Hagrids is one of the best coasters not because of its strong forces or brutal airtime but because unlike most coasters it realises on telling a story. Sure some might prefer Velocicoaster and Hulk in the same park due to their intensity but sometimes a ride like Hagrids can be better not only does it have arguably the best theming on any coaster ever and it is packed with surprise elements I won’t spoil here. Overall a brilliant coaster!

Amazing! One of my favorites! The themeing is excellent and it makes you feel like you're really in the Harry Potter world. The story of the ride, especially the part in the forbidden forest is spectacular. The only problem is the insane wait times at this ride. The trains have only (I believe 6?) cars each, so that leads to long waits. Other than that, it's awesome! Definitely ride at night for an even more magical experience!

This is a very cute and fun coaster! The motorbike and sidecars are an amazing way to ride. I rode this 2 times to try the bike one time, and the sidecar the other time. Both are different, unique experiences, and I can't decide which one I like better. The motorbike was like nothing I had ever tried before because I'm used to sitting up straight, but on this one, you had to lean forward and grip the handles of the bike, so that was fun. I think that more roller coasters in the world should be shaped like a bike! The sidecar, on the other hand, felt as if I were following or being carried by the bike. The lap bar in this tiny vehicle was so secure and nice and snug, you felt like you could raise your arms up the whole time. I also think that more roller coasters should have an option to ride with a buddy and choose between something like a bike or a sidecar. It's much more fun when you can have someone right next to you in a different vehicle. If you're looking for a super intense roller coaster, this might not be the one, but it does have a surprise drop and some fun elements in it!

Went into this one already knowing the layout etc (Mostly cause i never thought I'd get the chance to ride it!) but still found it to be one of the most fun and engaging coasters I've ever been on. The theming on the cars is great and the layout is very exciting. I knew about the drop track and the rollback on the spire but they were still exhilarating. As someone who HATES free falls this was actually much smoother and more comfortable than I was expecting. Only bad part was the wait time. We went on a pretty quiet day but still waited 90+ minutes in the queue. it was worth it in the end though. I would say it was fairly intense but we managed to get a friend who was almost to scared to go on the Seven Dwarves Mine Train on and she loved it. One odd little criticism is the unicorn animatronic at the end of the ride was looking kinda... sad. It's rubber "skin" seemed to be sagging a bit and the slight motion in its oot made it even more obvious. Something jsut looked a little off with it.

After multiple rides, though, the magic fades a bit because that surprise factor is gone. But there’s no denying this is one of the best themed coasters out there. A couple of the launches are pretty forceful, and there are good Gs on some of the turns. Excellent theming, great variety, and just a good time! I also think the sidecar provides more fun than the motorcycle seat. Expect LONG lines.

This was a really solid ride. I had it a half a star lower on my first day riding this but the one in the rain on day two bumped it up. It's possible I was in the back row on day one with limited forces but I at least felt better forces in row two in the rain (completely random seating so you might need multiple rides). There's no denying the theming is incredible. The outdoor queue is a bit boring but once you get inside it's quite alluring to enjoy the whole theming experience. The theming during the layout is top-notch with an incredible display of Hagrid and his creature near the beginning. You also get a ridiculous amount of duration during the ride compared to 95%+ of the coasters I've ridden. My biggest gripe is intensity but it's also created to tailor to the entire family so I can't complain how limited the forces it is. I was shocked at how bad the forces were near the back of the train. I got off this thinking it's the most overrated coaster on this website. I got to day two and somehow got a 2nd-row ride and it was way better. I felt airtime albeit a bit limited compared to a lot of Intamin launch coasters I've been on. Since it doesn't have Express Queue I wouldn't recommend lapping this one compared to some other amazing coasters but if you get to the park early pop on in here and enjoy an immersive experience. 4.5/5 stars

I hate that this ride replaced Dueling Dragons, but I still cannot do anything but praise it. It's a fantastic family coaster with some very fun surprises, and the theming goes a very long way! I don't rate it as high as others because I prefer more thrilling rides to this, but that's just my personal taste, all the special elements here are incredibly fun!

I was surprised at how good the forces on this were. The launches were great (and I could even hear the awesome Intamin LSM growl over the theming sounds). At one point, it even gave me the stomach-dropping feeling that most bigger coasters can't manage. There's also a surprise element that I won't spoil here. This is almost perfect, but it misses the last half-star because it just isn't quite intense enough for my preferences. That's not a knock on it though; I'm not in the target demographic for it.

The fun launches, the surprise elements, and the immersive theming blew my initial expectations out of the water, but still, the coaster itself is tame, so I would not really consider it a world-class coaster. However, the real big issue is reliability. I recommend heading straight to this ride once the park opens in order to avoid both the long lines and the potential downtime.

