Twister is a good - but not great - wooden rollercoaster that is somewhat hampered by the small size. The ride is a good one and both the first drop and the airtime is to be commended. However, I find the lap bar painful and restrictive. I wish they switched trains to more traditional lap bars.

Like Monster, this ride sells the experience on the virtue of the near misses and flying close over the heads over the other park visitors. It is very smooth and a great ride for the entire family The theming is on point but could probably be improved a notch or two.
The biggest drawback is the capacity. They only have one train running and for such a popular coaster, it translates to a waiting time that is not warranted for the experience. If the wait time was shorter, I'd ride this one far more.

I promised myself I would not rate legacy rides but I grew up on Jetline. It was the first big coaster I ever rode on and the ride that made me love Rollercoasters ever since. The first drop is amazing in terms of speed and the tunnel they added just makes the experience that much better. The second drop flips you on your head into intense twists and turns and while I like this part less, its intensity in the second half is absolutely part of its charm. The ride truly stood out at the end of a long night when it was warmed up, very fast with three trains running in the sunset and that is an experience I will miss.

Monster is not the King of Rollercoasters as they claim but it is a very fun ride that I will happily ride over and over again whenever I visit Gröna Lund. The sense of speed coupled with the near misses and the inversions make this a spectacular ride - especially considering the limited space of the park. While I am not sure the coaster alone is worth the visit; the park as a whole most certainly is and monster is part of that experience. Its short and sweet and if you time your visit correctly, so will the line. It is a great addition to the park.
However, Monster seems oddly designed. I am a tall fella and I had to sit in the seats in the middle to fit meaning both front and back was restricted. All seats should be one-size-fits-all; especially since I twice had to wait longer for seats that I could sit in.
Being unable to ride in the front and back is also a mark off. I am only deducting half a point since this is an individual problem but it is one I hope they will fix until next season.

To get the most out of the first drop, you should absolutely sit in the back but the front is also fun if you want the sense of speed. The inversions are a lot of fun; especially since this was my first time doing inversions with just a lap restraint. If you are there for the zoo, Wildfire is one hell of a bonus but if you are there for Wildfire, you will find low waiting times and skilled staff. Their display of broken phones is also a nice touch to remind you to leave your personals in the locker or with less brave friends.
