No clue why they remade this. Left a giant footprint for a rather mediocre remake that changes very little. All the new hype and for what? Hopefully they redo the sawmill area soon (seen construction here recently), and moving the ride was the first step? idk. The electric rail breaks down easier and the updated speed is disjointing and still can’t handle the capacity. Still, it’s a nostalgic ride and a good way to escape the Ozark rain. Don’t go in expecting a coaster, expect a relaxing ride with some cool theming.

This ride really began the Mack dynasty, and while it has been compared to its big brother RTH (which I will hopefully get a chance to ride soon), that shouldn’t discount its highlights. It’s intense, but that’s certainly not the focal point—SDC is a family park, after all, so it doesn’t need to be a tough ride. The initial drop is a masterclass in station-exits, and the launches work well in the context of the ride. One thing it will always have on RTH is its length and (based on POVs at least), pacing.
Some have complained about reliability, but I’ve ridden it maybe a few dozen times across 8-ish visits and never had a problem. Though… wait times can be dreadful during peak season.
10/10 ride, forever a favorite

Amazing ride, loved it since the inception. All-in-all, it’s like a 19-second ride after the first drop and I wish it brought a little more to the table, especially during peak ride times. Still a great ride, love the view from the top, and the barrel rolls are a lovely finish.

Genuinely incredible ride. The initial launch is unforgettable and the theming is on-point. Capacity and efficiency is top-notch. There’s a bit of rattle on the outer seats, but even then, not bad enough to warrant a lower rating. Came off with a headache the first time but chocked it up to trying to hold my head back—upon subsequent rides I found that keeping my neck limp eased the rattle substantially.
The intensity was amazing, Mack has been delivering banger after banger this decade. Can’t wait to ride again