Déjà y arriver c’est long. Universal annonçait systématiquement 90minutes mais en réalité c’était 55min et la file d’attente est ultra bien thématisée et on avance sans arrêt donc ça passe bien. Le ride est vraiment divertissant et fluide, on a le sourire du début à la fin, sauf à un moment que j’avais par chance oublié et la surprise a été totale…! Le dernier launch est assez hallucinant de puissance mais dommage on ne parcoure que quelques dizaines de mètres à cette vitesse avant les freins finaux. Il vaut chaque seconde de d’attente !

The ride is absolutely phenomenal. It’s definitely not a family coaster and actually has pretty good forces in especially in the switchbacks over the lake. The theming is also amazing and would be great without it. The drop track and reverse spike are very cool and unique elements as well. The trains have been changed and are a little more uncomfortable and restrictive. The launches are also absolutely amazing and punchy its just a little uncomfortable.

I rode arieforce one today, which is supposed to be one of the world’s best coasters. But I left unsatisfied and I couldn’t really understand why. But then I remembered this coaster and I understand now; this coaster means infinitely more to me than any thrilling coaster because this was an experience, not just a conglomerate of elements. Don’t get me wrong, I love conglomerates of elements, and I think most are masterpieces, but a coaster like Hagrid’s just gives you pure enjoyment. I just smiled watching the POV, and although I love elements and forcefulness, theming means so much more to me

This is an absolutely amazing attraction. The lines can get long, but it's usually worth it for this great ride. 7 launches is absolutely insane! One of the best family coasters out there by far! (SPOILERS AHEAD!) I went into this seeing no spoilers (which was hard) but I was not expecting the spike and backwards section! You wind through the forest backwards and then go into a cave WITH A DROP TRACK! This ride is top tier and a must ride at Islands of Adventure!

Magique. Je n’ai pas les mots pour décrire l’expérience vécue de nuit. Je ne vais pas spoiler mais c’est sûrement le meilleur Family Coaster du monde. La théma est juste "hors de ce monde". Je pense même avoir préféré l’expérience globale à celle de VelociCoaster. Spoiler : la Free Fall totalement inattendue est démente. Attention cependant il va falloir s’armer de patience si le parc est blindé, il faut d’abord réserver la file virtuelle puis il y’a encore bien 30 minutes à attendre derrière.

C'est pour l'instant le meilleur coaster familial que j'ai ridé. Tout d'abord, la file d'attente est très jolie (moins que d'autres du parc comme Forbidden journey pour moi cependant), et avance plutôt vite grâce à l'excellent débit dû aux trains qui partent toutes les 2 secondes. Il y a néanmoins toujours minimum 1 heure d'attente puisque c'est une attraction extrêmement prisée. Les trains sont très beaux mais tout le monde veut se mettre sur la moto puisque c'est plus fun et pour moi plus confortable, en effet le side-car a une assise un peu dérangeante. Si vous pouvez ne pas vous spoiler (pas comme moi), faites-le car l'effet de surprise sera intéressant. Le layout commence avec un launch qui a une très faible vitesse mais un petit taquet tout de même. Le 2ème launch arrive très rapidement et nous met à une vitesse bien plus correcte. La suite est composée de quelques petits s-turns très peu intenses avant d'entrer dans la cabane d'hagrid. On y trouve deux animatronics assez simples mais qui suffisent pour le temps court que l'on reste devant (même remarque pour les autres comme Touffu et la licorne). Viennent le troisième et quatrième launchs, entrecoupés de virages et s-turns déjà plus intenses et même un tout petit peu d'airtimes. On passe le switch track et on arrive sur la flèche, on monte assez haut au first, c'est assez fun. Petite partie arrière avec un launch plutôt faible et on entre dans la partie en intérieur. L'ambiance y est très bonne, un peu effrayante, et le drop track est cool. Vient le dernier launch qui nous propulse à la vitesse maximale, et après deux trois virages où la sensation de vitesse est très bonne, on revient en gare. A noter que je ne l'ai jamais vu tomber en panne lors des 2 jours où j'y étais et que de nuit, c'est excellent, on a bien plus l'impression d'être dans la forêt interdite. La musique et la voix d'hagrid apportent un peu de rythme. Bref bravo intamin et universal.

Well, even though I had to wait 3 hours for this ride, AND my friend and I put our phones in lockers outside the queue, this ride was somewhat worth it. I mean, when you go inside the castle, there's so many details that you can find, even when you haven't ever read the books. As soon as you dispatch, the launches are pretty good, and the on board audio really makes the experience better. My only ride was even better, because it was pouring rain when we dispatched, and me and my friend had the best time. 10/10 family coaster.
