Amazing theming and area, very good layout and the wingover drop is incredible. Intensity and near misses throughout the layout and the inversion over the station is cool from off the ride. In my opinion it's too short and it's a pity because of how good it is of a ride. Also the restraints and trains are very comfortable and the track is glossy smooth.

Un wing coaster qui m'a semblé étonnament intense, le parcours est plutôt bon dans ce qu'il fait même si tous les éléments s'enchaînent sans trop de surprise. Le gros point noir de la machine est sa durée, le parcours est traversé très (trop) rapidement et c'est bien dommage.

The Swarm is a great wing coaster with nice theming. It's smooth and comfortable with no jolts anywhere. The wing drop delivers great hang time, and the bank turn over water is very intense. There are several nice near-miss elements. The ride is far too short but it's a good coaster.

It exceeded expectations. This is quite better than Flug der Dämonen, and now I'm quite eager to get on Fēnix next summer and see which is Europe's best wing coaster. Swarm has a great dive drop to start with, as it is shaped in a way that it provides more hangtime than its German sibling. The inversions are all gracefull and hang-time-filled, and the valleys and helix had some surprising positive G's to them. I mean, they weren't the strongest, but they were quite sustained, and some rides at the end of the day really showed its potential. It's a bit short, but I find it just long enough. Rode four times, on the four corners: first and last row, left and right side. They were all different, but I think I liked them all the same. One thing, on the right side, if you stretch your arm sideways, there's a great near-miss with the water of the pond. Also, theming on the ride's area is pretty well done. Top 2 coaster at the park, tied with Nemesis, Saw and Stealth xD

This ride is very good but something about it just doesn't sit right with me and I can't quite put my finger on it. The first drop is excellent, the theming is very good and the ride is still smooth to this day. For me, however, the ride just doesn't impress me as much as other rides even in its own park can achieve, and I'd much rather re-ride coasters like Hyperia, Nemesis Inferno and Stealth more than this coaster. Still, its very fun and I always ride it when I go to the park.

Swarm has been good mostly every time I've been to Thorpe. I did have one issue with it breaking down for a long while as I was in the queue but me and my group got free fast passes out of it. The first drop is amazing especially at the front. It could do with being a bit longer but I thinks it's fine and a good coaster.

If you've ridden a B&M dive or wing coaster before then you know exactly what you're in for with The Swarm. The concept is fun and unique for a theme park, with the narrative of what I assume to be an alien invasion, though it doesn't bog itself down in the details. I arrived on a hot and fairly busy day and thus the queue experience was miserable. The music sets the mood but after an hour of hearing the same 6 minute clip repeat over and over you're driven slightly insane. The ride itself is a smooth and comfortable experience which will come as no surprise. The layout packs some varied inversions but for even unseasoned coaster riders it is relatively forceless. It is therefore an excellent coaster for said riders looking to test their mettle. I would only ride it again with a very short queue.

Pourquoi faire tourner un wing coaster à un train un samedi de (très) forte affluence ? C'est la question qu'on se posera tout au long de la journée et encore plus pendant les 90' d'attente pour y monter. Surtout que l'attraction semble être parmi les plus populaires du parc. Passé ce point épineux il faut dire que la zone nous immerge de façon très réussie dans un monde post-apocalyptique alien dès qu'on y rentre. Le coaster y est maître des lieux et le survole tout en tirant parti de chaque élément pour notamment créer plusieurs effets de collisions du plus bel effet. Le layout est malheureusement trop court et l'intensité ne sera pas vraiment son point fort mais son côté aérien et planant reste tout de même fort intéressant avec des inversions impressionnantes visuellement qui apportent son lot d'hangtime.

Swarm m'aura agréablement surpris, je pensais qu'après avoir fait Flug der dämonen et Fenix, Swarm passerais un peu inaperçu et au final j'ai beaucoup apprécié ce dernier. Tout d'abord la zone est vraiment agréable et j'aime bien la théma unique qu'ils ont imaginé, la gare est sympa, la soundtrack et les sons ambiants apportent de la crédibilité et ils ont disposé sur le layout des head chopper très bien pensés avec l'avion ou encore le panneau publicitaire. Pour ce qui est du ride, la wingover drop est vraiment efficace surtout au last droit, les inversions sont bien planantes, on a pas mal d'intensité surtout dans l'helix au dessus de l'eau et l'inclined loop, le coaster interagi bien avec le reste de la zone et j'ai eu des ride globalement plus fluide que sur les autres wing. Malheureusement là aussi on a un coaster qui est quand même assez court et je trouve que swarm manque d'un bon moment d'airtime comme on a avec les camelback de Flug et Fenix.

