Inversions Location Layout
Montu was my most anticipated coaster going into my Florida trip, and it lived up to my expectations. The ride features powerful forces, a wonderful setting, and some great whip, pretty much everything it says on the tin and it does it well - and while never going above and beyond with it's aspects like Nemesis, the ride is still thouroughly capable of delivering a well paced, well crafted coaster on a scale bigger than other inverts. It's a banging ride indeed.

Inversions Location Intensity
This is a great B&M invert with great inversions and several whippy intense moments, especially that batwing
-
Inversions Pace Intensity
My favorite B&M invert. It is like a longer Afterburn. The pacing is off the charts and the mid course barely slows the ride down. The batwing element is downright abusive. Definitely snag a back row ride later in the day, it will be one of the most surreal coaster experiences of your life.

Harness Duration
A fun invert, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I mean, it's still a solid ride, but I have more fun on Raptor, Banshee and Afterburn.
-
My favorite B&M invert. Raptor and Banshee are both great, as is Silver Bullet, but this wins. I like the batwing more than the cobra roll on Raptor. Plus the theming and troughs it passes you through put it on top for me.

Capacity Inversions Duration
This ride was my first invert and it did not disappoint! It has a cool Egyptian themed queue line, and It's much less rough than its sit-down counterpart Kumba across the park. This ride doesn't slow down until it hits the final brakes. It's intense, it's thrilling, and it's fun as HECK.

Pace Intensity Layout
Montu is my personal favorite B&M inverted coaster. The ride is incredibly intense with a long and exciting layout full of terrain interaction and a great variety of G-Forces. The blue and beige color scheme looks great with some beautiful trains. The pathway interaction and large arch gives Montu quite the first impression walking up to the entrance. You go through the loosely themed Egyptian queue line and board. You turn out of the station and onto the lift hill. You drop to the left once you reach the top and go through an intense vertical loop. You enter an immelman loop that is one of the most intense moments of the ride. You go through a whippy zero-g roll that slings you sideways and dives to the ground. You then enter one of the greatest elements of all time, the batwing. This elements whips you hard to the side and crushes you with positive G-Force. You hop up into the mid-course and dive to the right. You go through some low to the ground twists and turns that create a great near-miss interaction. One more vertical loop is thrown in with good positives. You turn to the left and then dive into a trench before traversing a corkscrew that is very whippy. You then turn into the brake run. Montu is a long ride full of intensity and laterals. The location and layout make this the best inverted coaster in the world in my opinion.

Inversions Pace Intensity
My first ever rollercoaster. I was a scaredy-cat before this but I got on all those years ago and I’m glad I did. Very whippy and intense and always leaves me slightly dizzy in a good way.

Inversions Intensity Smoothness
Montu is an outstanding invert with a barrage of fantastic inversions and intense turns. The zero-g roll and the batwing are incredible, as is the rest of this amazing ride.

First Drop Pace Disappointing! Discomfort
I hate foot numbness some inverts have & I love hangtime. Montu has neither. Well it does have a little foot numbness, which is why this ride is just ok. It's the most overrated coaster I've ridden but it's fine.

Theming Inversions Intensity
The most intense invert out there, not one compares
-
Inversions Intensity Smoothness
So whippy, not the perfect ride but I love it nonetheless. A little disappointed though

The hype is big for Montu. It checks every box. Yet, for me, it didn't deliver like a few other inverts have. Something about it just didn't hit me right. It rides great, is big, the inversions are proper and the pacing is excellent...but nothing stood out making it head and shoulders above the rest. Alpengeist is still my favorite bc of how big it feels and it has the perfect setting. Great Bear feels so original and the tight loop hits just right as it roars throughout the parks and over the water. Montu, while great, doesn't beat those two for me. A must ride, and a stellar ride at that, but not the legend it's made out to be. I did prefer a back row on it by far.

Just make sure to ride it later in the day when it warms up, I rode it at night and it was awesome without the trims on!!!

Inversions Pace Intensity
Amazing (one of the best) B&M inverts. It has many inversions, cool layout, is intense and pretty fast paced.
-
Inversions Intensity Duration
This is probably the coaster I have the most laps on. It's so rerideable.

Intensity Discomfort
ハードすぎて疲れるのでなんでこんなに評価が高いのかよくわかりません。が、あまりにも空いているのでついつい連続で乗ってしまい後悔をします。
-
Inversions Pace Layout
8.0 out of 10. many inversions and the pace works. not as smooth as Raptor

Theming Intensity Layout
While I may not praise Montu to death like its brother Kumba, this ride still has a lot going for it. Montu is an excellent invert and was the first I ever rode. It’s still my favorite to this day, outplacing Banshee, Afterburn, Batman (Over Texas and Over Georgia), Great Bear, Raptor and Talon. It was the second major coaster I ever rode, right after Kumba — which got me into coasters — and features lots of intense inversions and turns. Most notably are the corkscrew finale, INSANE batwing, immelmann, second loop and helix. Montu provides much raw intensity for being an old-school B&M, and most prefer Montu to Kumba; however because of the special place Kumba has in my heart (read my review on Kumba if you are interested in hearing more on that) I rank Kumba higher, but Montu isn’t far behind. I am riding both this April after nearly four long years of being away from my former home park (Busch Gardens Tampa), and I am over the moon about it!

Inversions Intensity Dead spots
If "inconsistent" was a listed con I would most certainly choose it - I've had very good rides on Montu but also ones that are incredibly boring.

Inversions Location Intensity Dead spots
Old school B&M from a time before restrictions on G-loading. The only real fault are the heavy mid-course brakes to take the sting out of it's batwing, one of the heaviest loaded elements you'll find anywhere. On last visit we had the back rows to ourselves; to the point where we could repeat ride without getting off. The cool kids can muck about on Cheetah Hunt's gimmicks, more space for the us here on a ride really worth travelling half way round the world to see!

Inversions Fun Intensity Headbanging
Montu is a beast! Really packs a punch the whole way round, love the batwings.. really intense! Love the near miss against the wall, feels like your feet are going to hit it! Final corkscrew is a good finisher. Find it a bit of a headbanger nearer to the back though .. Rode it twice in a row last time and had a headache after. But still love it! Love the color of the track too

Inversions Intensity Layout Airtimes
This ride is just a maniac and so powerful! It roars like crazy! Man and that Zero g roll and batwing are heaven!

Theming Inversions Intensity Dead spots
As my 2nd favorite invert in the US, Montu thrives off of its huge amount of inversions, incredible forcefulness and fast whip, and enormous size and scale. The batwing, zero-g roll, and flat spin are particularly intense. I also like how each trench is themed, with hieroglyphics on the stone walls. Montu's downfall is pacing: It feels like a series of intense elements, strung together with turns, rather than an intense, continuous experience like Kumba or Afterburn. It also slows down a bit after the midcourse, dragging through the second loop and helix, before picking up again into the explosive final corkscrew. While the pacing isn't the best, the sheer size and power of Montu is so awesome that it outweighs the cons by far.
