Airtimes First Drop Sanftheit Dead spots

It felt... kind of tame. Is it weird I liked Apollo's Chariot more than this one? It's smoother, but the scenery and layout isn't as appealing to me.

Inversionen Abschuss Intensität Zu kurz Rückhaltebügel

This ride is vicious. I'd have loved every second of it if the harness wasn't trying to amputate my thighs. The real thigh crush, ladies and gentlemen, is this ride. So painful on the double barrel roll and top hat, but I understand that it's just me, and although I can't completely forgive it, I'll only take away .5 of a star. If we had more rating options, I'd have given this a 4.3/5

    First Drop Inversionen

This is a B&M floorless ride I can get behind. A little rough, but nothing too bad. I really like the inversions on this coaster. A 4.25 for me, but it rounds up to 4.5.

    Kapazität Rütteln

This ride is kinda mid. I don't like stand-up coasters, especially when I've been walking all day and my legs feel like they're gonna fall off, but it had some okay elements I guess?

    Rütteln Headbanging Unangenehm

How is this one of the roughest rides I've ever ridden when it's only going at a max of 26mph? How do you even screw up this bad on a coaster? It's like a toddler designed it. One of the few rides I'd be happy to see gone.

  • Wesley O.

    Rütteln Kapazität

A typical wild mouse. Not even a good drop to make up for it like Apple Zapple. I hate the sensation of falling off, especially when I get slammed into the side of the coaster.

  • Wesley O.

    First Drop Layout

I really don't like wild mouses, and while this keeps up that way of thinking, it's better than some others mostly because the first drop exists. I like a good drop, and while it isn't great, it isn't too bad either. A better wild mouse, but still a wild mouse.

    Spaß Layout

I don't exactly classify this as a coaster in my opinion. I don't LOVE dark rides either. It's a neat idea, Universal, but try to make some more thrill rides.

    Abschuss Spaß

I love this ride. It isn't as terrifying or as amazing as Fury or I305, which is why I am giving it only 4.5, but the Aerosmith theme is awesome, and listening to their music both on and off the ride helped pass the time. One slight problem is it's a little shaky, but only barely, as this coaster delivers what it promises and more.

  • Wesley O.

    First Drop Kapazität

Fairly good coaster, but not quite elite. Going straight up is always fun, and the music is a nice touch. Very long line, as train capacity is terrible though.

    Airtimes First Drop

Does Intamin ever screw up? This ride is very powerful, it stays relatively low to the ground, and is a mini-version of I305. Now, It most certainly is not on the same level, but this is a very solid, relatively low to the ground coaster after the first drop, and the airtime hills are amazing.

    Airtimes First Drop Rütteln

I loved riding in the middle. The airtimes are supreme, especially that last one over the ditch, but riding on the outside was a bit of a headache. I went on its 25th birthday, and I can safely say it has aged well, but I can't say so for it's future. The ride will only get rougher, and Apollo's Chariot might need some new trains or tracks to reduce rattle pretty soon, but still, great drop, and one of the more punchy B&M Hyper-coasters I've ridden, surprisingly. The only reason it gets an extra .5 is the terrain, as it weaves in and out of beautiful sights to see on and off ride. Very majestic to watch.

    Inversionen Spaß Layout

This ride is highly under-rated at only #112 currently. It's buttery smooth, and the cobra roll is a cherry on top to an amazing ride. The tallest B&M invert, it is just three feet, or one meter shy of being a hyper, and it acts like one. A punchy ride that lives up to its reputation and then some. (PS, ride in the back for the best whip on the cobra roll. It is worth the potential wait)

    Inversionen Spaß Enttäuschend!

Given all the talk about the first drop, the view, and the intensity it brings, I was pretty excited to ride this one. News Flash- It's not that great. I don't get it. It was my first 100ft+ drop of the day, so it couldn't have been that my stomach was tempered. Honestly, I like ones such as the Great Bear and Alpengeist especially, because something about them makes them more powerful and intense than Afterburn felt. Obviously still a quality ride, but I expected more, given the hype.

  • Wesley O.

    First Drop Sanftheit

Let's start with the fact it's B&M. That kinda sends a message of: Gentle Giant. This one isn't so bad as the other ones I've ridden, as it has a longer, more diverse layout. The trims are frustrating, sure, but it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. The airtime was still okay, and the drop is good. The only reason I have this at 4.5 is because when you ride front row on the wing seats, it is so much more enjoyable, and the wind whipping in your face is awesome.

    Inversionen Rückhaltebügel Zuverlässigkeit

I really don't love the Flying Dutchman model. They always break down, and staff takes forever to get them back up and running again, like Nighthawk at Carowinds, and now this. It's frustrating to me, because the layout is never bad, but the big problem aside from reliability is also the harness. I hate it. I feel like I'm actually in danger, and when I don't feel like I'm in danger, I feel in pain. It's the staff's fault, but I thought I'd die it was pressing so bad. This is the REAL thigh-crush. which sucks, because if you're able to enjoy it, and it doesn't take seven minutes each time for them to finish operations, you'd realize how fun the layout is, especially that loop when you're facing downwards, which is unlike anything else I've ridden. If the park could find a way to make the harnesses better and to stop them from crushing waists and thighs, it would be a much better ride.

