First Drop Comfort Ejectors Theming
This was the undisputed coaster king in Florida until Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi burst onto the scene. This B&M is fantastic and is still a five out of five experience in my book. The airtimes are ridiculously good, the views from the first drop are breathtaking, and it’s easily one of the most comfortable coasters I’ve been on. The hype behind Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi are definitely deserved, but don’t count Mako out of your Florida coasters experience. It isn’t too far behind either of them in terms of quality and experience. My only complaint, and I don’t even really think it’s a valid complaint, is that the theming is kind of cringey and bad. But, it’s a SeaWorld coaster. You shouldn’t go in expecting amazing theming anyways (Manta’s queue is an outlier).

Airtimes Comfort Smoothness
Mako is my hometown hyper, and it's near and dear to me. It's beautiful, graceful, and well themed. It has a beautiful queue and an amazing soundtrack. The airtime is complimented by the perfect smoothness and clamshells. An amazing first drop, fun overbanks, and a beautiful setting over the water. The first camelback is my favorite moment of airtime on any coaster. The only coaster in Florida that eclipses Mako is Velocicoaster, which has a longer layout, more variety in its elements, and better theming.

Airtimes First Drop Masterpiece
Before doing this ride you must know 3 things, this ride has one of the best (+ longest) drop on any rollercoaster (X2 drop is still better tho). Secondly, this ride is not very thrilling, but that doesn’t matter because, thirdly, this is absolutely filled with airtime! 10/10 ride!
-
Airtimes Comfort Fun Dead spots
Fun ride. The end is a dead spot with it being about the visuals, but this is a floater machine.
-
Airtimes First Drop Smoothness Layout
Airtime machine! Especially on those first few hills, it's a must ride in the back cus it pulls you over the camelbacks with force, but I feel like the second half isn't as exciting. But it's still my favorite B&M hyper so far
-
First Drop Pace Masterpiece
This ride really makes you *feel* like a Mako shark. All jokes aside, both thrill and story-wise a great use of coaster forces to make a strong contender for the best coaster in the world. Every moment feels intentional and meaningful, and I can only say that for a handful of coasters.
-
Airtimes First Drop Smoothness
I actually think this is the smoothest coaster I've ever been on xD Front row in the dark was great!
-
Very big, very swoopy. Nice.

-
Airtimes Lap Bar Smoothness Dead spots
B&M hypers usually don't thrill me a lot, but this ranks among the better ones. It's a nice, pleasant ride with some long floater airtimes and some decent intensity.
-
Airtimes Lap Bar Smoothness
The queen of all hyper coasters. Still solidly smooth, great pacing - especially with the speed hill, and an exciting location right on the lake with awesome views.
-
Airtimes Smoothness
Its very long for a hyper and does things a little more unique than others.
-
Airtimes Comfort Dead spots
Mako was severely disappointing for me. While it was a nearly empty train for all 3 rides I got, I thought the airtime was pretty average and the layout wasn't all that special. It's got a great setting but doesn't deliver for a hyper and the finale is so dumb. Just a worse version of Candymonium imo.
-
Airtimes Comfort Smoothness
Flawless B&M hyper packed with airtime, and every element is enjoyable. In the back you’ll get nice flojector on the first drop, but the real showstopper is that airtime hill in the first half where you’re out of your seat before you even start cresting the hill! I could ride this all day, and there’s never much of a line either!
-
Airtimes Intensity Hangtime
Must ride. Mako is excellent for what it is. There is no con about the ride. The layout is awesome, it has great airtime and hangtime. There’s just one bad thing about the ride: WHEN IT’S OVER! It’s probably the second best coaster in Florida, only behind VelociCoaster. Ride Mako. Kraken is good, but Mako is the best. Live it. Be it. RIDE it.
-
Capacity Comfort Fun Disappointing! Dead spots
Above average B&M hyper but still nothing special. However it is a fun ride with a few good floater moments.

Airtimes First Drop Harness Theming Intensity
Great Drop, great airtime, relativley smooth. I had lots of room, so I was fully able to appreciate this coaster's wonderful airtime and speed. However, similar to Shambhala, this ride really has nothing else interesting about the layout outside of it's great airtime.

Airtimes First Drop Fun
Good B&M Hyper. First drop, first camelback, speed hill. All of those are reasons why this is so near and dear to me. Brilliant job B&M. Just wish you had taken notes of this before making Candymonium.
-
Airtimes Masterpiece Harness
Amazing first drop, amazing air time hills, solid ending over water.
-
Airtimes First Drop Comfort
My favorite B&M hyper. The layout is great and it has some of the best floater airtime out there. It is a beautiful ride and is exceptionally smooth. Easily makes it in my top 15.
-
Airtimes First Drop Fun
This is a very good B&M hyper. That first drop is fantastic and it provides great floater airtime
-
Airtimes First Drop Comfort
This ride has so much sustained floater airtime throughout and is a very smooth ride.
-
there are better hyper out there. i prefer shambhala and goliath, sfog. but it has still good airtime but not that agressive moments like the 2 others.
-
Airtimes Capacity Comfort Dead spots
This is the coaster ive ridden more than any other, and it is an amazing ride. Great floater, and even a speed hill with some mild ejector. The dead spot is the first bit after the mid courses. It brings you a bit to the left, into a small camelback, which is forceless. After that though, it brings you into some overbanks over footpaths and a lake which i love. Did i mention 85% of this coaster is over a lake? its in the corner of the park, so you get a good view of orlando. This coaster also has a light package on the lift hill which is nice, and music that plays on the lift, which is good. Overall this is the best b&m hyper, atleast in north america.

