Duration Rattle Dead spots
I was expecting it to be a lot rougher. Don’t get me wrong it’s rough but tolerable. The ride has been down for most the day before I rode it so it definitely wasn’t warmed up and it lacked in airtime though I was also in the second car and guessing the airtime is better towards the back. The layout seemed promising but the pace slowed down in a lot of sections. Especially near the end.

Pace Layout
It’s fine but for being a part of a parks top 3 coasters it’s not a coaster I really want to re ride. I’m also not a huge B&M invert fan to begin with so that doesn’t help. It comfortable enough and the layout is decent but not super memorable or fun either for me. Definitely better B&M inverts out there. Feels overrated on here.

First Drop Intensity Rattle Disappointing!
Was a lot better when I visited 10 years ago. Noticeable rattle now and seems to have lost a lot of the ejector airtime. I actually got more in the middle of a train vs the back. Not sure if it was train dependent. WOF line up is pretty weak so this is still one of the better coasters but mamba is now my fav vs prowler.

Pace Disappointing! Discomfort Lap Bar
1 year old and so much rattle can’t imagine this will age well. Lap bars are awful, no air time. Has some decent lateral mid to end of the ride other than that one and done for me.

Location Layout Rattle Disappointing! Discomfort
This has to be better when I rode it 10 years ago. I think I had it rated at least a 3.5 or 4. It’s just super rough now. Not surprising for an aging arrow coaster that has some badly profiled parts of track. Great layout for a mine train but just to rough for me to want to ride ever again

Duration Discomfort
I’m always puzzled at how uncomfortably made most kiddie coasters are. Seems like that should be priority #1 for a coaster for children. It’s horribly uncomfortable for people of any age and size.

First Drop Nice surprise! Location Too short
Was surprised how much I enjoyed this one. Some great airtime in the back row, really smooth for its age and the inversion were the Goldilocks of inversions. Not too aggressive not to dull nicely contoured and enjoyable. Wish it was longer but a fantastic supporting ride to king and queen of the park OR and TT. Didn’t get a chance to ride front row, but based on the airtime we got in the back row I’m guessing that’s the best place to ride.

Airtimes Launch Fun
I really have a soft spot for unique coasters as long as they are fun and at least mostly comfortable and this checks off both boxes. It just got knocked out of my top 35 list but could even find its way back on if I re ride others that disappoint. Fun launch, airtime could stand being a bit longer but definitely a good one.

Airtimes Masterpiece Ejectors Rattle Too short
With the introduction of rattle since I last rode it around 10 years ago it’s a bit less enjoyable. Loses a little pace at the end going into the double rolls as well, but it acts a bit of a stall with fun hang time . It’s still an amazing coaster and the rattle is still pretty minimal when compared to other Wooden coasters but preferred it when it was glass smooth as that’s rare with wooden coasters and honestly a bit of a treat. It’s still a very unique ride filled with airtime, even some side airtime. It’s a back seat coaster for sure but try both ends if you get the chance. I think Time Traveler is going to nudge OR out of my top 5 as it’s just so fun and re rideable but props to SDC for having 2 coasters in my top 6!

Comfort Smoothness Capacity Disappointing!
Honestly this is a miss, and $30 million that could have been better spent on something new and just kept the old one, that probably had more charm imo. The theming to me isn’t anything special and one wall was completely bare for a chunk of the ride. The coaster itself does nothing special either. I guess it’s fun for a family with youngsters and it’s smooth I’ll give it that.

First Drop Smoothness Layout Launch
As spinning coaster I had my doubts. My first lap quelled them immediately. Had 3 laps in total all in the back and that first drop is amazing! Definitely the star of the show but the rest ain’t too shabby either. Great airtime and hang time moments. The spinning isn’t aggressive enough to make you feel dizzy or sick but enough to add a fun unpredictability to the ride and make every ride feel a little different. Now that outlaw run has gotten a little rattle and roughness this is the best ride in the park. What a great top 2 coasters for a park to have and with 2 great and unique coasters in Powder Keg and Wildfire backing them up, makes sense why this park is so popular among enthusiasts.

Intensity Smoothness
Not a massive B&M invert guy but this one is surprisingly smooth for being built in 1995. There are many better B&M inverts but this comes in 3rd place in a super weak line up at SFSL

Nice surprise! Fun Smoothness
Not my favorite coaster type but this one was smooth with a fun layout.
-
Smoothness Duration Airtimes Intensity
It’s a decent kiddie coaster. The on ride sound effects are a nice bonus.

