5 stars aren't enough. Whatever could be considered to be the "okay" portions of the ride are more than outweighed by both launches, comfort of the lap bar, top hat, mosasaurus roll, and the theming that does not disappoint from the second you enter the queue. Not to mention, a night ride provides indescribable euphoria. This coaster is a life changer. I don't know how SteVe or IG can top this, but should they not, I'm perfectly fine with VC remaining my #1.

To have this ride not be in your main home park but to also have it within an hour's drive is definitely an interesting scenario. It really does stand out like a sore thumb. But once you get past the dirt and gravel parking lot, the carnival rides (which some are actually to be enjoyed) and a long-ish walk to the back of the park, you'll find a coaster that actually lives up to its hype, for better or worse. The first drop, while at a nice height, didn't do much for me, even on the back row, which was the 4th ride of the evening after pit-stopping during a 4 hour return drive, but all within about 10 minutes of each other, so the ability to lap a coaster that is on most thoosie top-10 lists definitely pushes the coaster up a notch in my rankings. The raven truss dive, zero-g roll, and outerbank were cool, but once again, nothing I couldn't handle. However, since my expectations were tempered, I proceeded to be absolutely blown away by the double-up (surprisingly) and subsequent arcade roll (this was elite as advertised). The rest of the ride went back to being fun, yet tame. Maybe VC has me spoiled. The brake run confirmed that RMC restraints suck for anyone relatively tall. Didn't hurt, but definitely wasn't pleasant. At least said brake run came at the end of the layout and not anywhere else, so pacing is certainly a standout feature of the ride. Along with its speed as well, it was hauling pretty nicely. And I must mention that it was warm-butter-cuttingly smooth. All of this to say, this is a ride that I'm not in love with, but I can see how other folks are. Overall, it's my #2 out of a small amount of credits.
