Superman RoS overall is an underrated ride in my book. First drop is amazing, as well as its sense of speed and the ejector filled second half. Besides the shin guard things, the T-Bar is a comfortable restraint that allows for airtime. However, the ride was surprisingly rough, specifically the turn right after the first drop. There’s also a few spots of nothingness, most notably the straight track after the first helix. It would’ve costed more, but they should’ve added a few bunny hills or something to make it just a bit different from the Darien Lake Version.

Going in, I did not expect as much from Flight of Fear. I personally enjoy the lap-bars (even though a lot of people don’t), as they allow for some good hang time on the cobra roll, sidewinder, and the corkscrew. The launch also still holds up pretty well over 25 years later. After the main 3 inversions and the drop off the mid course however, the ride is basically just a bunch of intertwining filler track, which could have been SO much better. The main problem with FoF is that the kings dominion version specifically had been very unreliable. My visit (June 2022), the ride was only open for 2 hours that day until it broke down.

While I don’t think Hurler should necessarily be RMC’d, Hurler is primarily filler track and has also gotten rough (my last ride was October 2022). The first 3 small hills after the first turnaround provide some decent airtime, however the rest of the ride focuses on turns and laterals that just don’t hit right. Not awful but not good.

Before I rode, I’ve heard that Apollo is one of the worst B&M hypers. I strongly disagree. Riding on a hot day in the back in August may have affected my ride; but every airtime hill (except for one near the end) provided a pop of floater, ejector (notably the pre drop), or a mix of both; at least in the back. The main issue is that especially compared to other B&Ms is that Apollo is much more unreliable. It broke down 3 times on my visit while I was waiting in the station. Overall though a super underrated hyper.
