I really love Tatsu’s usage of the mountainside. Even though it’s only 170 ft tall, when you’re at the top of the lift it feels like you’re on a Giga due to the valley below. I also really enjoy the gracefulness of this ride, really feels like you’re riding a dragon high in the sky; that’s until the pretzel loop. That pretzel loop is just so batshit wild and intense, I really love the sustained force that you receive. I honestly think the pretzel loop is my favorite inversion of all time. So far I’ve only ridden this twice (once in the front), but I look forward to riding this more!

What is this? Its a shitload of intensity. I think this might be the best flying coaster in the world. It's location in a hillside make this ride even better, being able to squeeze in this insane pretzel loop which did make me gray out. Plus its just a fun ride to be on. Sure, it's not for everyone due to it's sheer size but MAN that is one hell of a B&M. Top 10 Material.

Tatsu was my first flying coaster experience. I rode the front and back. Riding the front is EVERYthing. Letting go with your arms out in front of you and just relaxing into the ride with no cars in front, you really feel like you're flying. It's something out of a dream. The layout is excellent, and so is the location. You are SO high up there because of the elevation changes. Most of this ride is a wonderful, floaty, flying experience... and then there's the pretzel loop. OMG, that might be the most intense inversion I've experienced so far (in my limited experience). I know it's technically not the highest g-force inversion I've done, but it sure feels like it. Something about the blood going to your head and feeling over 3g, I dunno. I either blacked out a little or just had a super hard grey out. It's wild.

The pretzel loop is incredibly intense, and I love how it is placed near the end of the layout because it improves the pacing of the ride. The main issue with this ride is the terrible operations; it was designed to run a dual station, but Six Flags doesn't use it, so expect 140-second-plus cycles and a very slow queue. The coaster is a ton of fun, though, and a standout in Magic Mountain's lineup.

Fait au premier rang ce fut ma deuxième meilleur expérience dans un coaster (après Zadra au first row), une intensité parfaitement maîtrisée et un confort au top.

The inline twists and Zero-G rolls are always fun, but the highlight cannot be anything other than that Pretzel Loop. That thing is intense! I don't think the ride has pacing issues, though. Even though none of the rest of the ride matches the Pretzel Loop, the standard B&M Flying coaster fair so high off the ground is always fun and enjoyable! Truly a world-class ride!

Tatsu is absolutely mind-blowing. I was stupidly scared when the seats tilted into flying position. That moment alone had me questioning all my life choices. The lift hill? Pure fear. I’m not great with heights, so being suspended face-down that high up was terrifying, not gonna lie. But once the ride kicked in, it was a whole different story. The sensation of flying is unreal, and every twist and turn felt so smooth and exhilarating. And the pretzel loop… incredible. Easily one of the most intense elements I’ve ever experienced. Tatsu is pure adrenaline from start to finish—absolutely worth the fear!

God I love flying coasters, and this is easily my favorite. The inversions are all highlights, with the graceful ones and the rip-your-face-off pretzel loop. Benefits a lot from its size. Only flaw I can think of is reliability/dispatches (but this is just in the flying coaster's nature) and a slight rattle at the valley of the pretzel loop.

I’m a bit harsher on this ride than most, and dont get me wrong it was still cool, just flawed. My main issue comes in how the ride handles intensity, because the ride feels like it is fighting with itself on whether it is a scenic flight, or inversion packed thrill ride. And then the pretzel loop comes out of nowhere and is 1000x more intense then the rest of the ride, causing me to gray out. It also doesnt help that the seats dont rotate back until you have entered the station so you are quite literally left hanging outside the station for who knows how long. I still had a lot of fun with it but it is fundamentally a flawed experience in my opinion.

This is still the only element I have ever greyed out on. That's just how stupidly intense this is. It also has a nice first drop and many wonderful and graceful elements (until you hit the pretzel loop) all the way to the final brake run. Great overall ride but don't ride if you have positive g-force. I Loved It!

Opération a gerber vraiment , tout est fait pour vous faire acheter des fast pass.

