What the actual fuck is this thing?? It's like being in a car accident... on purpose. It's so violent and insane. Easily the wildest roller coaster I've experienced so far. I read stuff like this before I rode it, and I still wasn't prepared for what I went through. It's like willingly choosing to experience trauma and then, for some reason, after it's over, thinking "I wanna do that again."

Wow. This thing should 100% be illegal, but I'm so glad it's not at the same time. It is so intense, and it has fantastic transitions from crushing positives to floaty negatives. The only con is that the ride's leg slamming is really bad, oh and it also pulls 3 hour waits because of trash capacity. I can look past the cons though because this is one of the best rides I’ve ever been on. Come out and ride this stupid thing! :)

X2 n'a pas du tout été le coaster de classe mondiale auquel je m'attendais, même si la first drop est absolument géniale et que l'expérience générale de ride est extrêmement intense et propose des sensations uniques grâce à la rotation des sièges, son niveau de violence est pour moi beaucoup trop élevé et sérieusement comparable à celui d'un SLC sur les places extérieures, de plus la rotation des sièges n'est pas très fluide non plus et même désagréable par moment. Au niveau du layout et malgré un demi-tour en milieu de parcours assez inutile, X2 sait impressionner avec des figures juste insane et sensationnelles, si bien que tu te demande ce qui vient de t'arriver une fois les freins finaux atteints, et ce malgré cette fin de parcours douloureuse. Bref, j'adore et je déteste X2, et même malgré son expérience de ride extraordinaire et son intensité, X2 se voit retirer une bonne dizaine de places dans mon top en raison de son niveau de douleur

Very unique and good ride. Definitely has its problems though and can be uncomfortable. The ride is extremely rough in outside seats and makes it unenjoyable. Headbanging is also an issue. Besides this, it is an amazing experience that you can't get anywhere else and the rotating seats are used in a really cool way, especially with the first drop.

I loved X2. It was the only ride from my trip to Magic Mountain that genuinely made me freak out. It's very intense and a fun coaster, and I recommend the inner seat for a better experience. I haven't ridden the outside, but my mother and sister did, and said it was rough.

This is an absolutely insane thrill ride and a masterpiece of engineering. From the start, the backpack-like restraint feels minimalist and not at all secure enough (it is perfectly safe, but it does ...

This is an absolutely insane thrill ride and a masterpiece of engineering. From the start, the backpack-like restraint feels minimalist and not at all secure enough (it is perfectly safe, but it does a great job of making you think twice on the slow trip up the lift.) The “skydive” first drop and big Raven turn are an incredible opening sequence. Next comes a camelback where the seats do a backflip quite gracefully compared to the crazy opening sequence. The ride has a bit of a slow spot in the following turnaround, but the ending sequence is a crescendo of intensity… and a bit of violence. Be VERY careful on where you sit. Towards the back of the train (as in, the last row to leave the station - the train departs backwards on this ride), the outside seats especially, the end of the ride will try to bang your head against the headrest. The headrests are padded but it can only do so much. You’ll want to actively try to keep your head back to avoid repeated blows. In any row, the inside seat will be smoother than the outside seat. If you have a low tolerance for rough rides, you will NOT like the back rows. In general, I recommend rows toward the front (first rows to leave the station) as the last elements don’t try to beat you up as much, and you also get some cool airtime on the Raven turn. The ride has been on 1 train for at least a year as of June 2025, so expect long waits. Despite the ride’s occasional attempts to beat the ever living crap out of you, it’s such a unique ride and it’s a must-visit whenever I go to Magic Mountain. It’s the only one of its type in America and the guests I saw seem to be able to look past its flaws and appreciate it. Hopefully it doesn’t get purged for being “high maintenance.”

Mais tout d'abord X2 est très souvent en panne il n'a ouvert qu'à 14h a 1 train bien évidemment les autres n'existe plus donc attente de dingue + les flash pass qui te double donc tu stagne pendant des heures j'ai fait un tour en 1h45, j'ai eu la chance que l'opérateur était sympa est nous a laisser aller au last Row et là c'est un rodéo qui commence déjà l'assise tu n'est retenu que par une sorte gilet qui laisse une liberté de dingue puis Vien le début demi tour où l'on se rend compte que ce ne sera pas qu'un Simple balade puis lift assez long ensuite Vien la drop la plus flippante du monde qui te choppe et te tire vers le bas face au sol c'était ultra flippant puis une remonte tout aussi fol notre siège tourne a mort puis virage en temps ""Calme ""puis un élément de dingue ou tu est totalement désorienté. Puis vient un demi tour qui met quelque à-coup mais rien de grave après retournement et ces finit. This is a mind-bogglingly intense ride for sure! The drop and inversions on this ride are unlike any other style of coaster out there. I think the layout is a lot of fun, but the head-banging and leg-banging makes this difficult to ride comfortably. It's definitely worse on the outer seats. The pyro happened to work one time I rode this, and I think it enhances the ride. Sadly, the audio has never worked for me, and I don't think it ever will. The theming in the queue is a new level of cringe that I have not witnessed before at a park. Overall, I would like this ride even more if it was smoother.

