Dive coasters are far from my favourite coasters, but Valkyria just shows how good they can actually be. The drop is obviously awesome, the dive machine showpiece rarely disappoints. This time you get the benefit of the most stunning views of Liseberg and Gothenburg beyond it which very much helps. The tunnel is an excellent near miss as well, it feels pretty tight as you go into it. After the classic immelmann you then get a really fun and quite diverse layout, with some intense turns and a whippy zero g roll complimented by a floaty turn to the left and the hang time filled heartline roll. Its still fairly short but it feels complete nonetheless. It rides incredibly too, super smooth with not a hint of rattle or vibration. Theming in the station is superb, as is the soundtrack. And just generally the ride looks amazing, such a nice colour pallette used and it fits really well into its area of the park. Really fun ride and an excellent part of Lisebergs lineup

Rather like it's horror movie neighbour, Colossus is an annoying ride. I actually quite like the layout, and it doesn't run particularly rough other than a few spots, particularly considering it's well into it's 3rd decade of operation. But those trains man, they're hideous. The restraints are bad, very bulky and hard, so when your head hits them, it hurts. The actual seats are worse, they're an awful shape and the little lump between your legs ensures that, for the gentlemen at least, your ability to have children is severely reduced. But worst of all is the legroom, you either sit in the front of a car where the shape of the floor bends your feet upwards, or in the back where you have to straddle the seat in front, pushing the edge of your legs over the edge of the seat. Apart from Zamperla's Volare trains, I think they are the worst ride vehicles ever made. Such a waste of a decent layout as it is actually rather fun, the rolls at the end are very extra but it's certainly still a crowd pleaser for that.

Zadra was my first RMC, and I can honestly say I have no burning desire to ride another one. The trains and restraints on this ride are appalling for a coaster so aggressive, the lap bar is bad and very blocky, but the shin guards are completely unnecessary and completely destroy any enjoyment a layout this good should give you. I will say that i'm convinced this is a tall person issue, and i'm not small-built either so I doubt that helped, but when Intamin and Mack can make trains that ooze comfort on rides that are just as potent, there's really no excuse I can find to justify how poor these trains are. And Zadra is a speed-focussed ride, not an airtime-focussed ride, so I dread to think how uncomfortable I will find many of the other RMC coasters. It's the reason that I think Zadra is the most disappointing ride i've ever ridden. I will say again that this is not the experience most people will have, and certainly the layout of the ride leaves nothing to be desired, the pacing is simply relentless, the airtime moments it does have are strong, there's really no aspect of the layout that doesn't deliver. On layout and ride experience alone, this would be up with the very very best in Europe. Which just makes the fact it's ruined by just 1 thing even worse. I'll still rank it fairly high up, dropping it too far would do the layout and pacing a disservice, but my overriding feeling about Zadra is disappointment, and that is a terrible shame

This is one of those woodies that's so shaky its hilarious. This thing rattles round the track throwing itself side to side the whole way. Under that brutality though is a decent layout with some neat airtime. It'd benefit hugely from a full retrack, preferably by GCI, and some new trains, I think it could actually be a properly good coaster with that. Lap bars currently have a tendency to staple in a big way as you go round which is a bit annoying. Trains are quite comfortable though, lots of padding which is very much a good thing on a ride like this. Be interesting to see what they do with it going forward

An excellent Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster, i love these rides and Tiki Waka is a great example of one. Good fun layout with some great interactions with Mecalodon next to it. Quite long for a mouse style ride too. Trains are comfortable, loads of room. Unfortunately it doesn't have a separate offload, not sure why as that would help with capacity, as it stands the only real issue with it. The ops are solid though so that helps a lot. Great family coaster

Best 1m coaster in the world? Quite possibly. Mecalodon is everything a good family ride should be and more. Its got the absolute perfect balance between a thrilling ride experience with great airtime and snappy turns, but it's not too much that kids wouldn't want to ride it. The launches are all very fun, and there's numerous really good airtime moments, though my 2 favourites are the top hat after the 3rd launch, and the hill just after that before the turn over the lake. These new style trains Gerstlauer have come up with are amazing too, so comfortable with a great lap bar, probably the best family coaster trains I've ever come across to be honest. Not to mention they look amazing, as does the whole ride and area, they've done a superb job with the theming. This is easily one of the best family coasters in the world, and don't sleep on it either cos it gives a fantastic ride experience. Hopefully many more parks can get a ride like this as so many would benefit from it!

Kondaa exists for 1 simple reason, which is to provide awesome airtime all the way through. It's not the tallest, fastest, longest or most intense, but all those hills deliver a great mix of floater, but mostly ejector airtime. It's pretty well themed too, station and plaza look awesome and the music in the station is good. First drop is awesome, one of the best going. In the back it's full on standing ejector all the way down. The next big hill and the outerbank are great too, very sustained air on those. The non inverting cobra roll is a very weird element, wasn't bad enough to call it a dead spot but it didn't really do much. Fear not though cos from here on its airtime hill after airtime hill, and that's fine by me. I enjoyed my back row rides the best I think, both for the drop and some of the other hills. Runs very smooth and the trains are great, feel like they work perfectly on a ride like this as it's more elongated moments, it's a much more comfortable experience than Toutatis for example. It's a fantastic ride and in terms of pure fun, it's one of Europe's best.

