Fun Harness Duration
This is one of the best inverts around. It is smooth, and it delivers good intensity on all of its elements. It's just a lot of fun!
-
Inversions Pace Intensity
Fantastic invert. Great inversions, fast ride, and the intensity, wow the intensity is incredible. One of the most intense rides I've done.
-
Capacity Inversions Duration
This is my favorite inverted coaster to date. It's everything I want in an invert with the speed, whip, and duration. The first drop is fantastic and you really build speed into that first loop. It was very intense and reminded me of the speed on Afterburn at Carowinds. This also included a batwing element which has easily become my favorite type of inversion/inversions on these inverts. Speeding through the beautiful trenches also added to the amazing experience. The wait was no time at all because the capacity of these B&M inverts is always top-notch. 4.5/5 stars

Inversions Fun Intensity Dead spots
I love montu, It is an incredible inverted coaster by B&M . I love the rides first half, with the first loop, zero g roll and especially the batwing being highlights due to either incredible whip and/or positive g’s. The valleys are also forceful. The second half is not as impressive as the pacing lets up after the second loop until the final whippy corkscrew, Still a near perfect invert

Inversions Layout Duration Dead spots
Montu was no better or worse than some of the other B&M inverted coasters I've recently ridden. If anything, it suffered from being the last of a familiar line-up of inverts I've been on over the last few months (including Alpengeist, Great Bear, Raptor, Afterburn, Batman clone at SFOG.) They are all great, but they are beginning to feel a bit redundant. What I liked about Montu that was unique was the batwing component which really whips. Everyone mentions this, but it really is an elite element and unlike anything I've experienced on other inverts. If you're only so lucky as to go on one of these, Montu will certainly do the trick. If I had to pick one, Alpengeist is my favorite.

Inversions Pace Intensity
This is probably the world's best invert. The forces are so insane (especially on the batwing) that they try to rip your feet off. It makes lapping it tough as trying to walk afterwards is pretty challenging. The inversions are also insanely whippy, and the trenches are great. Awesome ride.

World's best invert. The forces are insane on this thing, and it's insanely whippy. That batwing in particular is one hell of an element and it tries to rip your feet off. Awesome ride.

Inversions Intensity Layout
Montu is a fantastic ride, and really keeps up the intensity throughout the entire ride. The layout is very well done, and the pacing is so good that the inversions just come by as a blur. My one nitpick is that it feels too much like exactly what you'd expect from an invert--this is more personal, however, because I do like it when rides do something that's unique. Either way, Montu is just a super fun and intense B&M invert that's smooth and comfortable.

Inversions Intensity Layout Dead spots
Definitely a top tier invert. Most of the inversions are very intense and snappy. With the batwing being one of the craziest inversions I’ve experienced. On top of that it’s a very long ride so there are plenty of great moments. However my biggest con with this ride is that a lot of the transitions in between elements feel slow and forceless which affects the pacing, but the elements themselves make up for it with how great they are.
-
Theming Pace Intensity
Best invert I have ever ridden. The Batwing is an elite element
-
Inversions Pace Intensity
This thing is so intense, it's completely nuts. The whip, the forces, it's all so strong and throughout all the layout, no dead spots, with the batwing and zero-g roll being the highlights. The trenches are a very nice addition to help the sense of speed. Montu is fantastic!
-
Masterpiece Intensity Duration
This is, without a doubt, the best B&M invert I've ever ridden. The ride was pretty intense, and that batwing completely surprised me. And those trenches are perfectly placed throughout the layout. If you're a fan of inverted coasters, this one is right up your alley.

Theming Inversions Intensity
Montu thrives off of its huge amount of inversions, incredible forcefulness and fast whip, and enormous size and scale. The batwing, zero-g roll, and flat spin are particularly intense. I also like how each trench is themed, with hieroglyphics on the stone walls. The sheer size and power of Montu is awesome.