Airtimes First Drop Pace
Mako is my absolute favorite B&M hyper coaster. It does everything right in my opinion. The ride is beautiful. One of my favorite color schemes on any roller coaster. It has a beautiful entrance plaza and a nicely themed queue line. The trains are comfortable with no seat belts. The ride itself is fantastic. The first drop is incredibly intense. It flings you out of your seat with aggression. The overbanked turn gives some whip. The first big camelback absolutely throws you out of your seat for what feels like forever. The hammerhead turn gives some more whip and the following two hills give fantastic floater airtime. The speed hill before the mid-course gives some incredible ejector airtime. The drop of the mid-course also gives some airtime and the following hill gives some good floater. The little wave turn-esque element that follows gives you sideways airtime in the left seat and the dive over the lake is a picturesque way to end the ride. Mako is an elite ride and one of my all time favorites.

Airtimes Masterpiece Harness
God bless what a great BandM Hyper. The music on the lift hill is cool, the colors are cool, sharks are cool and the ride itself is just so so so much fun. Airtime galore and with the clamshell restraints you feel it all.
-
Airtimes First Drop Smoothness
Best B&M hyper I have been on. It varies alot depending on how fast the train is coming into the trims. At night with an empty train you can get almost no trims. Than it's absolutely insane....
-
Comfort Smoothness Disappointing! Tear it down! Pointless
Such a shitty excuse for a hyper I was in my seat the whole time. Mako has no airtime and is such a shitty excuse for a hyper I hope it burns and rests in piss
-
Airtimes First Drop Comfort
Incredible hyper with a great first drop, fantastic airtime moments, and the clampshell restraints are so comfortable except for the fact that they come down further during the ride. Overall a great ride and my number two.
-
Airtimes First Drop Comfort
Mako is the best coaster I have ridden so far. It has so much airtime and ejector that it is better than any coaster I have ridden. When I first went on it I wasn’t expecting it to be very good but it was amazing! The colour scheme, the track layout, everything about it makes it such a good coaster!
-
Airtimes Pace Fun
Wow. Just wow. Better than Fury 325! The airtime is borderline ejector on the first drop, big camelback hill, speed hill, and drop off the midcourse in the back. The twists at the end are so well paced, especially in the front. Incredible ride, and the ride-ops only pull to check the restraints instead of stapling you. Number 3 overall.
-
Airtimes Comfort Smoothness Dead spots
Great B&M Hyper! It makes me look all the more forward to Candymonium at HP whenever i get to ride it! the 5 second Lifter hill is to DIE FOR

Airtimes Comfort Smoothness
Beautiful, smooth, fast and graceful air time machine! I felt it was the best coaster in Florida by far before I rode Velocicoaster. Large capacity, really comfortable clam shell restraints and great airtime on the first drop, speed hill and airtime hill make for an amazing ride! Very easily re-rideable and makes Sea World a must visit while you are in Orlando!
-
Best hyper out there. It's not even close. All hypers are good too, but this one is on another level. Zero faults. A must ride.
-
Airtimes First Drop Comfort
I went on a 65 degree day, so mako was probably running horribly, yet I still had a blast! That first drop is amazing, as well as the camelback and the speed hill! Every moment is amazing, and the clamshells are the best restraints created besides than buzzbars! Ride in the back. You'll fly.
-
Airtimes First Drop Lap Bar Dead spots
Mako isn't the best B&M hyper I've been on. But, it is still a really great, signature, smooth B&M. I highly recommend it.
-
Comfort Harness Hangtime
SPEED and airtime are what’s this about. To everyone saying “deadspots” I would like to ask, where? This ride is the most smooth and comfortable hyper I’ve ever experienced. Holy cow this airtime is nice. Back row, right seat, is magic. I rode this 7 times because covid had zero crowds lol.

Airtimes First Drop Comfort
Incredible coaster with some incredible airtime and easily my favorite hyper coaster.
-
Airtimes Nice surprise! Ejectors
9.4 out of 10. great out and back with nothing but big hang time with lots of hills. a very enjoyable, fun and fast coaster. will go back soon to ride it again

Airtimes Comfort Fun
Mako is one of the best B&M hyper coasters ever built. It’s my 2nd favorite, just behind Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Airtimes First Drop Smoothness
To be truly honest, whenever I visit Orlando, this is the coaster I'm begging to ride every time. This coaster is beautifully built with a perfect tall drop (not too high), amazing twists and turns, the speed is fast and enjoyable, and is as smooth as a coaster can possibly get. What's even better about it is that its harnesses allow you to experience some long airtimes and feel comfortable and secure. The theming is pretty decent along with it's setting being along a small lake to give you that feeling of swimming like the Mako shark, Aka. the fastest breed of shark. If you plan on visiting SeaWorld, I suggest you take a quick visit to this amazing masterpiece of a roller coaster. When you see it, don't be afraid of its height, but be excited instead to know that you're going to be able to ride to the best roller coaster in all of Orlando. This coaster will not let your hopes down and will turn your day into an exciting, adventurous one, just like what happened to mine. Not only is there this coaster at the park but two other superior coasters that won't hurt to try out as well.

Airtimes First Drop Layout
Mako is a welcome change in Florida; which has lacked a steel airtime machine for far too long. I am hoping there are more to come! The layout is functional but not exactly inspired; a straight forward out-and-back rather than attempting to do too much clever with all that power. Row 3 seems to offer the most airtime (bizarre, yes!)

First Drop Comfort Fun Intensity
Love love love Mako! :D the color of the track is awesome.. Love the sharks in the station.. First drop is epic! And the banking.. The airtime.. Massive smile the whole way round.. Top coaster for me! :)
