As a ride, this is 4☆ out of 5☆. It's a great ride! But it has drawbacks. I hated this ride before I even rode it because it has the longest line of any coasters at PortAventura. I think it was bad judgement to build a coaster like this that are bound to be popular but has such terrible capacity. But this is the same trap that all the popular dark rides at Universal Studios and Disney deals woth as well. Sure, you make great rides but I would rather ride Kawasemi five more times instead of spending 3 hours in a queue.

You know what you are in for with these rides. They might not be much more than a drop tower on rails but there is a wonderful view from up there. I can't help to feel like it's a bit of a lost oppetyunity though. You have all that height but not much are done with it. You could have added a great coaster ride! But I get it: The lines are long enough as they are. At least they are able to send these trains off at a great pace. Isn't it funny though? You don't feel that height. You are shot out of a cannon and then you plummet to the ground. Compare that to a Fury 325 or a Steel Dragon 2000. You for damned sure know you are high up on those rides. That tension is all gone here.

I didn't love this one on my first ride. I was placed in the back and even though the ride had forces I felt like I was fighting it like a mechanical bull. The front was fantastic though. And surprisingly it had more airtime (which doesn't make much sense to me). To summarise: In the back you feel the track underneath you. In the front you're floating over those hills. So, hold on tight with one hand, raise your cowboy hat with the other and say 'Yi-ha!'.

My first impression after riding Dragon Khan and Shambhala in the back was that I preferred the fun layout and pacing over Shambhala's intensity and height. After reriding them both (this time in the front) I had to reevaluate them both. Shambhala got smoother and with more airtime in the front while Dragon Khan caused headbanging. But this goes to show that ranking coasters is difficult. It depends on so many aspects. But you will for sure have a great time on both. Just watch your ears on Dragon Khan!

A weird ride. It has three lifthills but doesn't do much with it. It should be able to build up some real speed and give airtime oppertunities but instead it mostly bangs you around and go into breaks. It's still decent. It is quite long.
