A hidden gem, this convoluted, gargantuan pile of wood focuses on laterals and raw power! It's non-stop turning, hills, and twists keep throwing you every which way and that I love! This ride wore me out after the first ride but has a great reride factor to it!

I fully expected Twister to live in Phoenix's shadow, but this is one of the best wooden coasters I've ridden. It has an incredibly unique and bizarre layout, featuring what has to be the only "mid-lift" I've ever seen. The first drop was surprisingly strong in the back row, and the rest of the layout kept its speed beautifully well while having some powerful laterals and nice positive Gs. Definitely make sure to get a ride or two on this coaster; while it isn't the best in this park it is still great. 8/10 - why aren't there any air gates do they realize Americans come to this park

Twister is generally a good fun ride (as long as you ride near the front). But one problem I find with it is that (like Phoenix) it’s sort of a one-trick pony. It mainly focuses on the intense turns, but the rest is just kinda forceless. The ride is good itself. It’s nice and long, and the coaster is generally fun, but I feel as if it had the potential to be great. But I did notice that it had some floater. Overall, fun coaster, yet mildly disappointing.

While Phoenix is the superior wooden coaster, Twister still provides a great experience filled with laterals. The majority of the ride contains laterals, including the double helix surrounding the station. The views from the station are already great in its own right, and the lack of gates lets you take in the view better. Just like phoenix, there were only one train ops on the ride. However, just like phoenix, the operations were great. The lack of seatbelts (just like phoenix) greatly improves the loading times. It's interesting how there's half of a lift, some turns, then more of a lift. Weird, but fun feature that helps improve the build up to the drop. The drops are decent. Despite the focus on laterals, there are some pretty good airtime moments. The ride also lasts a long time with it's almost 4000 foot long course. My main critique is the rattle. It's prominent throughout the ride. With some track work, it can be a pretty great wooden coaster. Even with the roughness, it causes Knoebel's top 3 to be amazing.

Unfortunately only had time to ride it once this visit. I found it a bit underwhelming the first time I rode it, about 10 years ago, but back then I didn’t realize how cool the layout was. The layout earns the rating. I think what held it back most this visit was, including my crew, only 5 people were on the train and 3 were kids all in the front. I feel like a fuller train makes the a better ride. Maybe it’s also better in the back? Hopefully next time I ride it, it’s a bit zippier. The lack of airtime is its achilles heel.

In my opinion, this was is my favorite coaster at Knoebels, even above Phoenix. The pacing is great and the laterals are some of the best on any coaster. It is like if Phoenix was Fury 325 and Twister was i305. They provide a foil to each other. It is a matter of preference, but Twister completely blew me away.

Talk about a ride that shattered my expectations. From the weird split up lift to the super compact and intense layout, this is a unique and fantastic woodie. From the drop to the brake run you are constantly barraged with very strong ejector and sustained laterals as you fly around some really fast turnarounds and that huge main helix. An absolutely relentless coaster that was also very smooth and just an absolute blast.

Twister is a great underrated ride that most people who've ridden rave about, myself included. Night rides are just a different breed on this and its counterpart Phoenix. The airtime is on the front of this ride (so most people miss it) if you don't understand why the airtime gets so mixed reviews.

This ride blew me away. When I put intensity for a pro I'm talking about the laterals. The laterals are some of the strongest I've felt and they are even strong in random sections like in between the 2 lifts. The only ride I've ridden that does laterals better is Legend and Twister isn't even that far off, there is just so many great moments of them. The pacing on this ride is also very good especially in the 2nd half where it feels like its just gonna rip the track off it feels way too fast. The ride has a little airtime but really not much, the majority of woodies I've ridden have better airtime so I think that's an area of improvement. Also I feel like the ride could be a little longer. Overall I was expecting this ride to be nothing special but it turned out to be an absolute powerhouse.

Twister is a great contrast to the legendary Phoenix, also at Knoebels. In place of the literal standing airtime and graceful swooping motions of Phoenix is a barrage of constant lateral G’s and fast-paced transitions diving in, out of and around Twister’s colossal superstructure. The coaster picks up its pace just after lift hill number two — that first turn gives some surprisingly strong laterals, just before the train hits the first drop. The rose bowl double helix is an eyecatcher that doesn’t let up on its G-loaded curvature. The rest of the ride is a fast-paced victory lap through the structure, into the hillside using a tunnel, and completes one last turn before the brakes. The only downside is that Twister is pretty rough, especially toward the back.

I rode this bad boy on its 18th birthday! It's the only wooden coaster I've ridden to focus solely on lateral and positive forces, and succeed. The laterals on the turn between the two lift hills are huge! The furst two drops are among my favorite wooden coaster drops ever, and the rise after the first drop gives huge airtime. The double rose bowl helix is the highlight; Enormous positive forces on a wooden coaster, with laterals between the two dives? Yes please! The ride finishes with a tunnel and some airtime hills, and is just a blast to ride.
