This is a proper good fun coaster, no other mouse is as wild as this beast! Those extra big drops are great at the start, and then the rest of the layout is completely unhinged and very fast, there's barely a hint of trim which means it is just wild. The airtime at the end with the speed it carries is great and whilst the laterals are a lot, I didn't find them uncomfortable at all, and the ride generally is really smooth. What other coaster would have a fun house queue line too, very quirky. Awesome ride, if only all wild mouse coasters were this good, and if only it was permanently in the UK and not just for Winter Wonderland!

Unfortunately this ride wasn't ready when I visited Fantasy Island in the spring, however Mellors used this particular spinner for Ice Mountain this year so I could get the credit much closer to home. I'll just review the actual hardware as obviously the experience is different when it's Ice Mountain. Ran really well, very smooth, and we got a great spin all the way round, we got lucky and our car was unlocked for the full layout. The updated car design is much the improvement too, much more comfortable. Good fun

Ice Mountain is a great example of how some basic theming and some lighting can really elevate a standard ride. Its so much fun pinballing around in the dark with lasers and lights around you. Mellors have put the new spinner from Fantasy Island in the building this year too and it was running super well, and we got a brilliant spin. A great fun ride and always a must ride at Hyde Park!

Unfortunately it would seem that the once awesome and smooth Olympia Looping is now a bit of a mess. Today, the train rattled and shook the entire way round the ride, with one particularly bad jolt between the 2nd and 3rd loops. Combine this unfortunate development with the terrible restraints and it leaves what should be an epic ride in the ditch. It is still of course crazy intense, those loops pull so many crushing positives, and the first drop is very fun too. And I should mention the capacity, which at Hyde Park with the 7 car trains is exceeding 3000 people an hour with some of the best operations going. Though they do love shoving those stupid restraints down very hard in the process. Unfortunately its quite the fall from grace for a still crazy but no longer awesome ride

Shockwave was an interesting ride because the novelty of the stand up riding position glossed very heavily over the dull and bland layout. Now, as the Wave, they have removed the best aspect of the ride and we're left with 30 year old straight track with 3 clunky inversions that do nothing as a sit down, with only the frankly excellent zero g roll redeeming anything at all. The new train is comfortable enough but it definitely has a rattle, that is probably the old track more than anything but adding rattle to boring doesn't make for a good ride. Ops are typically terrible as well, Drayton have no interest in you having a good day. If they were that intent on removing the stand up, they should've just taken the ride out and put a better replacement in, as it stands sit down wave is just a boring way to waste 2 minutes

Europe, and even just the UK, has some excellent family coasters. Gold Rush is not one of them. This is the most overrated ride going. Clearly Drayton were more interested in wasting money on switch tracks and different modes (not that it actually seems to run the 2nd mode much) than just building a good ride. The admittedly pretty fun and snappy middle run, traversed twice, is sandwiched between 2 sections that do absolutely nothing at all, as the train takes the elements too slowly because it crawls off the lift, and the final launch actually feels like it trims straight after it launches. And the 1m height restriction is no excuse, not when Storm Chaser is in the country. And don't even mention Macalodon in the same sentence. The theming is kinda fun but also very tacky. Ops are dreadful as well, so slow, and it would seem the days of it running 2 trains are gone already, its only had 1 full season. Very disappointing really

These Intamin SLCs are a rare breed, and the reason for that is clearly because they're rubbish. Tornado is rough, uncomfortable and actually pretty boring, the layout really doesn't do a lot other than shake, the exception being that the loops pull some good force. The trains are poor as well, not comfortable at all and the seat belt off to the side is weird. Its an ugly ride too, the station looks like a disused warehouse. Glad that Intamin stick to what they're good at these days

These Maurer Sky Loops are clearly a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. Abismo, with the extended layout, was much better than I was expecting and really rather enjoyable. The hangtime is obviously crazy, though not very comfortable with the big restraints, and its pretty intense throughout. Though its the airtime in the back that is the star, the whip down the drop is great, the airtime hill is full ejector and the double down into the station is another nice pop. It didn't run too badly either, the back wasn't completely smooth but the front was absolutely fine. Honestly quite underrated I think

What an awesome spinner this is, really good layout with some really intense moments throughout, a huge first drop, and another great drop through a tunnel later in the ride. I got some excellent spin action as well, best to have 2 big people go backwards up the lift with as little weight going forwards as possible. There were a couple jolty moments which were quite uncomfortable but generally it ran well and the brakes weren't too harsh. Awesome ride, probably second only to Dragons Fury in terms of traditional spinners for me

