Coaster reviews
-
Theming Comfort
Very nicely themed family boomerang.
-
First Drop Hangtime Rattle
This is the dynamic brother of 'Lost Gravity' - in contrast to the first Big Dipper, the Plohn version immediatly gets to speed after the wonderful first drop and doesn't slow down.
-
Theming Smoothness Discomfort
Fantastic theming in the whole Rookburgh area! The integration of FLY is an architectural/engineering masterpiece. Unfortunately, this is still a flying coaster and I dislike this type of coaster a lot. I don't feel like flying - I feel like hanging. Headdache included.
-
Launch Too short
This is a one-trick-pony. However, as short as it is, it also provides some thrill and fun.
-
Launch Intensity
The best experience is in the front row. Prepare for some mind-boggling launch and speed. The layout is drawn out and the train is slowed down just before the first airtime hill - but they have to do this, otherwise the ride would be too extreme. The first few hills offer floating airtime which I love.
-
Pointless - they run this without dueling.
-
Theming Nice surprise!
For a Zamperla spinning coaster, this has a rather modern layout. The theming of the whole ride is excellent.
-
First Drop Lap Bar
Another surprise in the dark section of the ride. Really fun ride... except I don't like the shape of the seat (especially for men). :)
-
Theming Fun
It's "only" a family coaster but the theming is excellent.
-
Intensity Ejectors
Surprisingly fun dark launcher which is really fun and intense.
-
Airtimes Too short
This Bobsled layout is very compact and smooth. But unfortunately it also offers less thrill then its larger brothers.
-
Theming
Arthur the Ride's bigger brother. They increased the quality of theming but unfortunately they also reduced the rollercoaster-experience.
-
Comfort Launch
This can be compared to 'Star Trek: Operation Enterprise' in the Movie Park Germany. It has a shuttle-launch. While the initial launch is really weak, the launch backwards and the final launch forward are fun. Nice but a little short layout afterwards which is executed really smooth.
-
First Drop Intensity Headbanging
This is a rather standard Eurofighter. Still fun though. Compared to Gerstlauer Infinity coasters, this has shoulder restraints which might cause some headbanging.
-
Lap Bar Hangtime Rattle
Compared to the original in Europa-Park this has two disadvantages: It is relatively rattly (don't get me wrong: this is still rather smooth, but for a Mack...) and the terrain is more lackluster.
-
Fun Intensity
Surprisingly the best coaster at IMG. Intense and fun at the same time.
-
Nice surprise! Intensity Hangtime
Except for a launch, this Infinity Coaster from Gerstlauer pulls all the triggers a ride of this type could possibly have. Smooth but intense ride, well themed.
-
Airtimes Launch Hangtime Rattle
Has a stronger launch than it‘s smaller cousin Karacho. Wonderful hangtime in the looping, a little bit of a rattle on the outer seats. Quite intense, loving it!
-
Fun Masterpiece
A classic side-friction coaster. Smooth legacy ride. I love those things!
-
Theming Location Fun
This is a simple coaster. But it is indoors and it has one of the best theming I have ever seen around it. So much fun!
-
Fun Discomfort
Build by an english train company, this is one of the most unique coasters you will encounter on the world. The beginning reminds me of a simple train ride, but the second part back is a wild ride through the woods. A little bit rough, but "ultimately" I loved it!
-
Airtimes Nice surprise!
One of the best mobile coasters. Airtime without tight restraints lets you "stand" in the cars.
-
Pace Hangtime Discomfort
A lot better than the standard Sky Wheel. But the waiting times were abysmal...
-
Fun
This is the best spinning coaster I have ridden so far. Interesting layout and due to the spinning, each ride will be different.
-
Inversions Intensity Intensity
This B&M Inverter is actually better themed than its 'Batman' counterparts in the Six Flags chain. Smooth inverter which packs some punch. A lot better than the Vekoma SLCs.
-
Intensity Harness
A lot better than the Giant Boomerang 'Goliath' in Six Flags New England - this is actually quite fun and intense. It's also relatively smooth. Still, I don't like the restraints and the prison-like atmosphere of the station, though.
-
Disappointing! Discomfort
A total waste of wood. Not only does it rattle like hell, it also has a totally uninteresting layout.
-
Airtimes Inversions
This is the best B&M floorless I have ridden so far. Better than Bizarro in Six Flags Great Adventure and a lot better than Dragon Khan. That being said, I still miss airtime moments on this type of coaster. Superman has some short airtime hills, but that's not enough for me.
-
Headbanging
This is a relatively smooth Vekoma SLC. A lot better than the prototype in Walibi Holland. But it's still an SLC...
-
Launch Intensity
This 'Oldie but Goldie' from Anton Schwarzkopf did get a new funky theming and is now in the dark. The new launch system works well enough and the chaos in the dark is the fun part.
