Green Lantern was a polarizing standup coaster. It garnered a lot of hate due to its discomfort with the standup mechanic and headbanging which I agree were issues. The capacity, no lines, and long layout made up for this though. The banked turn into the drop was a great suspenseful element and the loop and inverted loop were unique and forceful. The layout had around 7-8 inversions and had a cool replica jet in the zone. This would be rated a lot higher for most of it was a floorless, but was still a fun ride.

I don't remember any discomfort with the ride system when I rode, but I do remember the great inversions and forces, as well as a very fun first drop! Getting to stand-up on an old-school B&M is truly something else, and as long as you find a way to get somewhat comfortable on these trains this ride is a hidden gem in such a stacked park! RIP Green Lantern :(

I just found out this ride is getting demolished soon and in all honesty, it does not surprise me at all because I never liked the ride anyway. But hey, at least I got the credit 😁

Autant la première drop et le premier looping sont sympa sans plus, le reste du layout tente de vous assommer à grands coup de harnais et de vous émasculer par la même occasion. En plus de ça le temps d'attente est ridiculement long par rapport aux nombre de personne dans la queue (un train de 28 personnes toutes les 5 minutes).

I consider myself to be the biggest defender of stand-ups. I think they have really good forces and fun inversions if you learn how to position the seat properly and ride defensively. Green Lantern really puts that to the test. This is perhaps the most actively engaged with defensive riding I've ever had to be on any roller coaster; in order to appreciate this layout you really need to be fighting back against every single transition. Even with all of that done, the layout itself is just pretty good, and much weaker than one like Georgia Scorcher. 7/10 - more coasters should just have random yellow-painted loops in their layout

En faisant ce coaster en position debout, je m'attendais à des sensations que je n'aurais pas eu sur d'autres types de coaster. Eh bien raté. Malgré que mon siège était bien réglé en hauteur, je n'ai rien ressenti à pars des baffes dues au harnais. Les inversions sont cependant assez intenses mais on voudrait que ça s'arrête tellement c'est inconfortable. Le coaster est posé sur du gravier avec un avion à l'entée histoire de dire qu'ils ont mis de la théma. La file d'attente type parc à bœufs. Le débit horrible avec un seul train (j'ai calculé, le train restait en moyenne 4min30 arrêté en gare, sans compter le temps passé sur le parcours. Résultat 1h d'attente alors que la file était minime (soit un débit de... *roulements de tambours* ~220p/h). Egalement, en étant collé le dos au siège (ce qui est logique dans un coaster me diriez vous), j'ai eu l'immense surprise d'avoir été recouverts de graisse, d'huile ou de poussière orange/brune, ce qui fait que mon t-shirt est irrécupérable (bien entendu aucun geste commercial du parc). Bref si vous voulez absolument avoir le crédit faites le, mais sinon passez votre chemin.

Green Lantern makes me question why stand-up coasters even exist. While the inversions are fun and intense, that sadly results in some horrible discomfort and pain thanks to the stand-up restraints. Tons of headbanging and, even worse, for guys like myself, hits below the belt. Sticking your head out reduces this a bit, but it shouldn’t be a problem to begin with. Coaster needs to be converted into a sit down, then maybe it’ll actually be worth a ride. Otherwise, unless you’re a sadist who enjoys getting hurt, avoid the ride.

I've ridden quite a few terrible rides but none have made me actually want to get off halfway through because of the pain. That changed when I rode this abomination. It has waaay too many positives to be a stand-up coaster. The intensity is just so uncomfortable and painful to your legs, it felt like my legs were going to explode from all the blood rushing into them. I never, ever want to get that terrible sensation again. Really the only coaster I never want to ride again, even if it were walk-on. Tear it down!