I agree with the review below. This is such an overrated ride not only at magic mountain but in general. Rode back left and got insane forces on the pretzel loop, but everything else was honestly trash. There’s a painful rattle back there, at least on the train I was on, and these flying coasters just aren’t my style I guess. It’s such an uncomfortable way to ride. I even heard many teenage girls in front of me commenting on how rough and painful it was. Maybe that specific train needs maintenance. Hope to get a better ride in the future, but for now it’s gonna be a solid 5/10

This is without a doubt the most overrated coaster at Magic Mountain. As much as people try to praise this coaster for what it has to offer, they really only care about the pretzel loop. The pretzel loop is obviously really good, but I’m not riding a coaster just for one element. The main pros listed are genuine pros, but I had to choose something, and this ride is praised for those pros but like, it’s a B&M, most of their coasters have the same pros. Theming is also one thing that people praise this ride for, but be honest, you don’t care about theming as much as you want to. The people that say this are usually people who have Iron Gwazi as their number one.

UPDATED REVIEW: WOW!!! Day or night, this thing PACKS A PUNCH!!! Out of the coasters I’ve done so far (I haven’t done X2 yet), this is the one and only ride that TRULY SCARES ME. The fear mainly stems from how insanely high off the ground this thing is. The lift hill is absolutely terrifying. For most of the ride, it does feel like you’re flying. You’re twisting and turning over the forest like a bird and it’s awesome! And then you make this left turn, and there it is; THAT PRETZEL LOOP. You PLUNGE to the ground and are met with PURE POSITIVE G-FORCE! What results is what I can only describe as a fighting grayout! It is INSANE as your vision comes in as you face the sky. It’s AWESOME and certainly a must-do at this park! Ta ta ta, ta ta ta, Ta TATSUUUUUU!!!!!

Ça reste donc mon Flying Coaster préféré… Je pense le préfèrer à la raie de Sea World car quand même beaucoup plus intense durant le Pretzel Loop. Et ses nouvelles couleurs de Coaster chinois lui vont à merveille avec un soleil éclatant malgré les sceptiques !

Tatsu est un flying coaster aux dimensions à l’américaine. C’est très fluide. L’incroyable layout évolue sur un endroit du parc assez bien conservé et épargné par le béton compulsif de SFMM. Le stratosphérique pretzel loop est par contre hyper intense et ne plaira pas forcément à tout le monde! Un tel pretzel sur un flying fallait oser car lorsqu’on le passe à sa base les G+ dos au sol nous envoie le sang à bloc dans la tête. Moi j’ai adoré mais incapable de le rider 4 fois d’affilé clairement. Coaster de classe internationale

Its as good as said, even better. Its so intense and fun. One of the best elements ever on a roller coaster. And this one is supersized. The other inversions are so flowy and floaty. And Tatsu is so smooth too, unlike many B&Ms. Just 5/5 for me.

Mon premier flying et je ne suis absolument pas déçu. Il combine de très bons éléments, la first drop qui vous entraîne très fortement au last row, une première partie aérienne avec de la vitesse et des inversions qui passent d'une légèreté impressionante, ainsi qu'un airtime imprévu à la fin. Combiné cela a mon premier pretzel loop qui ne m'a pas laissé indifférent. C'est d'une intensité inouïe, je pense l'élément le plus intense que j'ai pu rider. J'ai mis l'intensité en point positif et négatif car ce n'est pas pour tout le monde. Je ne suis pas quelqu'un qui supporte beaucoup les G positifs. Je l'ai donc enchaîné 2 fois sans queue, la première au front la deuxième au last. La première passe plutôt bien, on ressent vraiment l'intensité. Au last c'est une autre histoire... Si vous ne résistez pas trop à l'intensité, évitez les rangs arrière, vous n'allez pas finir la journée. Mais c'est quelque chose a expérimenter, foncez !

Flying coasters can be a hit/miss format for me personally. I wasn't a huge fan until hitting Manta earlier this year where the heightened intensity made it more enjoyable than my experience on SFOG Superman coaster. Tatsu furthered the appeal of the format - it was even more intense than Manta (at least the pretzel roll aspect was). And the setting and aesthetics of the coaster added further to the allure. It is a beautiful looking ride with beautiful views particularly when the sun is hitting it just right. Its still not my favorite format, but I found Tatsu to be a wicked coaster nonetheless.
