This is just a bigger Possessed. It is as rough, as intense and as fun. I think I prefer Possessed, just because the straight backwards spike is more thrilling than the twisted one. I don't know why people hate Impulses so much, they're really intense and very fun!

Here's the thing, if this ride were at any other amusement park, it would be the best or one of the best rides there. However, since it was at Cedar Point, it was a complete joke and everyone hated it...

Here's the thing, if this ride were at any other amusement park, it would be the best or one of the best rides there. However, since it was at Cedar Point, it was a complete joke and everyone hated it, leading to its closure. However, that still doesn't mean it's bad, in fact, Wicked Twister was a good ride. While Wicked Twister does have elements that try to make you puke like Raptor, that's not all the ride is. Wicked Twister has launches, speed, intensity, and smoothness. This ride was very unfortunately stitched between Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster, two amazing rides. However, excluding it from those, there was still a lot to love about this great coaster!

These impulse coasters are simple but a lot of fun. The initial launch on this has a great punch and the subsequent forwards and backwards launches give some great power as well. Both the forward and backwards twisted spikes give some pretty cool forces and having those right next to the beautiful beach is an amazing visual. It did have a bit of a rattle but it wasn’t enough to kill the ride for me.

WT was always a nice diversion when lines were long at other rides. My favorite seat was the back where the hangtime was the best when the train reached the peak of the backward spike. Sorry to see ...

Ce fut mon premier modèle du genre, et il s'est fait désirer le bougre, il est d'une fiabilité pitoyable. Mais une fois que c'est parti, ça pulse. Je sais pas pourquoi mais j'apprécie ce launch en plusieurs fois alors qu'en général ce n'est pas ma tasse de thé. Ensuite les flèches c'est fun, mais ma préférée est celle à 45°. Enfin ce coaster est à la plage pour ceux qui ne serait pas déjà assez contents d'être à Cedar Point.

I, thankfully, got to have my first and last coaster credit on my first trip to CP 3 days before it closed. I had always dreamed of going to CP since I was 10, and WT was one of the ones that I wanted to go on most, and I was so sad when I heard CP was retiring the coaster. Anyways, enough backstory, back to the review. It was AWESOME. I went at sunset and my father and I both got to see the water. A lot of bugs hit my face but it was SO worth it. I was in the front row in it was terrifying plummeting down. The launch was a little rattly on my ride but I was shocked at how much force it was. The ride entrance was pretty cool, although it was kind of basic compared to the other ride entrances (my fav ride entrance is Maverick). The ride operators were really nice and funny (no cap, the ride before us, the ride operator said "Have a nice ride on Whizzler Twizzler.", so whenever I think of WT, I think of twizzlers :3 ). Altogether, such a perfect ride, so sad to see it go.

Wicked Twister is one of those rides that you don’t think is the best or one of the best, but you just enjoy it for what it is. That LIM launch is forceful, but the first few times going up the spikes aren’t that good. It’s not until you get to full speed that you really feel the power of the ride. The back spike in the back is just insane, and I think the ride is perfectly fine. I definitely felt like they should have taken something else down, but I understand why it had to be the dangling coaster to go.

Wicked Twister also doesn’t hurt like possessed did for some reason but I’m glad it doesn’t. Overall nothing special but it was a pretty fun ride

But enough with the math lesson, this has some great launches, the twisted sections are a lot of fun. And it's feet away from the water. Just a fun ride.

I don't remember much from my ride on Wicked Twister 5 years ago, but that just shows that this ride is easily forgotten in the lineup of Cedar Point. The launches are pretty fun, but that is the only real force you will feel here. It always annoys me that on these kinds of shuttle coasters the train never reaches the top of the structure. I know that's for safety but it kills my OCD side. I don't give out the pointless badge very often, but I think this deserves it. There are other much better launch and inverted coasters in the park, and the quality of thrills that this ride provides doesn't match that of CP. This could easily be relocated to one of Cedar Fair's neglected parks, and that would be be the best outcome for this ride I believe.

Restraints said by some to err, interfere with gentlemen. I didn't have a problem and I'm not exactly on the small side. Front of train seems to give better ride experience overall.
