    Fun Demasiado corto

The first ride I ever marathoned... I have to leave a review. Absolutely perfect for a 10 year old in Michigan who would later write reviews for roller coasters someday. Also, it's a roller coaster.

A Dinn that's still standing in my home park! I swear I remember 1 guy operating this ride one time. For the most part it's a pile of junk but once in a while I can get a smooth fun ride on this thing. It's too short for a worthwhile RMC even if Cedar Fair would ever invest in this park again. Spend your money keeping Shivering Timbers tolerable first, guys.

    Fun Duración Tiempo muerto

A trip when I was between 48 and 52 inches tall I rode this thing like 4-5 times in a row... great fun, but only an in-between roller coaster for thrill seekers. It's a historical family coaster with 1 unique element: the helix in the pond by the concourse in the very middle of the park, which does have some nice forces for an ending.

I can't believe I'm thinking this even upon reflection, but... I'd rather ride its neighbor Iron Dragon. It's so loud (they didn't fill the supports with sand like they usually do on B&M's) and the inversions are just dull. It doesn't do what a B&M is supposed to do. Rougarou is better since they got rid of the stand-up trains, an old paint job, and the Mantis name but you can tell they were hoping for a better result after the changes

    Situación Fun Hangtime

A quick little thrill before moving on from GateKeeper. But, back in the day, this thing continuously surprised me with it's launch and hangtime. If the line is 15 minutes it's totally worth it.

    Airtimes Situación Vibración

Now that I know how to ride it, I love this thing. If I get stapled, it is quadriceps hell. The ejector airtime is wild and it's crazy for being a 60 year old PTC. Because it's near the front, the line tends to be longer, which is a bummer, but I usually ride it once near the end of the day.

    Inversiones ¡Buena sorpresa! Fun

I had no expectation on this thing other than pain. It looked like a tame Arrow looper, but it was quite smooth and fun. especially the 2 loops. Much like the Batman clone, I wished we would've rode it again.

    Intensidad Layout

We got near this thing and it was a ghost town which was quite perplexing because it dwarfed the entire park at the time. The first half was fun I'm sure, but what I remember is the 2nd half. I blacked out more and for longer than I-305, the break run was so violent as it completely stopped us, and it crawled through the rest of the course when I just wanted it to be over. I'm glad I rode it this piece of history but I'm also glad that B&M has improved the Hyper model since.

    Inversiones Velocidad Intensidad

There's a reason these Batman clones are everywhere, they're great fun. The pacing is perfect and packed with inversions and tight turns. It was running pretty smooth when I went 7 years ago in the afternoon, it's probably got more of a rattle now. I wish my sister and I rode it a few more times since we found out later how packed the New Texas Giant line was at the other end of the park.

The line was so long for the first 5-10 years that it was tough to justify the ride time. Top Thrill is hardly a roller coaster and more like the world's best and most intense flat ride. It's also unreliable and I often wait until the afternoon when it's warmed up. For all of those reasons, I usually pass it on my way to Magnum or Valraven.

    Airtimes Fun Suavidad

Always a good midway ride between Magnum and Maverick, SteVe. Gemini is just plain fun. It looks like a woody but it's steel, making it super smooth for its age. There's some great airtime, a head chopper, and a dueling element when both trains are running (mixed bag but it was dueling this time). I'm copying and pasting to the blue side. There's very little difference between the two. Red usually wins by about a second.

    Inversiones Situación Intensidad

My first ever world class roller coaster at the age of 11 and the Raptor holds a special place in my heart. Absolutely blew me away then and is still intense now. Maybe the best B&M Invert ever. I'm sad every time the helix starts because I know the ride is almost done and I'll have to wait another 45 minutes to ride it again.

  • Nate Kunnen

    Situación Layout Hangtime

It's not the biggest and the restraints are a bit uncomfortable, but this roller coaster makes me happy. Gatekeeper is the first thing people see when they enter the best park in the world and it's absolutely beautiful. The flying sensation during the inversions is almost soothing, and the near miss through the keyholes is brilliant... it's a great way to start a trip to the Point.

    Velocidad Intensidad Demasiado corto

Now, it's been 5-6 years since I rode this and I really really want to ride it again. I'm all about intensity and I liked it, but I only clearly remember the first turn. I greyed out like most do. Compared to Millennium force and watching POV's again I-305 it's a little shorter and more intense. At the time, it was the best coaster in the park so we rode it 2 or 3 times before we got extremely tired which never happens! It's not Fury or Orion, but it's still world class.

  • Nate Kunnen

    Airtimes Primera caída Obra maestra

Magnum is an absolute treasure. I have this in front of Intimidator 305, Gate Keeper, Raptor, and it's neighbor Top Thrill Dragster. Some of it maybe it's history as a trailblazer for the industry (this coaster started the coaster wars) and my childhood, but still, this is a one of a kind world class roller coaster and it's a tragedy it's not a Top 100 coaster here. The first drop is strong, the intensity is visceral, and the ejector airtime is incredible... Now granted, you can't go into this ride expecting Fury 325 or even Millennium Force. It'll probably rough you up a little bit, and getting stapled can be especially brutal. You need to remember that this is a 40 year old Arrow, sit up in the seat a smidge, and be amazed.

    Launch Velocidad Intensidad Arnés

This could change, but I have not gotten a great ride in 3/4 tries. The restraints don't fit my thin 6'2" frame. I can't get comfortable, which is a shame because I like how intense it is, I like the theming, I like that it's fast, small, unique, and efficient. I think it was a smart move by Cedar Point after Top Thrill... I'm not even sure they need new restraints, they just don't work for me. Having said all of this, it still edges Magnum for 3rd place in the park which just tells you that Maverick is world class.

  • Nate Kunnen

Primera caída Fun Intensidad Demasiado corto Airtimes

This is the most intense and probably the best lift hill and 1st drop in the park. I love the open feeling of the trains. I have an extra soft spot for this coaster because it was by far the best at Cedar Point when I came of age. The blue, the music as you inch toward the station, and the sheer speed will always stick with me. It has never disappointed even as Top Thrill, Maverick, and SteVe draw the crowds. It's still a world class roller coaster even 20 years in despite it being short and lacking the airtime that people expect in 2020.

  • Nate Kunnen

    Ejectors Hangtime Duración

The POV's got me excited, but they can't do it justice. This is the only time I couldn't keep up with the elements and I got tossed around like a rag doll grinning like a school girl. About half way done I yelled "It's still going?" for the exact opposite reasons as I did for Main Streak. I'll never forget it. Now, this is probably the best roller coaster in the world... but I don't think it's by a longshot. If you're on the west coast, Twisted Colossus is 9/10 there. East Coast, El Toro is a different kind of intensity. In Asia, Hakugei is close. Fury 325 is difficult to compare, but it's ALMOST there too. All I'm trying to say is I would rather save a $1000 plane ticket and ride one of these 4 world class coasters 50 more times instead.