In reality, whilst the drop is good, you get a light sprinkle only and the rest of the ride is both pretty uninspiring and very short. The coaster section runs well though and it's a comfortable boat too

Very smooth ride as well, and it runs 2 trains which means it gets through a queue better than most rides of it's size. Really a perfect smaller family coaster

It's a very long ride and it really is stunning, it's beautiful to watch and the surroundings are beautiful on ride too, I think the Greek area of EP is the best themed in the park and Poseidon fits that perfectly. The coaster part is fun but definitely pretty rough, the first section could benefit a lot from some retracking. Perhaps something they can look at soon. Second drop is good though and pretty intense. In terms of wet level, it's more than a light sprinkle but not a soaker. At least the splashdowns aren't, there's an effect at the start that definitely is.

Tis a weird ride this. The layout is just odd and the fact it's a spinning coaster that doesn't spin during the actual coaster part is bizarre. Views from the top are nice though, you get to see Voltron super well up there. We got the first drop backwards and the rest of the layout forwards, which I was glad for as it's certainly not a smooth experience. I reckon doing the long second half backwards would be pretty brutal. The actual ride experience is fun but certainly nothing special. To add to the oddness, the best bit of the ride by far is the spiral lift with the awesome soundtrack. It's very unique but I can see why EP are looking to close it.

This is the kind of ride that is so so hard to rank. It's a suspended powered coaster, hardly the peak of thrill. Low height restriction, family theme. But this thing is absolutely amazing. This ride system might well be the best ride system ever developed in terms of how it can be used to combine a coaster and an immersive dark ride. The theming is just awesome, and even if you aren't familiar with the film, you can appreciate how wonderful this attraction is. It's very comfortable and super smooth as well, and the moving loading platform means that it's a powerhouse at shifting a queue. Just to top it off, it includes a (uncensored) bit of Still D.R.E. which should be mandatory on all family rides, the German attitude towards bad language is fantastic

There's really nothing that would improve this ride for what it is, it's super smooth, very comfortable, and has a really exciting layout that feels very fast in the dark. The spiral lift is really interesting and a great way to start off, the first drop feels really quite big and is great fun, and the rest of the layout just keeps going and going, and it keeps its speed so well. There's some fun theming in there as well, and the station and queue look great. For an indoor family coaster, I really can't fault it at all, great ride!

Silver Star is clearly a recipe for a good ride, but I do feel it's a bit undercooked. There's plenty of airtime, fun, floaty airtime, but the ride just left me wanting a bit more. I think maybe it's the first drop that does it, it's just not very good, even in the back. The subsequent big camelbacks give the floaty stuff, but it's after the midcourse when it comes alive really, those hills are very good. I'm not convinced by the clamshells though, they have a tendency to staple a lot, more so than other ride restraints, due to the size of the pad covering your legs. There's also definitely a strong rattle, though it's an older ride now and it isn't painful or anything, just annoying. It's a good coaster, and the height itself is very thrilling, but it doesn't quite deliver for me.

Without this ride, we may never have had the likes of Helix, Voltron, Ride to Happiness etc. And even though those rides are all significantly better, as you might expect, Blue Fire still holds up as a really fun ride. It doesn't do anything particularly outstanding but the layout is enjoyable with some good moments of snap, 4 fun inversions including that awesome final heartline roll, and a few bits of airtime, particularly at the back of the train. Even the launch is pretty good, certainly more snappy than many of the launches that came after it. Trains are brilliant as always from Mack, so comfortable, and even though it's getting on a bit now, it's still super smooth. Overall a very enjoyable ride

Voltron is really a showpiece of everything Mack can do on a coaster. There's element after element and pretty much all of them offer something to the layout, quite an achievement on a coaster exceeding 4000ft. The launches are all excellent, really snappy, which is a pleasant change up from the usual Mack fare, which are fine but nowhere near as thrilling as Voltrons. The beyond vertical launch is very strange but good fun. All of the inversions are good without being necessarily outstanding, apart from the stall, which offers some extremely memorable hangtime. Every airtime hill is pretty crazy ejector, all of them are awesome but the Wave turn in the second half is by far the best, that really caught me off guard. The layout as a whole is also extremely intense, almost too intense for my preference really, but if you're a fan of intense rides then voltron is going to deliver, the helix at the end is bone crushing. You experience all this in the most comfortable trains in the business, Mack have nailed their lap bars and seats. Unfortunately the ride definitely has a rattle. It isn't too bad on most of the trains but a couple its much more pronounced. I think depending on your tolerance for that, you may be able to look past it entirely. For me, it took away from it just a bit but it didn't stop Voltron from being a truly epic coaster. It's definitely one of the best rides in Europe and whilst it's not a ride I can hammer out laps on because of the intensity, it's certainly a coaster I would travel back to Europa Park for, even without Wodan and the fact that it's the best park going. Top, top coaster

Shame as the layout is quite unique but it's just too rough to be enjoyable