Inversions Masterpiece Intensity
I love B&M inverted coasters! And this is my favourite one, and I think that says a lot! Montu is a great ride with amazing moments pilled in to it’s very long ride time! Great ride!
-
Layout Headbanging Discomfort Intensity
Montu is my least favorite ride at the park. This pales in comparison to rides like Cobra's Curse, Sand Serpent, and Air Grover. Not even close. I get lots of headbanging due to the bulky OSTRs. The batwing is the best element, but it is highly overrated, and the positive G's make me slam my head into the lap bar. Additionally, I do not view this ride as intense enough. Provided it was manufactured by Intamin or if it was an Arrow 4D coaster, it would be a lot better. The ride's main flaw is the fact that it was manufactured by B&M. Very promising ride ruined by the manufacturer. Also the fact that the ride is viewable from the parking lot deducts 1 and 1/2 stars according to the PLCGFOA parking lot coaster guidelines. I would like this ride to be torn down and replaced with an RMC hyper hybrid coaster with gerstlauer trains. Would give it a 0 if I could.
-
Inversions Pace Intensity Capacity
This thing hauls through its layout and is butter smooth, what an insane B&M invert, it's hard to say if its better than Raptor, this one is definitely smoother but Raptor may have just a tad more whip. But the inversions surely whip you around and the batwing is awesome. It was running one train this time and that is no bueno especially for this one
-
Inversions Masterpiece Intensity
This ride is fantastic. The inversions are incredible, especially the zero-g rolls. I rode this twice, once in the middle and once in the back left seat. The middle ride was fun, but the back row is the place to be if you want the extra whip on the inversions.
-
Inversions Masterpiece Intensity
This is pretty much a perfect ride. It is full of positive Gs throughout and packs quite a punch. Sitting on either side in the back row is a great experience, especially off the first drop, where there is a lot of whip. The last time I rode it, I greyed out slightly right near the bottom of the first drop. I was sitting in the back row, far right seat, so there was a lot of whip from the first drop and a lot of intensity. Every inversion on the coaster is great and the low to the ground elements are just the icing on the cake.
-
Inversions Intensity Smoothness
This is probably the greatest inverted roller coaster to ever be built. Every single inversion is so whippy and forceful. If you love whippy inverts as much as I do, then you’ll love this one. There’s also a lot of positives, such as the batwing. That element is so insane for being so whippy and having such an intense greyout moment. This ride is also very smooth, which is surprising compared to other older B&Ms. Finally, it has nice theming. The queue is fun because of the murals. And I love diving into those sandy trenches. Truly a spectacular ride.
-
Inversions Pace Intensity Inversions Discomfort
An intensive ride, the inversions are both a blessing and a curse because of how intense it is. Some discomfort with foot numbing/tingling going over the inversions but it was an overall fun ride, nothing crazy though as I'm personally not a huge fan of inverted coasters. But a ride worth going on if visiting BGT
-
Fun Masterpiece Intensity
My second ever coaster. I was 7. Solidified what Kumba already had done to me as far as being a coaster fan. It's effectively an invert Kumba with every element bigger, longer, and more intense. A masterpiece.
-
Inversions Comfort Intensity
This ride definitely exceeded expectations for me. I went into worried about whether it would be a headbanger but it was not. Fun intense ride!
-
Inversions Comfort Smoothness
Amazing B&M invert. Rode it almost 20 times in a row and never got tired of it!
-
Airtimes First Drop Hangtime Headbanging Harness
I thought the batwing was really intense. I also thought the first drop felt really steep.
-
Inversions Intensity
Zero G Roll is amazing. Turn during airtime. The second most fun roller coaster at this amusement park. Less interesting than the Pyrenees.
-
Capacity Inversions Duration
This ride was my first invert and it did not disappoint! It has a cool Egyptian themed queue line, and It's much less rough than its sit-down counterpart Kumba across the park. This ride doesn't slow down until it hits the final brakes. It's intense, it's thrilling, and it's fun as HECK.
-
Inversions Intensity Layout
Montu, especially in the front row is a really great coaster. The trenches were really unique and the whole ride was intense. It is the best inverted coaster I’ve done so far.
-
Inversions Intensity Duration
An absolute masterpiece of a ride. My favorite invert I've been on, outperforming Batman (SFoG, GAm), Raptor, both dragons, and Afterburn. Insane intensity from start to finish, the ride absolutely hauls through the course. Trims weren't hitting when we went, so that batwing hit. Back left seat was ridiculous force wise, but front row for best views.
-
Pace Intensity
Very intense for an invert but it blew out my eardrums while riding very loud, very good.
-
First Drop Theming Inversions
Montu is a really good ride but can’t stack up with the greatest of inverts for me. It has a really great whippy drop and long inversion filled layout with some cool Egyptian theming but most of the inversions besides the zero g roll didn’t stand out for me. The coaster also is probably the least forceful b&m invert I’ve ridden and the slower second half is a major dud. Still a fun ride but can’t rival kumba in the same park.
-
-
Inversions Intensity Smoothness
The best B&M invert I’ve ridden! Montu is still butter smooth after 25+ years, and the pace and intensity are insane. If I’m not mistaken, the top speed of the ride isn’t reached until the bottom of the batwing, so Montu just gets faster and more intense with every element! A true gem of a coaster, a must ride at BGT!