    Spaß Rütteln Headbanging

This is a very controversial ride for me, because I rode this a year ago and thought it was a nice, cute ride that was all good and smooth. This ride now, is way more uncomfortable, and every time my head just bounces from one end to the restraints to the other, and although I've been on coasters with more rattle, this disappointed me, because it is not how I remember it at all.

  • Wesley O.

    Thematisierung Abschuss Layout

This ride is very good, and I don't regret waiting for it, but it is way more of a family ride, which is why my immediate family actually wanted to go on this ride, even the ones ho I will not name who are scared of coasters. I think it helps having read the Harry Potter series, because if you are a normal, not book worm enthusiast who has no idea who is talking to you throughout the ride, it loses it's uniqueness a little bit. Still a very well thought through family ride, and I don't even have to mention the impeccable, insane theming.

    Thematisierung Nette Überraschung! Kapazität

I only rode this once, because the lines were so much longer than any other ride, and I'd rather ride I305 5 times that this twice. My one experience was iffy, because although it was a great coaster, operations stopped it mid ride and because I was in the back left and that was the way we were leaning, I felt like I was about to fall off. I wasn't sure whether it was planned at the time, but some friends who went on earlier, while I waited longer for the back row, told me their ride didn't stop, so I believe the operators didn't like what a rider was doing and instructed hands to stay down or something. It was a weird experience for sure, and definitely one of the strangest rides I've ever had on a coaster.

  • Wesley O.

    Rütteln Headbanging Reißt es ab!

There are no positives to this ride. It gets more painful every time. I don't understand why anyone wants to ride this anymore. Only ride it for the credit. I desperately hope Six Flags shows SF America some love and RMC's Roar, because I want my home park to do well, and there aren't any good options there right now other than Superman.

    Nette Überraschung! Hangtime

Copperhead Strike is a very solid and surprisingly good coaster. It was just what Carowinds needed. I love the intamin restraints used for both Copperhead and Pantheon, because they don't suppress the experience, but they make you feel secure enough. The Jojo roll at the beginning Is what makes this a five star coaster in my opinion. I personally think it is one of the best elements on a coaster I have ever ridden. Focusing on hangtime was a neat and interesting idea, and I appreciate the creativeness as well. Another 9.6/10 coaster in my opinion. Intamin strikes again.

  • Wesley O.

    First Drop Kapazität Intensität

This ride is a little shaky, but nothing bad enough to affect the experience. The low to the ground intensity after the first drop is what transforms it from good to great, and operations are relatively fast. I rode closer to the front both times, but I haven't been able to snag a wing seat unfortunately. A solid 9.5/10

    Abschuss Layout Ejectors Thematisierung

This ride is amazing, and I can't say the theming hurts it's grade a lot. The extra bunny hill adds a lot more pop and power to the coaster, and it excites me to ride it. The restraints are good for these types of rides, but no matter how good the ride is, the lack of theming makes it feel bland, as they could have done so much better with the whole Greek god thing going for it. Why not have it zig over a statue of Zeus, or just something to look at while off-ride? It's a 9.6 in my opinion, which rounds up to 10, so I guess it doesn't affect my final and complete rating of it.

  • Wesley O.

    First Drop Inversionen Ejectors Kapazität

Capacity isn't really a problem, but the operations are. I only rode this ride twice, mostly because I was spam-riding I305, but I spent twice as much time waiting for the ride to start than I was actually on the ride. We were waiting for the train to start moving for a full 5 minutes one time, and 3 minutes for another. This is not the coaster's fault, however, and it deserves a 10/10.

  • Wesley O.

    Abschuss Intensität Layout

This ride is buttery smooth, and has the Intamin stamp on it. Intamin is the only coaster company that can make a 150 foot coaster feel like it's more powerful than a giga. The theming is something I wanted to add, but as it only allows three pros, I'm left to write it out. Even in the cue I was impressed, as a huge Jurassic Park Fan. The Mosasaurus roll at the end is my ultimate highlight, because at the time, this was the most intense ride I had ridden, and it currently stands just below I305, but above Fury. Intamin can do what B&M can't, and that is make smaller rides better. I foresee a lot more of Intiman and RMC highlights in the future.

  • Wesley O.

    Inversionen Sanftheit Hangtime Layout

This ride is great, and I won't insult its importance to the park to have a second world class coaster after Skyrush, but the layout feels a bit random, and although it hurts me to insult the park I've been to the most, Hershey could have done a little better. It is a great ride, but it isn't on pace with anything like Velocicoaster, Fury, Steel Vengeance, or even Twisted Timbers. Great ride, but lacks a little bit of intensity.

  • Wesley O.

    First Drop Intensität Layout

I305 is by far the most intense ride I've been on. It isn't the tallest, but after the first drop coming up on that first airtime hill strikes different, and every time I nearly black out. Definitely ride towards the back. I was a little disappointed when I rode towards the front, because it didn't have as much intensity, but still an amazing ride, and I don't understand why Fury keeps winning steel coaster of the year.

  • Wesley O.

    First Drop Tempo Ejectors

There really isn't anything wrong with this ride. It's a great ride, with a masterful layout, but it doesn't strike you as hard as others. Don't ride in the middle. The back is the best, especially on the far ends. Just lacks I305's powerful intensity for it to possibly be my top coaster.
