    Fun Intensity Ejectors Rattle

This is much better later in the day after it's warmed up -- more intense airtime and ejectors. I LOVE how this whips you around with non-stop intensity. The only negative was the train clanking loudly on the rail seams in the second half. It was a noticeable difference from the smoothness of the first half. They need to get out the toolbox and tighten the bolts & plates on the rail seams.

First Drop Smoothness Hangtime Dead spots Intensity Reliability

Like most dive coasters, the drops on Dr. D were the only things that gave me any kind of thrill. The ride was pleasant and smooth, but it feels more like a family coaster than a "thrill ride." It's not a coaster that makes me say, "Wow, I gotta ride this again." One and done. Even with Flash Pass, I had to wait 70 minutes because it broke down three times while I was in line.

  • Coaster Nut

    Comfort Smoothness Dead spots Intensity

This is the most boring and forceless invert I've ridden. (I rode it in the morning, so maybe it hadn't warmed up yet?) There was only one inversion that provided any intensity. The rest of the ride just seemed to meander casually through the layout. When it got done, I thought, "I think I could fall asleep on this thing."

  • Coaster Nut

    Location Smoothness Intensity

I went in expecting a family coaster, and that's what I got - moderate pacing and low-level intensity. (If you go in expecting a thrill ride, you'll be very disappointed.) It was pleasant enough, but not something I desired to ride more than once.

  • Coaster Nut

    Fun Layout Capacity

I always enjoy these spinners as a nice diversion. If it hadn't been for my Flash Pass I would have skipped this, because the low capacity makes for a very long queue.

    Pace Fun Duration Rattle

Easily my favorite floorless. My first ride was in the front, which gives a great sensation of speed. You also get a smooth ride with some unique pops of air and good intensity on the inversions. My next rides were in the middle and back, and there was a moderate rattle that took away some of the fun. Ride in the front -- it's worth the wait.

  • Coaster Nut

    Inversions Fun Duration Rattle

The back-to-back loops at the start are smooth and really fun. The rest of the layout is creative, but the train rattled in the second half. It wasn't a horrible rattle, but it was enough to detract from an otherwise entertaining ride.

  • Coaster Nut

    Comfort Fun Intensity

Of the many Batman clones I've ridden, this comes in a close second to the one at SFOG. This is smooth and intense, and it's just a good time.

    Rattle Discomfort

I enjoy classic woodies, but this was not enjoyable. It rattled horribly from first drop to finish. Glad when it ended.

  • Coaster Nut

    First Drop Inversions Launch Discomfort

I hit this on a day when there were no lines. I laughed throughout each ride because I was having so much fun. The first drop out of the station was surprising and intense. The launches, inversions and airtimes are great. You need to ride it multiple times because each seat gives a new ride experience. My favorite ride was where I was backward for the first drop (awesome!) and then facing down for an overbanked turn. The only drawback was that the spinning gave me slight nausea, so I had to take breaks between rides.

  • Coaster Nut

    Location Layout Duration

An awesome and unique wooden coaster. The trip through the woods is a blast. The layout is nicely done with lots of great airtime, and the closeness to the terrain makes it feel like it's going faster than it really is. It's also very smooth for a woodie. Lines were pretty short, and I was able to ride it 12 times in three hours. I made a special trip to Lake Compounce for this coaster, and it was worth it.

  • Coaster Nut

    Airtimes Lap Bar Rattle

A good ride, if a little rough. The buzz bar allows for some good airtimes, but some of those airtimes can slam you into the buzz bar if you're not prepared. It's in good shape for an old woodie.

  • Coaster Nut

First Drop Launch Smoothness Dead spots

This has such a great start. You have a unique fast launch straight up into an airtime tophat followed by a drop straight down and then... it's just kind of blah after that. After such a cool uphill launch and drop, the rest of the ride felt tame in comparison.

  • Coaster Nut

    Inversions Fun Duration Reliability

It's a good time, but it didn't give me as many big "wow" moments as other RMCs. Still, it's better than most coasters you'll ride. Worthy of its top 100 ranking on here. Very frustrating reliability. It was shut down when the park opened, and four hours later it finally opened but with only one train. I got only one ride because the wait time quickly ballooned to two hours.

  • Coaster Nut

Airtimes Fun Smoothness Reliability Lap Bar

Good family ride with some fun mild launches and nice airtimes. However, I also dreaded the airtimes because they resulted in the tight lap bar digging even harder into my thighs. I wanted to give it a second try, but the ride broke down just as I got back in line. It reopened a couple of hours later with a very long line, broke down again, reopened again, broke down again.

