Sanftheit Thematisierung Zuverlässigkeit
I've been to Alton Towers a number of times over the past couple of years and Galactica always seems to be closed. It's a decent enough ride - I've never ridden it with the VR headset and it's relatively comfy but it barely packs a punch compared to Nemesis which is right next door. I can take it or leave it.

Kapazität Inversionen Intensität Unangenehm Intensität
A very intense but amazing ride! Nemesis doesn't give you a break and I've found over the past few years that the queues are becoming surprisingly smaller! The theming is a little out-of-date now but this still continues to be (IMP) Alton Towers' most intense ride.

Rückhaltebügel Dead spots
Ride was pretty boring, and had totally unnecessary OTSRs that made the ride experience even more unenjoyable than it already was.

Standort Irrelevant

A bit rough, but this CCI woodie delivers mad airtime. Definitely was not expecting to enjoy this one was much as I did, but that airtime was just too good.

Meisterwerk Ejectors Headbanging Zu kurz Layout
The ride kinda blows; but it's literally one of the most important coasters ever built, the first Arrow Corkscrew. This ride may be relocated, but it's still the same coaster that blew minds at Knott's in 1975 when it opened as the first modern inverting roller coaster. If you made the drive to this park, you might as well pay your respects and feel the history on the first Corkscrew. Also if you sit in the very back you get some nice ejector on the first drop.

Airtimes First Drop Thematisierung
A much smoother CCI than the other woodie in the park, which is almost certainly due to the RMC topper track that was added in 2010 (RMC's HQ is literally a 10 minute drive away from the park btw, just in case you want to grab a pic or something). The airtime hills are super gnar in the back, and the earthquake theme even comes through in the form of all the tunnels you dive into. Tons of fun, and definitely worth a few re-rides if you can manage it.

Nette Überraschung! Intensität Sanftheit Kapazität
Was honestly floored by this ride. This was my first Giant Inverted Boomerang, and I got off of it wondering how this model didn't take the world by storm with legions of clones like other older Vekoma models (cost probably). The ride is shockingly smooth for a Vekoma from this time period (not sure if other GIBs are this smooth), and everything from the first drop to getting winched back into the station is pure pulse-pounding fun. You'd think the part where you're winched up the other tower before being dropped backwards would be a deadspot like it is on the other Boomerang models, but it's so short on the GIB that you barely have enough time to catch your breath before you're navigating the course backwards. Incredible ride, and probably one of the best shuttle coasters I've ever been on. Also really great for re-rides/marathoning despite its intensity because of how smooth it is, but don't expect to be able to on a busy day with that shuttle coaster capacity.
