    Airtimes Lap Bar Location

This ride is awsome, but you have to sit in the back row. The first drop gives good flojector and a great stomach dropping feeling. The first camelback gives great sustained floater, and the twisted Camelback gives even stronger floater paired with laterals. The helix is kinda forceless, but still fun, and the second half has lots of good small drops with strong floater airtime. I love how the ride is constantly diving in and out of trenches, the second Camelback is especially cool, because it's so close to the lake. I also love the clamshell restraints. I found a way to get tons of room, and it really adds to the ride experience.

Some solid floater airtime but the airtime strength is very overrated, there is also a lot of dead spots. Still it is a pretty fun ride with a bunch of good moments.

Lap Bar Location Masterpiece Airtimes Layout

    Airtimes First Drop Location

Definitely not the best hyper out there but very good. The location is fantastic and the hills all give very solid floater. The first drop is good and the return trip is super fun. Great floater filled ride.

    Airtimes Location Fun

This is currently my favorite B&M hyper coaster I've ridden. This ride has both great floater and flojector throughout a great long layout through the woods. If you love B&M hypers, you'll love this ride

    Airtimes Capacity Comfort

Six months ago, I left this exact review on this page: "Three words; big mine train." and gave the ride two stars. I thought the ride was boring and I got no airtime or forces at all. I thought the drop sucked, and the only good part of this ride was the setting. That was based on my two rides in August of 2019. In June of 2021, I got back to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and while waiting to drive into the parking lot, I saw this thing running and noticed that the train was flying over the hills. I figured I'd give this ride another chance. My brother and I got into the park and went straight for this ride because it usually never has a line. We ran through the queue and went straight for the back row. We dispatched and I still had low expectations but was excited to be getting back on a B&M hyper. Also, you get a great view of Pantheon from this lift, it looks gorgeous! We reached the top of the chain lift, we dipped off of the chain into the pre-drop, gained a surprising amount of speed for a tiny dip, and I remember my life flashing before my eyes as we were thrown over that first drop. I have a clear memory of my head tilted to the left, looking at the massive hills in front of me, getting insane ejector, screaming my lungs out, all the while fearing for my phone in my cargo pocket. It was then I knew that the ride I was riding now, was not the ride that I remembered. Every valley brought intense, spine-crushing g force, and every hill gave borderline ejector airtime. And I thought after slamming into that mid-course that the second half wouldn't be as good as the phenomenal first half. NOPE! You fly off of that brake run, getting absolutely TORN out of your seat! Every valley is a borderline grey-out moment and every bit of airtime is ejector. That final drop and valley are one of the most insane series of elements I've ever felt! We hit the final brakes and I just went 'WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK?!" I thought it felt like an upgrade of Superman; Ride of Steel that I rode the day before, with better elements and infinitely better trains. It starts with a fantastic drop, followed by lots of flojector, followed by a twister section (Superman's helices are a complete joke compared to this ride's awesome s-turns ) and ending it out with a series of nuts airtime hills! I got 9 rides on this thing that day, and made some of my favorite memories with my brother! Heckling Pantheon on the lift hill for not being open, betting for the back row left edge seat (Which, by the way, is this ride's magic seat), and stapling each other on the brake run! The day ended perfectly when we got the last ride of the night, in the pitch black, with Apollo absolutely HAULING! We even broke down on the brake run because they couldn't get the train in front of us out of the station. I was praying for my first evac cred, but they fixed it. I think I like it more than Candymonium, which is the only other B&M hyper I've ridden. (Don't get me wrong, I love that ride, this ride model is incredible!) Overall this ride is a 10/10 for me. I love the restraints and layout! Best ride in the park (Until Pantheon opens lol)

    Airtimes Location Comfort

A masterpiece. I'm biased because this got me into coasters and have had some extremely memorable rides on it, but it really holds up as one of the better hypers. It has a very simple layout but adding in the perfect location, amazing night rides, and exceptionally bonkerz floater airtime makes it a classic. Combine loose restraints and back row endseats and you're in for some great air flying through the trees and over water.

    Airtimes Location Pace

Apollo's Chariot is one of my favorite B&M hypers. I'm usually a front row guy for hypers, but for this one I absolutely prefer the back. The biggest airtime moments aren't camelbacks, but rather very sharp drops and dips along the terrain, so I recommend back for maximum ejector whip. This coaster has it all; good pacing, strong airtime, a good helix, a moment of sideways airtime, and awesome terrain interaction. Definitely a highlight in Virginia for me.

    Location Fun Rattle Dead spots

Apollo's Chariot is pretty good overall, but fairly mediocre as far as B&M hypers go. The turnaround is really the star of Apollo's Chariot. The big hills don't consistently deliver. Apollo's second half is quite strong, however. Apollo is also in the perfect location for a B&M hyper. Absolutely beautiful. Apollo is pretty good, but not outstanding.

    Airtimes Pace Layout

The first ever B&M hyper is easily the best I've ridden. The smooth airtime was expected, but the forceful low turns surprised me. It packs more variety than any other "airtime machine" model I've been on.

    Airtimes Location Comfort Intensity

If you are going in expecting an intense coaster — you will be disappointed. Apollo’s Chariot delivers superbly on the airtime scale, and nearly every hill on the second half (with at least some room) will throw you out of your seat! This coaster has a beautiful setting chasing right along the Rhine River, with the first three airtime hills that line it giving some very good floater airtime. The drop off the midcourse is taken quickly resulting in some pretty powerful ejector air, as is the 50ft ravine dive finale. This is my 2nd favorite coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, second only to Alpengeist.

Location Fun Harness Disappointing! Dead spots

I had several rides on Apollo's Chariot - including one in the night - and they were all a bit underwhelming. The airtime is very soft and the ride as a whole lacks G-forces from my experience. Still though, this hypercoaster uses the terrain very well and does have a couple of good moments.

    Airtimes Capacity Fun Rattle Theming

Apollo's Chariot is a ride i'm totally a fan of. I went back and forth on if nitro or apollo is better and yeah, it's the weaker of those two. It's still tons of fun though. You crest the lift and go into this weird straight section of track and away you go! The drop is fun all the way down and then you reach the bottom. Sadly, there is a rattle down there and its a really noticeable one too. Go into this decent floater hill and then go into this dissapointing hill/turn which dosen't really do anything. Go into a mediocre helix and drop again. Now this is where apollo gets good. These little hills on the way back don't look like much but HOLY CRAP AIRTIME. There's actually some ejector here too. After the great bit that is the bunny hillls, go into the brakes. Apollo seems flipped to me. Normally the front is the highlight section and the back isn't. Well here, it's a little different. Overall, Apollo is one of the weaker B&M hypers but even so, it's great. It's past it's prime for sure, but Apollo still has some left in the tank and deleviers a fun experience.
