Intensity Rattle Headbanging Discomfort
the fact that this wasn't the first coaster sent to the scrapyard by the flags-fair merger mystifies me. why does this still exist
-
Layout Discomfort
Ninja was another surprise on the trip as it turned out to be nowhere near as bad as I expected. It was still not something I’d go out of my way to recommend or ride but I thought it was going to be dreadful and it was alright. I said the loop had some whip and my head didn’t get banged at all. The only real problem was some rough spots and janky transitions. What helped was that I specifically went near the front to save some of the roughness and that worked out.

Inversions Layout Rattle Headbanging Discomfort
This ride is janky with bad transitions that caue moderate headbanging and a pretty forecless ride but not as bad as everyone says
-
This shouldn't be ranked so low. Nothing special about it but it's definitely more intense then a mine train and no major rattle.

Capacity Fun Dead spots
I'm a little surprised at the hate this ride gets. While it's nothing special, I did not find it to be super rough, nor are the transitions as jarring as they can be on other older Arrow type coasters. The layout is... fine. Nothing special. But I got a little air and some good intensity - especially in the back. As long as you can get your head either above or in front of the restraint, the ride runs fairly smooth as well. And that's true for all original Arrow style trains - so I'm not entirely sure why Ninja gets more hate than other old Arrow coasters. It's not a stunning ride, but as far as old Arrows go (and yes I know Vekoma had to come in to finish building it) it's definitely better than many of them - looking at you corkscrew (Cedar Point)

Inversions Location Disappointing! Intensity
I don’t know what to think of this one. A product of both Arrow and Vekoma, it’s certainly an interesting ride. Its layout is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, but I think that adds to the charm. It’s not bad, but it’s not super intense, and even with the inversions it’s just alright. Surprisingly it’s not extremely rough, I’d put it slightly above Viper at SFMM, though I’d take Viper’s layout and intensity over this any day.

Nice surprise! Headbanging Discomfort
People say this is really bad but it was ok

Smoothness Headbanging Harness Discomfort
The awful profiling of the track just kills the ride. Trains themselves are smooth but the janky profiling and harnesses beat you up. Tear it down!

Rattle Headbanging Discomfort
Not fun. It feels so odd and janky. Very very rough.

Headbanging Discomfort Tear it down!
I rode this and I got terrible headbanging through the sidewinder and through the rest of the ride, it does have some nice headchoppers though.

Fun Harness Disappointing! Discomfort
On several sites online this is considered to be one of the worst coasters on the planet. I don't really understand that. Sure, it isn't at all what I would call smooth, but it isn't painful. The first drop delivers a nice pop of air. Then a couple of loops, followed by corkscrews. It finishes with a rather forceful (positive G) helix. Overall, it delivers a pretty decent ride. There are a couple of rough transitions--especially entering the first corkscrew, but it isn't nearly as bad some others I have ridden (Ninja at SF Georgia). I have ridden this as many as 10 times in a row without bruising or limping afterward, if that means anything to anyone. Nowhere near a great coaster, but also nowhere near the worst. More than a useful addition to the park. Fun and worth the ride.

Nice surprise! Rattle Headbanging Discomfort
I'm normally pretty tolerant of rough rides, but this one is pretty bad. It's definitely not as apocalyptically bad as some hype it up to be, but it's really not great. That headchopper was pretty cool though.

Inversions Headbanging
Surprisingly this is a solid Arrow looper in my opinion. I experienced your normal headbanging on most Arrow loopers but just keeping your head back makes the experience way less painful. It comes with your standard double loop in the beginning then throws in a double corkscrew which is where the pain is. The helix near the ground at the end was decently intense and pretty enjoyable. I would still ride this one again if I were in the St. Louis area and feel like it gets a horrible reputation compared to the other higher-rated Arrows. 3/5 stars Edit: I can't believe this is a Vekoma. Please ignore the Arrow looper comments but this feels so much like one.

Headbanging Discomfort Tear it down!
The worst arrow/vekoma probably in the entire world. Its so painful and lives up to its name as ninja. Should be ranked the worst roller coaster on the planet. Would never ride again.

First Drop Inversions Nice surprise! Rattle Headbanging
Over-hated and my favorite ride at the park Main problem is headbanging. The worst of a ride I’ve ever been on, ignoring that this ride is suprisingly amazing

Pointless
I didn’t find it rough at all, some of the transitions aren’t perfect but it definitely wasn’t an uncomfortable ride. However the ride is just slow and doesn’t pull any forces so I still don’t really like it. Honestly the most memorable part about ninja for me is that the first drop gave me butterflies.

Airtimes First Drop Headbanging Discomfort Dead spots
This ride is a good first drop followed by an unenjoyable rough experience. Not terrible like some people say but pretty bad

Headbanging Discomfort Tear it down!
Pain. Agony. Distress. The only coaster that caused me more pain was Mean Streak.
-
Headbanging Tear it down! Intensity
I can't wrap my head around the fact that this was once the hottest thrill ride in the park. It crawls through its layout and slams your head through every Planet Coaster transition like it was designed to be trash. This thing absolutely deserves its reputation as one of the worst coasters on earth. It doesn't belong in Six Flags St. Louis, it belongs in the scrapyard. I would love to see this ride torn down and replaced with a raptor of the same name and color scheme.