So, I went in knowing this is generally considered to be one of the not as great rides at the park, but I was cautiously optimistic because its B&M and the stand up concept seemed pretty cool to me. I mean what could be so bad about it? Well for starters, literally everything. When I first got on I was baffled by the restraint system cause I’ve never ridden a standup before. When I managed to get into it my toes were touching the floor, but most of my feet were off the ground. I asked the ride op if he could do anything to adjust the height, but he sorta just brushed it off. (Not saying it’s his fault, this was my first time on a stand up so idk how these things work). Still, even in discomfort already I was hoping it would deliver. What would follow is an actual soul sucking experience of a coaster. Usually pain on a coaster comes from head banging, and there was plenty of that, but this is the first time a restraint completely ruined a ride for me. My entire lower half was in excruciating pain through every inversion. When we got to the mid course break run I had a glorious sigh of relief, only to discover it wasn’t over yet. Now I don’t wanna give this thing too much flak cause I’m sure it’s different depending on the rider, but it’s the only coaster I’ve ridden where the pain massively outweighed any fun I was having to the point where you couldn’t pay me to do it again. It just sucked too much for me to ever consider reriding it.

Okay this is not the best ride, but it is criminally underrated I am literally 5 feet tall and I experienced no headbanging. Now there is a lot of leg pain but I only found it to hurt a lot on the slow turns in the second half and the turn into the mid- course. It ranks #8 in my Rankings at this park!

Green Lantern is one of my favourite superheroes, ever since he was voiced by Steven Blum in Injustice 2. So naturally, I got excited when I rode this coaster for the first time. I just remember it almost claimed ownership of my glasses. And then I rode it again on my next trip. This ride is TERRIBLE. When it was Chang at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom (RIP), it was pretty smooth, according to first-hand accounts. But when it got moved here, it developed the worst rattle I've ever seen that's not a Vekoma Boomerang. It's like a fucking metal concert on this thing. If MTV let them, they should rename it "Headbanger's Ball." Plus, the restraints. I always try to get a good ride, but since I get in the end seat, the op makes me fucking dangle from the bicycle seat, which is a violation of my lower half. I will say, the forces on this ride are quite good. And the less I say about Hal Jordan, the better. <3

Sure, it’s far from the best roller coaster in New Jersey because of its awkward location and the bulky over-the-shoulder restraints, but the intensity of the ride does make up for it. This was singlehandedly the worst coaster I've ever ridden in my entire life. I wanted to try a stand up coaster because hey, it looks cool, but I got off this ride a day ago and haven't stopped complaining once. The restraints are uncomfortable and difficult to get into. (The ride attendants didn't check my restraints, so I did it myself. Felt very safe.) The ride was fine until after the first drop. It was a jerky, violent and angry coaster that made me feel like my legs were broken. Through the entire ride I was wailing and screaming in agony, sometimes interrupted to scream specifically about my legs. The force exerted onto my legs was insane and I genuinely thought my muscles were disintegrating. This ride destroyed any possible chance I would ever be having kids in the future due to when I went to unload, the harness unlocked and it launched the seat straight up between my legs and trapped me dangling off the ground. If you want to go on this ride, do yourself a solid and don't. Go get in line for Nitro instead.

Flying through those massive inversions and turns while standing provides some ridiculous positive g's and those g's are sustained for the whole ride and it's a long one with 5 inversions and a really complete layout. It is also a super smooth coaster and throwing in some good floater moments this is definitely one of the better B&M's for me.

This ride holds a special place in my heart because it is the worst roller coaster that I’ve ever ridden. The pain from this ride was somehow equally distributed between my head, ears, ribs, and nether region. The restraints are tricky to get into, which ensures that the queue is longer than it should be. But what really takes the cake is the location. To say that this ride is over a parking lot is an insult to parking lots. They must have used a jackhammer to create some post-apocalyptic wasteland which ensures that the ground temp is at least a balmy 120. Just look slightly to your right to see that they spent all of their grass growing money on the Superman ride. I’m surprised that the state of New Jersey hasn’t outlawed this ride as cruel and unusual punishment. I wouldn’t wish this ride on my worst enemy, yet I’m glad I rode it. For when I’m at my lowest, I can look for perspective and think, at least I’m not riding Green Lantern.
