I was told that this ride was "boring", and I got off wondering how a ride like that could possibly be considered boring by anyone. The first drop had some great airtime, and the twister second half is deceivingly intense. It's also one of the more scenic rides in the park, and I much prefer it to Dragster.

I really wanted to love this after having previously ridden Big Bad Wolf and The Bat (the newer one) at Kings Island, but I ended up coming away disappointed. It doesn't have the speed of either of those coasters. There is more swinging overall. There is a pronounced rattle that I didn't experience on The Bat though, and while it didn't hurt me, it did take away from the experience some.

This is a good family coaster, I didn't mind it, however it doesn't hold a candle to the other Arrow suspended coaster I've ridden, Vortex at Canada's Wonderland, or even the rest of the coasters I've ridden at Cedar Point. It's very much a stepping stone coaster for the little ones, and not really something for thrill-seekers and coaster enthusiasts. Most intense part is probably the helix near the end, but other than that, Iron Dragon is a pretty tame coaster

I mean, it’s pretty good for a family coaster. In terms of forces, there are no forces. Just speed and a bit of intensity with the swinging. It’s fun. A bit of jankiness because of it being a 80s arrow, not too bad. This thing’s location is incredible. Not only does it have the beautiful pond that can have mist, it also uses Top Thrill 2’s spike to its advantage. You get insane views of the spike, even going under it. Anyways, this is the better arrow family coaster and this is what you should be taking your kids on instead of Cedar Creek.

Despite their relative lack of excitement and forces, I still kind of love these Arrow suspended coasters. Comparing Iron Dragon to Bat, the only other one I've been on, this one is definitely much less intense, but the actual swinging is much more pronounced, which I like. A ride over the water is also always a great thing. Overall, though, it's nothing too special. Regardless, Iron Dragon is still just a really fun time. 6/10 - this poor little guy really just had two other roller coasters unceremoniously plopped on top of it, huh

This ride conveniently occupied by wife and daughter while I rode some of the bigs. It was an unremarkable hanging coaster that felt like it could be sold at a flea market. There was some aura of nostalgia for my wife who rode it as a teenager and my daughter liked it enough. But to me, this was a poor, past-its-prime version of the Big Bad Wolf...and I never loved that ride either.

Other than that, this is a glorified monorail. However, I'm probably not the target audience for this one, as this one is geared more towards families.

Look, I know this ride is a family coaster, but my goodness is it stupid. Iron Dragon, or as I call it, Iron Wagon, what can I say? I will give it this, this ride is the smoothest of all the Arrow coasters in the park, and it has a very nice setting. However, this ride is very boring, dull, and stupid, especially when compared to the other suspended coasters. I have never been on the Bat at Kings Island, but I'll admit, it looks like a good time. The same goes for Vortex at CW. We also can't forget about Big Bad Wolf! Why did that one close but not this? Along with Corkscrew, this is another ride I gave up on after just one ride, it's too boring and always has too long of a wait. Again, I don't wish death upon Iron Wagon, but I think Iron Dragon has served its run and should be destroyed. At least this ride doesn't try to make you sick to your stomach though!

The journey through the trees and swinging around make this another great Arrow masterpiece.