I compare Coaster Express to the Big One, they have a lot in common. Both very large, both very rough and both very boring. Its such a waste of a big coaster when it does literally nothing in terms of force. Bizarrely the roughest moments are actually when the train is high up and moving slower, the valleys aren't too bad but some bits are shocking. A truly terrible ride and not one I'd ever rush to do again

My first Batman clone, and to be honest I was pretty disappointed. For a cloned layout, it is quite strong, and very intense. But it rode pretty bad, my first ride was terrible and very uncomfortable, but fortunately the second was a bit better. Still a very average ride though

Well this was an awesome surprise, superman is fantastic. A proper old school B&M and on a big scale, loads of intensity and some really great moments throughout. The loop is very powerful and I really enjoyed the cobra roll as well. 2 great floater hills give the ride some good diversity, which i really like rather than endless intensity. Awesome first drop too, really good pull in the back. There is a bit of a rattle but honestly I didn't think it was bad at all, I round it really rerideable. It could maybe do with a facelift, some paint and a bit more in the station would go a long way I think. Really great ride though and one of the top B&Ms in Europe!

I went into GCE with sort of low expectations. Taiga was elite but Toutatis disappointed me, so I wasn't sure how I'd find it. I'm very pleased to say that this is also an elite ride, its all go from start to end and every element hits so well. I love a diverse ride, and GCE has pretty much everything, its intense, the hangtime is insane, and the airtime is fantastic, particularly the hill after the top hat, and the top hat itself. Unlike toutatis, the trim doesn't spoil the top hat, you get pretty wild airtime in the front and the back. The launches were all really punchy, much prefer a ride like this without a multipass launch, you feel them so much more. It also runs super smooth, and those Intamin trains are just great. Had it been just a bit longer, perhaps a helix and a final roll at the end, it may well have been my number 1, as it stands its just below my top tier of Helix/Taiga/Ride to Happiness but theres no doubt that GCE is still one of Europe's top coasters and an awesome ride for Parque Warner

Dear god Rita has gone seriously to the dogs. Even the launch sucked on my last ride, and it's terribly rough and uncomfortable. Combine this latest disappointment with the awful ops and I have now decided that there's literally nothing going for it at all, other than one day they can close it and send all the parts to Thorpe Park to sustain Stealth a bit longer!

New Nemmy has gained 3 things since it's redo. The amazing new theming, even more crazy intensity, and a terribly annoying rattle. Yes, somehow this basically brand new version is more rattly than it's 28 year old predecessor. You can look up and watch the wheel hubs shake throughout the layout, which is not what you want on a fully overhauled attraction. One train is definitely worse than the other, however both have got worse over time so it's certainly not great from B&M. Fortunately the ride is redeemed somewhat by the amazing theming job, everything from the new soundtrack to the station is excellent, and all effects are still working as of the end of September. The layout of course is still excellent as well, the reprofiled zero g roll being the highlight, and it's feet-numbingly intense in numerous places, particularly in the afternoon on the back row. The new queue line is rather irritating, views are great but man it's a trek now even with the extensions closed. Can't take anything away from the awesome layout and forces but unfortunately the ride experience is a shadow on it's former self now, arguably it isn't even the best B&M in forbidden valley!

I'm really not sure why these 2 duelling alpine coasters even exist. The whole point of an alpine coaster is one that uses terrain, whereas this one is 80-odd feet in the air on crazy big supports for a ride of it's tyoe. If the insanely long ramp up to the station (presumably you can't ride up the lift hill because the restraints aren't good enough for that) doesn't tell you that these don't belong in theme parks, the shocking capacity will. Whilst they run very smoothly, the layout is uninspiring and quite sluggish until right at the very end. The views are very nice however, one benefit of an elevated queue line I suppose. A bizarre attraction and not one I hope ends up anywhere else.

Wakala is a strange ride. It's not bad by any means, the layout is quite interesting and the sudden speed up on the drive tyre lift hill is quirky, but it's another standard family coaster in a park that already had a family coaster, and one that is superior at that. This made it a peculiar choice and just a bit pointless really, Huracan is by far the better ride. I think Bellewearde would've been better off going for something different, an intamin family launch coaster would've been a better fit. As far as Wakala goes, i like the layout and it's comfortable, though a bit rattly which is quite unusual for a Gerstlauer family coaster. Probably a case of the right ride in the wrong park
