Wow. Twisted Colossus is great. It's great. My first ride on it this past Christmas was one of the best i've ever experienced. I finally got that coveted dueling ride and it made this ride skyrocket up my rankings. The headchopper moments, the airtime, the interactions with the other train. All of it is just one of the craziest experiences you can get on a coaster. It might not be the tallest or fastest ride but is still amazing. This ride currently (as of 2/1/25) is at my #2 spot in my rankings. It was also my first RMC and was a truly incredible experience. Go ride it at Six Flags Magic Mountain. you won't regret it.

A great RMC where absolutely every element hits. One of RMC's simplest, yet best layouts. The blue camelback, top gun stall, and high five are three of my favorite elements of all time. Make it duel more and speed up the lift hill and this is close to perfect.

This is a really fun and aggressive ride from beginning to end, and if it were dueling it would be an easy 5/5, but it didnt for me. That really sucks because it feels like a very easily fixable issue...

This is a really fun and aggressive ride from beginning to end, and if it were dueling it would be an easy 5/5, but it didnt for me. That really sucks because it feels like a very easily fixable issue that would make the ride 10x better (just look to West Coast Racers in the same park), but for some reason they didnt do it. I guess the cool colors of the wood and tracks bump it up a bit, but it loses that when you realize that it is a parking lot coaster. Still a fun ride, and that stall on green was probably the best stall I’ve been on.

Que dire de plus, on sait et l’on connaît déjà là réputation de RMC qui n’est plus à faire ! Twisted ne déroge pas à la règle, on se retrouve avec un coaster fabuleux qui a tout pour plaire. Le layout est très plaisant et on retrouve l’intensité et la fougue d’un RMC. MAIS… parlons des débits des parcs US complètement mauvais. Un dispatch absolument catastrophique ! Les temps d’attentes sont longs alors que le parc est vide. En bref, un excellent coaster mais malheureusement très mal géré ! Et la théma, on repassera, poser à côté du parking point barre.

Amazing ride that really lives up to the hype. It seems like the ride goes on forever because you essentially run through the course 2 times. Dueling seems like it would be fun but the times we rode this during a few day visit to the park jt never dueled. Would need a great crew getting people buckled fast and it would be great if riders could hustle to their seats so it has a chance at dueling. Btw I really love the intro to the ride as it gets released before the lift hill. Let's you know something special is about to come and it's warming up the wheels

Twisted Colossus is a great ride. However, people overrate this thing a LOT. The ride has great airtime everywhere and every element pops but some elements like the green side high-five can be awkward and frankly uncomfortable. The ride also doesn't duel as much as designed to, proving to make a relatively less interesting ride experience than if it did duel more. This ride is definitely overrated, but it's still fun and one of the top coasters at Magic Mountain.

Quelque dead spot mais avec la course avec le deuxième train c est pas gênant du tout. Mention special au zero g stall avec l effet miroir quand on regarde le train passer en bas en meme temps , PHENOMENAL ! S il n y avait que un train je lui préférerai iron gwazi ou zadra mais dans ces conditions NON

I also don't care for the bend on the initial drop, but that's just me. Don't expect a dual it almost never happens. They could force the green side to wait for the blue to catch up and guarantee duels but they don't. They do this on West Coast Racers so why not here? Anyway it's RMC and a must ride and the first drop is intense. After riding Iron Gwazi I can't help but feel disappointed at the implementation on Colossus. Could have been more.

Mon premier RMC s'est avéré être un coaster d'excellente facture! On commence avec une first drop absolument dantesque et remplie d'éjectors mélangés aux latéraux causés par le twist à son entame, avant d'entamer une série d'airtimes très sympathique passant d'un speed hill chargé d'éjectors et d'une bosse relevée qui mène vers ce moment de "high five" qu'est le wave turn, avant de nous faite descendre par une 2nde drop sympa mais pas exceptionnelle non plus, s'ensuit un camelback bien puissant puis un zero g roll très fun et une série de quelques airtimes sympa mais un peu décevants. On arrive sur un second lift pour combler le Moebius loop, avec une drop tout aussi bien et un layout quasi similaire à part un double down bien senti et un Stall a la place du zero g roll, qui te fait flotter dans ton siège. Au final, la partie décevante dans tout ça, a part quelques airtimes dont j'attendais un peu plus, c'est l'effet dueling: il ne marche jamais où en tout cas je ne l'ai jamais ridé dans ces conditions, mais tout l'intérêt d'éléments comme le wave turn ou le top Gun Stall réside dans cet effet, et le rider sans donne un effet d'incomplétude. C'est aussi assez dommage que le 2ème tour ne sert qu'alors à chainride sans bouger du train, car à part 1 ou 2 éléments qui diffèrent, on fait juste le même ride une seconde fois, avec un pacing complètement tué par ce second lift (après on dit pas non à un 2ème tour), mais cela aurait plus de sens si le train duel, à noter aussi que le coaster est littéralement posé sur un parking et ça c'est non. Enfin, Twisted Colossus reste un coaster génial, qui même s'il n'a pas tout à fait atteint mes attentes, est un plaisir à rider

This is a great ride, great airtime. I love the colors. This is what I consider the prettiest coaster I have ridden (which isn’t saying that much, I bc I only have 32 credits), but I look at all the other coaster in cedar fair and six flags parks I haven’t been to, and I still think it’s the prettiest. Cons tho, the lift on the green side is so long, when not duelling. Like I get that you want that train to catch up, but if it’s not, just let it go.