  • Coaster Nut

    First Drop Inversions Rattle Discomfort

Fun layout, but four brake runs really disrupt the flow. The main issue, though, is a persistent rattle. One ride was enough for me. The best part was getting to choose your music, so I went with KC & the Sunshine Band. "That's The Way (uh huh, uh huh) I Like It (uh huh, uh huh)."

  • Coaster Nut

    Fun Intensity Discomfort

I enjoy the flipping feeling. Most of the ride was pretty fun, but some flips near the end put uncomfortable stress on the groin area.

  • Coaster Nut

    First Drop Dead spots

Dive coasters are a fun diversion, but they always feel like one-trick ponies. I remember the drops, but nothing else from the ride makes much of an impact on me. I did enjoy Sheikra this time more than I did several years ago.

  • Coaster Nut

    First Drop Layout Rattle

A good, solid B&M hyper with a unique layout, particularly the helix. The train has developed a bit of a rattle, though. It's not horrible, but it's definitely noticeable and detracts a bit from the overall fun experience. It was smoother when I rode it five years ago.

  • Coaster Nut

Launch Layout Too short Discomfort Lap Bar

One and done. Terrible lap bar. This layout should deliver a fun ride, but I spent most of the time focused on thigh pain. I put "too short" as a con, but it's also a plus because I was happy the ride didn't last any longer. Surely they can come up with better trains and restraints for this.

  • Coaster Nut

    Airtimes Fun Ejectors Capacity

Very good RMC that races through its tight layout with great ejectors and fun inversions. There's not a single dead spot. Overall, it's in the bottom half of the 13 RMCs I've ridden, but it's still in the top 10% of all coasters I've ridden. RMCs are just that good! My only complaint is that the ride ops were really, really slow.

    Comfort Launch Ejectors Disappointing!

Finally got back to Dollywood, and I guess I’ll be forever in the minority on LR. Still find the layout to be good but not great. The only parts that do anything for me are the launch and the quad-down, which is really fun. But there’s now a pretty rough section of track after the wave turn, a roughness I’ve never felt on an RMC. The ejectors are the best part, but I prefer the better variety of elements on other RMCs. Still a top 30 coaster for me, though.

  • Coaster Nut

    First Drop Location Layout

My favorite wing coaster. It's very smooth. The thrills are mid-level, but I really enjoy the layout and the trip through the woods.

  • Coaster Nut

    Inversions Launch Intensity Dead spots

Night rides in front -- solid top 10 with intense speed, ejectors and airtimes. It really whips through all of the elements. That 2nd launch is soooo good at night! However, if I'd ridden this only in the day, I'd rank it a lot lower. Day rides didn't have nearly the same intensity, especially in the first half where it felt sluggish. At night, though, the train hauls throughout! And that mosasaurus roll at the end? It's easily the best coaster finale I've experienced but, again, only at night. Excellent ride ops, by the way. Rode this 12 times over two days, 7 day, 5 night.

  • Coaster Nut

    Theming Launch Intensity Headbanging

It starts off great with an uphill launch out of the tunnel. The first half layout is good with some surprising intense elements, but the second half is pretty lackluster. Moderate headbanging throughout most of the ride detracted from an otherwise fun time.

  • Coaster Nut

    Launch Fun Duration

I had so much fun on this. A couple of the launches are pretty forceful, and there are good Gs on some of the turns. Excellent theming, great variety, and just a good time!

  • Coaster Nut

Airtimes Lap Bar Smoothness Dead spots

B&M hypers usually don't thrill me a lot, but this ranks among the better ones. It's a nice, pleasant ride with some long floater airtimes and some decent intensity.

  • Coaster Nut

    Duration Theming Disappointing! Pointless

Granted, it's a family ride, but this is slow and boring. Let's see, there are spotlights shining on statues of cowboys/miners, and the most high-tech part was a cartoon image of a skeleton projected on the wall. As a young boy behind me said, "That's NOT scary!" It all felt very amateurish. I wasn't expecting Disney-level animatronics, but this ride could use some creative upgrades to make it really fun.

  • Coaster Nut

    First Drop Intensity Duration Capacity

The difference between a night ride and a day ride on this thing is like, well, night and day. At night, the train ripped through the layout. The intensity left me breathless with awesome laterals, airtime, drops and speed. A nice long ride, too. The next morning, it was a different coaster, slower and not nearly as fun. Also, they were running only one train in the morning, which made their slow load times even more tedious. I'm ranking this based on my night rides, which were outstanding.

  • Coaster Nut

First Drop Inversions Fun Dead spots

Great first drop, although I think it would be even better without the "hang time" before the drop. Layout is fun with some good inversions and some airtime, but there really isn't any hang time after the first drop. Don't be like me and leave your cell phone in your front pants pocket. The lap bar was not forgiving. The final picture from that crushed phone is posted here.
