I went on this ride expecting a slightly better Wildebeast but boy was I wrong. The first drop is so rattly that it makes it unenjoyable. It rattled so much in fact my knees were hitting the handlebars which caused my knees to hurt for the rest of my day. The seat was so uncomfortable that I was losing control of my sitting position. I was practically slumping in my seat for a little bit almost falling out even though staff checked my lap bar and didn't raise any eyebrows. Then in the last part of the ride it takes a bank into a tunnel. In the sharp bank, my head collided with my neighbours head and HE STARTED CRYING I felt so bad. I didn't even get time to ask him if he is OK as we went into the ear-piecing tunnel that made me struggle to hear for a few minutes. When getting off the ride the staff didn't give a shit about anything and just forced us out. If I could give negative stars I would. 0/10 Service 0/10 Experience 0/10 Everything Ride at your own risk, the nickname "Mighty Canadian Spinebuster" isn't a myth.

I'm being generous and giving it 2 stars, it was fun cause I was with a friend, but the ride itself was not very fun. But hey- the intense migraine, body & ear pain you get do distract you from the drops! untilll.. the super sharp sharp turn before the LOUD tunnel. Would I go on again? - Nope! :D

This reminds me a lot of the Beast, but without the charm that makes the Beast work. Lots of weird profiling and straight track, not overly forceful. Awesome helix at the end. Bumpy enough to detract from the ride, but not jackhammer rough either. Without the terrain and setting that Beast has, the flaws are much more noticeable. I don't think it's terrible like others say, but it's not very interesting either.

Let's look at this in a list format: 1. Minebuster is a fun and unique classic ride, but it can be challenging. All in all, worth it, though! 2. This is a very rough old woodie. It clanks, it rattles, it jerks, and it throws you around. Be ready. 3. Avoid the wheel seats. Keep the lap bar one notch higher than tight. Hold the grab bar going into the final helix. 4. The first half is loads of fun: fast, intense, and with good airtimes. The latter half could really use a retracking. 5. It's intense all the way through from a sensory standpoint, borderline overwhelming and definitely memorable.

My introduction to wooden coasters. I definitely think that this ride isn't as rough as other people say it is (probably because all of my rides have been in a non-wheel seat). The drop isn't that big, and the first bunny hill provides strong floater/mild ejector airtime. Just be warned - the turn entering the tunnel at the end is sharp, so I'd recommend holding on to the side of the train when going over the bunny hills leading to this lateral-filled element. Overall my favourite of the three wooden coasters at Wonderland, but I think it could benefit from a Gravity Group retrack.

Still though, I had a smile when getting off simply because of how flabbergasted I was of how rough it was. Worse than time warp

My main memory of this coaster will always be my view from the rear seat during the really rough second half, watching the people in front of me being tossed around like rag dolls, up and down, side to side. (I was holding on for dear life to the lap bar.) The helix at the end was torture. I thought maybe it would be better in a different seat, but there was no way I was getting back on for round 2.

Heard bad stories about this one so I really wanted to give this a go. I don't mind a bit of roughness on a woodie so I didn't think it would be that bad. The first half, while indeed shaky, was really fun imo, wasn't painful at all! Then the second half hit. The ride started bouncing up and down so bad my legs got slammed into the restraint multiple times, which was quite painful. Then the helix hit with some painful, shaky laterals. I don't think I've ever ridden a ride that turned from pretty fun to pretty terrible that quickly during the layout. More like Mighty Canadian Legcrusher.

I rode this in the very back row and got some random moments of ejector airtime which is cool. However, this ride was literally painful at times and my neck was hurting after riding. This ride also has a pretty loud squeaking sound that you can hear pretty much all day when you’re close by.

This ride is perfect for somebody who likes rides that will scare you, but won't make you black out. I went to wonderland for the first time in 4 years and i rode this as the sun was setting, it was really fun! The first drop provides the perfect amount of thrill, along with the speed and near misses of the water slides. If you are quite tall or large, about 300+ pds or 6'3"+, this ride may be a little cramped, but otherwise a perfect ride. The people saying they got a headache are either, lying, exaggerating, or extremely sensitive.

Another overlooked coaster at Canada's Wonderland is Mighty Canadian Minebuster. This ride is a replica of the Shooting Star which operated at Cincinnati's Coney Island. Going into this ride I had heard horror stories that this was one of the worst. I didn't find anything terrible about this ride. It's a fun out and back layout with floater airtime, it is not too rough, and it has a fun helix which is enclosed in a dark tunnel. On your next visit to the park, ride this. It's actually fun.

On a woodie with three seater PTC trains, I can guarantee a smooth ride by sitting in the middle of the cars. And lo and behold, I had a very fun ride on Minebuster. It's not a particularly exciting ride, but that's the joy of it. It's a scenic woodie ride across the park, and it reminded me of Legend a little diving in and out of the waterpark. Plus, the helix at the end was excellent! Great laterals all the way through, with a good tunnel as well.

I've heard in the past that this ride is just plain rough. That is wrong. This ride is just BORING. Legit, I've been on kiddie coasters that have been more exciting that this, for example Woodstock Express. The ride is not terrible but I sat in the second to front and second to last and oh my god it was just plain boring. Just get the credit and you're done.