"The best piece of trash you can ride today." - Coaster Studios You may think i've hit my head, but after riding this, it's my new #1, surpassing Steel Vengeance. Can I just take a moment to appreciate that Alan Schilke actually created this steel monster? I know Eejanaika is the upgraded version of X2, but it has lower compacity and its hella rough, making X2 an absolute classic. The harness is fine, it doesn't destroy any part of your body, but it does leave your legs and the mid section hanging out, making you feel very vulnerable. It does have that dead turnaround, but I take it as a way of catching your breath. I mean come on, it may be America's most intense coaster ever. Plus when you add the world's best first drop in the front row, it really is an absolute masterpiece. Somebody RECENTLY died on this???? HOLY S*** IM COOKED

Oh boy. X2 is absolutely insane—easily one of the most intense and fun coasters I’ve ever ridden. I was terrified on the lift hill, not knowing what to expect. But the moment we flipped face-first down, fear turned into pure excitement. The rotations, the drops, the pacing—it’s total chaos in the best way possible. I couldn’t stop laughing the entire ride because of how ridiculously good it is. X2 is unpredictable, intense, and an absolute must-ride. I’d do it again in a heartbeat! I was a bit disappointed that the flamethrowers and music weren’t working that day… but hey, that’s not why I wanted to ride it in the first place!

That first drop will forever be etched and live rent-free in my mind, it is completely out of this world to go down facing the ground, and last minute perform such a quick rotation. This thing feels unreal in the best way possible. Not to mention the fly-to-lies both of which are incredibly disorienting and remarkably fun! The ride definitely loses steam a bit on the turnaround, but it doesn't detract from the ride for me, and neither does the bounciness of the seats and rotation, it wasn't discomfortable in any way, inner or outer seat, as far as I remember.

Instantly became my #1 (of 81 at time of riding). First drop is unreal, unlike any i’ve experienced. Sat on the inside seat, row 2. Actually found this ride to be smooth, graceful, comfortable. Felt more like flying atop a soaring eagle than the out of control death machine that I’d read about. Only downside was capacity - running one train, short queue but still 40+ minute wait. Overall a masterpiece that I hope to get the chance to ride again someday.

This is hands down the best ride I have been on in my entire life. Even with the music, animation, and fire all down, and only one train being used, it was still incredible from beginning to end. It isnt perfect, especially with the crazy headbanging at the end basically making you lean forward and the obvious unreliability of the effects, but that is not enough to make it anything less than 5 stars because it is just so dang good. The first drop made me feel like I would die, the backflips were great, and it was just chaotic fun from start to end.

The way the seats rotate make the facedown first drop amazing. There is a dead stop on that very long turnaround. The finale can be a bit rough if you don't brace yourself. You also might find yourself some pain at this point.

Opération a gerber vraiment , tout est fait pour vous faire acheter des fast pass. X2 est super intense vous secoura dans tout les sens , vous crachera du feu de la fumée, de la musique . Mention spécial a la première drop qui pour le coup m a vraiment fait peur . Meilleure drop au monde.

X2 is a one-of-a-kind coaster, that's for sure. There is no drop in the world like it (besides Eejanaika). The biggest complaint I have is you can really feel the age of this thing. The station feels erie, dirty, and sad and the trains look skeletal. The rattle is noticeable and there are quite a few dead spots, especially the large sweeping turn halfway through. It's a good "break" I guess, but just feels a little too slow. I also didn't enjoy the amount of jank, especially that last turn around and inversion before hitting the brakes. All this being said, X2 is still a 9/10 coaster simply because it is a marvel of engineering and is so fun.

The face-down first drop remains the best drop of 550 coasters I've ridden. It's an incredible adrenaline rush. For some reason, it's scarier than Eejanaika's similar first drop. I only wish X2 had the smoothness of Eejanaika. My first ride on X2 (inside rear) was perfection -- smooth & intense & crazy. I thought, "Is this my new #1?" But my next 3 rides (various seats) had annoying headbangs and calf bangs. One time, my head hit the seat back so hard that I was seeing stars. Still, it's a top 30 coaster for me. It would be in my top 5 if it didn't smack my head and calves.

10 out of 10. I waited so long for today and was tormented one final time by what seemed to be another extended closure right as I was about to board. But alas, the fates were kind and after a short delay, I finally got to ride X2. In spite of outrageous expectations, X2 overdelivered. I loved every second. If there’s anything resembling a complaint, its that the ride could’ve been a bit longer. I'm still waiting to catch my breath...wow, just wow!