Unfortunately didn’t get a duel, and without the duel it’s just a mid tier RMC. The layout is fine… but really nothing all that special compared to the top tier RMCs. It has some good ejector moments, and the inversions are fun, with some decent hang time on the stall, but nothing all too great. It’s a very mid tier, maybe bottom tier RMC. If only they dueled it consistently… that would for sure elevate this to a high mid tier RMC for me personally. It’s still a great ride (being an RMC), but those are really the only cons.

UPDATED REVIEW: I GOT A HALF DUEL!!! Props to the crew running this thing on 7/29/24! They were actively telling guests that we had a very limited time window to catch the other train on the lift hill. This built a ton of anticipation and it meant both trains got one duel per run which isn’t bad! And yes, I can confirm that this thing was meant to duel. It was NEXT LEVEL!! Between watching the other train fly along next to you and getting shot out of your seat is just incredible. Twisted Colossus is JAM-PACKED with solid ejector airtime. The first drop, the wave-turn high-five, and EVERY SINGLE HILL will ABSOLUTELY LAUNCH YOU out of your seat!!! If this is the airtime on what is supposedly a “lower-tier” RMC, I cannot imagine what it’s like on something like Iron Gwazi. Aside from the endless heavenly airtime, the inversions are very fun. I would describe the stall as pure inverted air, while the zero-g roll is exactly what the name implies. This thing is also SILKY SMOOTH. Smoothest coaster I’ve ever ridden. IF I HAVE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, I would say set your expectations right. If you go in expecting a duel, you may be very disappointed. I would go in and just try to appreciate the layout and airtime for what it is. Believe me, I did that the very first time I rode it and it did wonders. Overall, an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING work of art and a must-do at SFMM!!!

Honestly an underrated RMC, the inversions are great, and the layout is spectacular. Could the conversion been longer given the size of the original colossus? Yes, but was it needed? No, this ride is perfect the way it is, incredible roller coaster, truely another homerun by RMC.

Le pré-lift nous annonce d'entrée que nous n'avons pas affaire à un Coaster familial. Les 2 drops sont excellentes, en particulier au last, on se fait tirer avec violence, améliorée par le twist. Le reste du layout est airtimes/ejectors en veux tu en voilà, mais c'est ce qu'on aime. Je trouve également les inversions très réussies. La théma est littéralement absente mais on s'y attend. En revanche, le fait que l'aspect dueling soit rare (inspirez vous de West Coast Racers vous savez faire), et que le second lift soit tres long rend le tout un peu décevant car le layout devient presque répetitif, mais cela nous laisse le temps de souffler. Cela dit, cela reste du RMC, on ne va pas se plaindre d'un deuxième tour d'un élite coaster

Definitely my favorite ride in the park BY FAR. The dueling trains aspect adds a unique element that sets it apart (until west-coast racers opened) - it even makes the lift hill fun! And when the two trains don't perfectly sync up, its still a great ride all around: airtime, comfort, duration, etc. And while the initial drop doesn't have the highest elevation, its steepness is literally beyond vertical.

this ride is actually crazy. the pre-lift is fun and weird, but doesn’t compare to the rest of the ride. let’s talk about the drop. that first drop - especially on the green side, throws you out of your seat and the banking on the drop feels so cool. the drop really isn’t that tall, but it feels so strong. next, the ride hits a dueling speed hill. it’s okay, it’s not super powerful but it provides a good amount of airtime. after this, it hits a POWERFUL ejector hill before the high-five element. this element is so underrated, and you can always see everyone hats and phones flying out on this part. the ejector on this part is phenomenal and extremely sustained.

This is by far one of the best coasters I have ever been on. It is quite fast, but pretty smooth. It also has a really fun first drop, even though it is smaller than most others in the park. The airtime on this coaster is also incredible. This is a MUST for any visitor to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Twisted Colossus is an excellent RMC with great ejector airtime, a long duration because it is a Mobius loop layout, and other great elements, such as the original zero-g stall. However, there is one large dead spot, that being the lift hill on the green track. The RMC lap bars are also not my favorite, not because of the shin guards, but NO GRAB BAR! I love using the grab bars most restraints provide in order to hold up the restraint from coming down throughout the ride. I also measure the forces each ride offers with my Apple Watch's Ride Forces app. In this case, I had to hold on to the metal bars on each side of the restraint in order to get an analysis of the forces. It is also hard to get a duel, as on my first ride, I did not get one, but on my second ride, I did get one. I am actually considering myself lucky, as most people do not even get duels at all! Theming was a minimal steampunk theme as it was in the park's Screampunk district, which is typical of a Six Flags park. It is a close second in the park, after another one of Alan Schilke's creations, X2.

This dueling hybrid coaster just blew my expectations away. I was surprised by how good Twisted Colossus actually turned out to be. The 80 degree drops are crazy insane & I got jolted by the strong ejector forces on every single hill. The inversions were also really snappy. The G-forces (especially the negative's) are super powerful and the layout is actually really cool (in my opinion). Overall, Twisted Colossus is one of the best hybrid coasters ever built and it is one of my favorite coasters I've ever ridden.
