Intensity Headbanging Too short Harness

Ouch my head. I’ve always found SLC’s to be way too short. Extremely violent and uncomfortable ride.

Intensity Layout

This is the best ride at Elitch Gardens. The loop going backwards is super intense ln my opinion. What surprised me the most was its smoothness. I’ve only got slight head banging on the cobra-roll once and it didn’t hurt that much. Props to vekoma and Elitch for keeping such good care of this ride. I also love its wack color scheme.

Discomfort Tear it down! Lap Bar

This 👏 thing 👏 hurts. Somebody messed up in the revamp because this thing is horrible. It’s rough, uncomfortable, loud, janky, and most importantly painful. I had bruises on my thighs and lower hips because your are literally slamming against the train and whoever you’re sitting next too. The train BOUNCES on the track and the supports on the first turn after the drop still sway way too much. Elitch said it was going to be “faster and longer” when it reopened as twister III and it got me wondering. Was this supposed to get the RMC treatment? This ride is a prime example of Elitch gardens neglect towards their rides, it needed more than a new theme. It needed new everything.

Airtimes Headbanging Capacity Harness

I am a Colorado coaster enthusiast whose home park is Elitch gardens. I finally got my first ride on half pipe on season pass opening day 2023. At the time this ride went immediately to my number 1 in the park and my only complaints were the restraints and a slight rattle. Unfortunately, half pipe was not running well in 2024, the slight rattle turned into an extremely noticeable rattle and I was constantly getting my head banged around the rather bulky ostr’s. I recommend trying to put your head forward to avoid head-banging. I will also caution (if you’re a man) not hold on to the harness. You see, half pipe has a tendency to crush your… man parts… against the seat horn and the harness. The seats and harness are also extremely restrictive so you may not fit if you have larger thighs. With that being said Elitch has fixed most of the reliability issues as it was operating on all my visits during 2024 and the mild floater is rather cool if you haven’t ever experienced airtime.
