This ride is tons of fun. It's more of a family coaster. Meaning most ages can do this if they're above a certain height. I have friends that can do this coaster, but do not and will not do Matterhorn and Space Mountain. It's comfortable compared to Matterhorn, although there are some turns where you may be sliding against your friend or whoever you are riding with. The theming is top notch. It's the frontier old west vibe. The only con is sometimes the line for this is atrocious, but I guess that's most Disneyland rides depending on how crowded the park is. And it tends to be crowded. Even in the rain.

Space Mountain is an iconic fun ride. It is the fastest ride at the Disneyland park I would say, but it's also very smooth, which makes it enjoyable. Never have had any issues on this like I have on the jerky Matterhorn. The theming is fun inside as it's dark, but with swirling stars like you're hurling through space. When it turns it can often turn completely to the side at an angle for those that are more sensitive, but like I said, it's still a smooth ride in my opinion. The only con? The wait times for this are always horrendous. Because of that awful pay a lot of money Lightning Lane to go first, the stand by line gets stuck waiting in this narrow hallway that can be claustrophobic for some. It was never like that over the years in the 1980's up through 2020 when they adopted that awful Lightning Lane. Great ride otherwise

I had always like the Matterhorn, but the last time I rode this it just majorly messed up my back and neck for about 1 1/2 months. The pain was excruciating the first couple weeks after. I thought how could a ride do this. Especially one I've gone on over the years. It's always been jerky, but it felt more jerky than it had ever been. The way you're whipped around like a rag doll isn't fun. The ride itself could be fantastic if they were somehow able to fix that. I don't think they can. This was built in the 1950's I think. Unless they replaced the track and bobsleds with something more hi-tech. I don't know. I'm not a coaster engineer. The mountain is an iconic image of Disneyland so I wouldn't want them to tear the mountain down itself. Don't even think that's logistically possible anyway. But 'tear it down!', I'm referring to the mechanics of it, the track, the coaster itself. It needs something. And I know I'm not alone. This has been a massive complaint from so many people of ALL ages and athletic builds. And I am athletic, but it still messed me up. Sadly, I reached the point where I probably won't be able to ever go on this again unless that's fixed. Can't have an issue like the one I described happen again or be much worse.
