. But it'll get the heart rate up a bit just going up the first 90 degree climb and while it's not a true daredevil's coaster, it has a nice intensity for younger riders.

As much as I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed Batman - the Ride clone at SFOG, I DID NOT LIKE Superman - Ultimate Flight. The line was longer than it needed to be and the sun was beating down pretty hard on me and my party prior to riding. I only share this detail as it likely impacted my mood and appetite for a flying coaster clone. I suppose the ride was exactly what I thought it would be, and while I'm glad I went on it and can check it off my list, I don't need to ever go on it again...and I won't.

I know this is a clone. I know it's not as big, long or fast as Raptor, Afterburn, Alpengeist, Banshee, etc. i know it's been around for over 25 years and it's hey-day is behind it. But this ride still packs a punch with notable g-forces felt, tremendous whip and a sense of speed and intensity that is on par with its contemporaries despite its smaller stature. The ride also completely unlocked my 9 year-old daughter's "roller coaster chi." She bailed on Twisted Cyclone earlier in the day and had been back-peddling from coasters a bit over the past 6 months, but after Batman - The Ride, she wanted to go on EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE PARK. And we did - including Twisted Cyclone and Goliath. The ride is a great rush for enthusiasts with multiple elements that still pack a "POW!" Additionally (and why I like this ride the most), the ride is accessible and confidence building for up-and-coming enthusiasts like my daughter. We went on it 3x together...and fellow friends and dads joined us. It was a solid ride, a great shared experience...and for my daughter, the first of many more.

This is a really, really great Disney ride. I just wouldn't call it a really great roller coaster. It is among the most enjoyable and exciting experiences you'll find on a Disney property, but I find it far less intense than even The Mummy at Universal. I went on it only 3 months ago and I'm having difficulty recalling all the elements - it's not necessarily forgettable, but it lacks the POW! factor that I am personally looking for in a coaster. I think I've always been puzzled why Disney hasn't just let it rip on 1-2 rides over the years...and I think I've subconsciously held this against the parks since my first visit at 13 years-old (which is too old for a first visit.) I recognize the need to appeal to a broader, younger, family-audience, but Universal manages to do this AND include something like the Velocicoaster. Give me one ride with a 100 ft+ drop Disney!
But back to the ride itself...it breathes some really necessary life into Epcot. It has some really strong, modern elements...and the theming/music that everyone raves about really is top notch. A great experience, just not a great coaster.

I was intimidated by this ride the first time I saw it and used my daughter's size (she was only "52 last year) as an excuse to duck it. When we went back to SFOG this year I knew I had to give it a shot. It just looked so big compared to everything else at the park. When I finally got the courage up to ride it, I found Goliath to be remarkably tame. It's a "big-boy" as my daughter likes to say, but not on a giga-coaster scale and while the speed was great, I think the absence of a truly steep drop left me longing for more. It is a really strong ride nonetheless. Good size, speed with some nice ejectors and airtime throughout a seemingly long ride (which I found to be a good thing.) It's almost the exact opposite of the Twisted Cyclone which packs more of a punch into a much smaller frame. In that way, the two complement each other very well as the premiere coasters at Six Flags Over Georgia.