Inversions Location Layout
Montu was my most anticipated coaster going into my Florida trip, and it lived up to my expectations. The ride features powerful forces, a wonderful setting, and some great whip, pretty much everything it says on the tin and it does it well - and while never going above and beyond with it's aspects like Nemesis, the ride is still thouroughly capable of delivering a well paced, well crafted coaster on a scale bigger than other inverts. It's a banging ride indeed.
-
Inversions Location Intensity
This is a great B&M invert with great inversions and several whippy intense moments, especially that batwing
-
Inversions Pace Intensity
My favorite B&M invert. It is like a longer Afterburn. The pacing is off the charts and the mid course barely slows the ride down. The batwing element is downright abusive. Definitely snag a back row ride later in the day, it will be one of the most surreal coaster experiences of your life.
-
My favorite B&M invert. Raptor and Banshee are both great, as is Silver Bullet, but this wins. I like the batwing more than the cobra roll on Raptor. Plus the theming and troughs it passes you through put it on top for me.
-
Pace Intensity Layout
Montu is my personal favorite B&M inverted coaster. The ride is incredibly intense with a long and exciting layout full of terrain interaction and a great variety of G-Forces. The blue and beige color scheme looks great with some beautiful trains. The pathway interaction and large arch gives Montu quite the first impression walking up to the entrance. You go through the loosely themed Egyptian queue line and board. You turn out of the station and onto the lift hill. You drop to the left once you reach the top and go through an intense vertical loop. You enter an immelman loop that is one of the most intense moments of the ride. You go through a whippy zero-g roll that slings you sideways and dives to the ground. You then enter one of the greatest elements of all time, the batwing. This elements whips you hard to the side and crushes you with positive G-Force. You hop up into the mid-course and dive to the right. You go through some low to the ground twists and turns that create a great near-miss interaction. One more vertical loop is thrown in with good positives. You turn to the left and then dive into a trench before traversing a corkscrew that is very whippy. You then turn into the brake run. Montu is a long ride full of intensity and laterals. The location and layout make this the best inverted coaster in the world in my opinion.

Inversions Pace Intensity
My first ever rollercoaster. I was a scaredy-cat before this but I got on all those years ago and I’m glad I did. Very whippy and intense and always leaves me slightly dizzy in a good way.
-
Inversions Intensity Smoothness
Montu is an outstanding invert with a barrage of fantastic inversions and intense turns. The zero-g roll and the batwing are incredible, as is the rest of this amazing ride.
-
First Drop Pace Disappointing! Discomfort
I hate foot numbness some inverts have & I love hangtime. Montu has neither. Well it does have a little foot numbness, which is why this ride is just ok. It's the most overrated coaster I've ridden but it's fine.
-
Theming Inversions Intensity
The most intense invert out there, not one compares
-
Inversions Intensity Smoothness
So whippy, not the perfect ride but I love it nonetheless. A little disappointed though
-
The hype is big for Montu. It checks every box. Yet, for me, it didn't deliver like a few other inverts have. Something about it just didn't hit me right. It rides great, is big, the inversions are proper and the pacing is excellent...but nothing stood out making it head and shoulders above the rest. Alpengeist is still my favorite bc of how big it feels and it has the perfect setting. Great Bear feels so original and the tight loop hits just right as it roars throughout the parks and over the water. Montu, while great, doesn't beat those two for me. A must ride, and a stellar ride at that, but not the legend it's made out to be. I did prefer a back row on it by far.
-
Theming Inversions Intensity
Just make sure to ride it later in the day when it warms up, I rode it at night and it was awesome without the trims on!!!

Inversions Pace Intensity
Amazing (one of the best) B&M inverts. It has many inversions, cool layout, is intense and pretty fast paced.
-
Inversions Intensity Duration
This is probably the coaster I have the most laps on. It's so rerideable.
-
Intensity Discomfort
ハードすぎて疲れるのでなんでこんなに評価が高いのかよくわかりません。が、あまりにも空いているのでついつい連続で乗ってしまい後悔をします。
-
Inversions Pace Layout
8.0 out of 10. many inversions and the pace works. not as smooth as Raptor
-
Theming Intensity Layout
While I may not praise Montu to death like its brother Kumba, this ride still has a lot going for it. Montu is an excellent invert and was the first I ever rode. It’s still my favorite to this day, outplacing Banshee, Afterburn, Batman (Over Texas and Over Georgia), Great Bear, Raptor and Talon. It was the second major coaster I ever rode, right after Kumba — which got me into coasters — and features lots of intense inversions and turns. Most notably are the corkscrew finale, INSANE batwing, immelmann, second loop and helix. Montu provides much raw intensity for being an old-school B&M, and most prefer Montu to Kumba; however because of the special place Kumba has in my heart (read my review on Kumba if you are interested in hearing more on that) I rank Kumba higher, but Montu isn’t far behind. I am riding both this April after nearly four long years of being away from my former home park (Busch Gardens Tampa), and I am over the moon about it!
-
Inversions Intensity Dead spots
If "inconsistent" was a listed con I would most certainly choose it - I've had very good rides on Montu but also ones that are incredibly boring.
-
Inversions Location Intensity Dead spots
Old school B&M from a time before restrictions on G-loading. The only real fault are the heavy mid-course brakes to take the sting out of it's batwing, one of the heaviest loaded elements you'll find anywhere. On last visit we had the back rows to ourselves; to the point where we could repeat ride without getting off. The cool kids can muck about on Cheetah Hunt's gimmicks, more space for the us here on a ride really worth travelling half way round the world to see!
-
Inversions Fun Intensity Headbanging
Montu is a beast! Really packs a punch the whole way round, love the batwings.. really intense! Love the near miss against the wall, feels like your feet are going to hit it! Final corkscrew is a good finisher. Find it a bit of a headbanger nearer to the back though .. Rode it twice in a row last time and had a headache after. But still love it! Love the color of the track too

This ride is just a maniac and so powerful! It roars like crazy! Man and that Zero g roll and batwing are heaven!