The Swarm. When it was built I was absolutely desperate for Thorpe Park to build an airtime coaster. Instead, we got yet another inverting coaster and I was disappointed. Many years have passed and Thorpe Park now does have an excellent airtime machine. So what can be said about The Swarm? The Swarm sits as quite an imposing looking coaster at the front of Thorpe Park. The whole area is themed well and feels like a distinct zone of the park. I wish they would do a bit more with this area, however, as it feels isolated from the rest of the park. Especially now that Hyperia has made the opposite corner of Thorpe Park the place-to-be. The apocalyptic theming is well done. I find the 'legalize aliens' signs amusing. But overall I strongly do not enjoy the Gritty British Apocolypse vibes. It is absolutely the last theme I would ever choose for something that I am trying to *enjoy*. I don't think I have ever queued more than 5 minutes for The Swarm tbh. A combination of good luck, good timing, visiting on quiet days and the location within the park means that (in my experience) it's quite easy to avoid queueing for it. I think if I did have to queue for a long time, the police sirens and soundtrack would be quite annoying after a while. I can never understand why in such a rainy country they didn't cover the station. Gotta feel bad for the ride ops on rainy days. The station itself is quite cool, especially with the inline roll that goes over it. The ride itself. Simply put - its ok, but a bit boring. It feels like it doesn't DO much. The first drop is quite fun but it doesn't really excite me as much as it should. After that you get a fun feeling of flying as it goes through its inversions and helixes. I typically grey-out a little bit on the outer seats around the helix. To be honest though - I don't really find this fun. Another review mentioned the feeling of 'is that it?' when the ride hits the brakes. This is spot on. Without fail, when it hits the brakes, I find myself a bit underwhelmed. The fact that the brakerun is significantly higher than the station, and then it just slowly goes round a downhill turn and sits in block brakes before hitting the station really doesn't help. Overall the ride is graceful and swoopy. A combination of its constricted layout and the gradual nature of the elements for the wing coaster make it a bit dull overall. Meanwhile, I find Nemesis Inferno to be a similar but much more all-out full-throttle experience. So The Swarm, while a fun experience and being a high-quality coaster - isn't necessarily the most thrilling coaster. If it wasn't themed to an apocalypse, it would do well being themed as the 'introductory' thrill coaster at Thorpe Park IMO. That said - would I actually use this coaster to introduce people to coasters - no...I'd probably go for one of the other, better, coasters at the park tbh.

Mon premier B&M a été une énorme claque pour moi ,la wing-over drop (First Drop) est incroyable, j'en rêve encore aujourd'hui , le zéro G roll est parfait il n'y a pas d'autre mot ,le reste du layout s'enchaine sans temps mort et toujours d'une fluidité parfaite le seul défaut que l'on peut faire a The Swarm c'est son débit même si ce n'est pas la faute du coaster mais plus du parc ou il se trouve. J'aurais été ultra curieux de tester le backward sur ce coaster.

Amazing wing coaster. The theming on the Swarm is some of the best at the park. I find the constraints very comfortable. The first drop is very fun and suspenseful. The lift hill is relatively short and doesn’t keep you waiting for long, there are also some great near misses. It is also probably the smoothest coaster at Thorpe Park other than possibly Hyperia.

Premier wing coaster B&M pour ma part, n’ayant que testé Furius Baco pour ce type de coaster. Il est fluide et très agréable, belle first drop. Je ne m’y attendais pas, mais j’ai eu pour mes deux pass...

Premier wing coaster B&M pour ma part, n’ayant que testé Furius Baco pour ce type de coaster. Il est fluide et très agréable, belle first drop. Je ne m’y attendais pas, mais j’ai eu pour mes deux passages un voile blanc prononcé dans l’helix. Les inversions sont quant à elles gâchées par ces harnais veste qui empêchent tout hangtime. Le parcours reste court et pas hyper intéressant.. La théma est superbe mais la file d’attente doit être insupportable en journée. Attendez la fin de journée pour le voir tomber à 5-10min d’attente !

Nouvelle expérience de wing, je m'installe avec ma soeur sur les sièges et arrêt technique. Aucune information de la part des opérateurs sur ce qu'il se passe, on m'ouvre le portail sur le pied...bref...

Nouvelle expérience de wing, je m'installe avec ma soeur sur les sièges et arrêt technique. Aucune information de la part des opérateurs sur ce qu'il se passe, on m'ouvre le portail sur le pied...bref niveau fiabilité et appréciation des opérations de Thorpe Park ce n'est pas très joyeux... En revanche concernant le ride fait 30min avant la fermeture du parc après 2h30 d'arrêt (chose qui est a saluer, ils auraient pu le laisser fermer en préventif de la fermeture) et bien c'est très réussi ! Les sensations sont très différentes d'un côté comme de l'autre et l'utilisation du décor, les passages dans chaque carcasse fonctionne avec la théma voulue. Le long virage autour de l'hélicoptère est même assez intense pour flouter légèrement la vision !

I absolutely loved the Swarm!! Big fan of B&M in general but I really love their wing coasters, so it wasn't a surprise that I loved this. I got 2 rides in and both were on the left side back row outside seat :D .. That first drop is so good and all the near misses really feel like you're going to hit into something. The inversions are all super fun and smooth and it's even quite forceful on the back in the helix. Love the theming too. Overall a super coaster, really enjoyed it.