Harness Discomfort Tear it down!
Old Vakoma Boomer. Is all you need to know. Make them all disappear!
-
Smoothness Headbanging Harness Discomfort
The awful profiling of the track just kills the ride. Trains themselves are smooth but the janky profiling and harnesses beat you up. Tear it down!
-
Launch Intensity Discomfort
It’s unique but I found it a bit uncomfortable. It’s the best ride park which isn’t saying much. Wouldn’t want to ride this too many times because of the discomfort so just adds to the disappointing line up SFSL
-
Comfort Fun Disappointing! Airtimes
Earlier day ride with half empty train probably don’t help but not a particularly memorable ride which is sad as the parks second best coaster.
-
Duration Rattle Discomfort Tear it down!
RMC this thing asap. It’s dangerously rough.

Airtimes Location Disappointing! Discomfort Tear it down!
I feel like this got a lot worse since my last visit. I feel bad for this park. There are at least 4 flat out bad roller coasters at this park Ninja, Boom, Boss and scream. This park needs a lot of love for me to revisit.

Theming Smoothness Too short Capacity Airtimes
It’s a beautiful roller coaster. No doubt about that and worth a lap just to see the que theming. Family coaster is being kind, it’s a boderline kiddie coaster. It’s too short and one train booming will likely create some long lines on busy days. It’s a front row ride for sure but the one lap is plenty for the credit if you are an enthusiast. Probably top 5 prettiest coasters though. Theming and the train got this an extra point. Without that it’s a 2.5.

Location Pace Airtimes
Had this above thunderbird on my visit 10 years ago but no longer. Not sure if was rain related but the airtime was meh this time around. The terrain is nice, pace is good as is intensity. It’s still better than Legend so I’ll give it that. Sorry I just really need my airtime.

Pace Intensity Rattle Discomfort Airtimes
Honestly don’t get the love for this one. It’s rough and I’m not a fan of lateral focused woodies. If it’s rough and uncomfortable I’ve got to be rewarded with some airtime. Ride it once for the day and marathon voyage and thunderbird.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Smoothness Too short
Not a huge fan of wing style coasters but this one is a winner. If they keep building wing coasters they absolutely needed launches. Flying through the two structures with amazing head choppers was the cherry on top for this ride. Smooth, comfortable just a great coaster. Easily my favourite wing coaster.

Location Intensity Duration Airtimes
It had been at least 10 years since I rode it and there was rain earlier in the day, but as an airtime connoisseur I found it a bit disappointing in that category, especially compared to it’s lil sibling Ravine Flyer 2, which I rode earlier in the week. It’s still a masterpiece, great first drop, insane lats, improved as the day got hotter, still super intense and a lot of fun. Very re rideable considering the length and intensity. The re tracked areas also seemed nice and smooth. I think there are better wooden coasters like El Toro, Thunderhead and even Ravine Flyer 2 to me is more fun but Voyage is still likely cracking my top 5 wooden coasters.
-
Airtimes Fun
It’s not something worth marathoning, especially with SC and LR in the park, but a fun older woodie with a few decent airtime moments. I found it a bit rougher in the back and me and my lil coaster enthusiast in training, both preferred our front row ride. Definitely would still suggest a lap on both ends of the train.
-
Airtimes Fun Too short
Definitely a fun lil surprise and decently intense for a family coaster with some nice pops of airtime. A little on the rough side especially for a newer family coaster. Overall still a fun one that you should take a lap on both ends of the train.
-
Airtimes Fun Ejectors Too short
The only Chance rcoaster I’ve ridden and it didn’t disappoint. We need more of these! 9 air time moments, 10 if you count the first drop in the back at least. Fantastic ride nothing to dislike other than it being a bit short in duration. I go back and forth trying to decide if this is a better coaster vs Storm Chaser. Either way they are a great 1-2 punch followed by Kentucky Flyer and Thunder Run as fun wooden coasters. Great line up for a smaller park.
-
Airtimes First Drop Ejectors Too short
I have yet to ride a bad RMC but this one is shorter, smaller and a bit less intense than others. Definitely a notch below the last two I’ve ridden (WCR and SV). That being said love the twisting first drop acts as a bit of a stall especially in the front which was really fun! Has some fantastic airtime moments. Lost some pace near the end but I rode right after a rainstorm and the trains weren’t completely filled. Very re rideable which is always a plus if you like to marathon coasters.

Location Intensity Duration Airtimes
It’s so long, unique with amazing terrain you have to love it. It was hauling the last time I rode it. I found it pretty intense especially after the second lift hill. With all the length it would be nice to have more airtime, could be smoother and the first lift hill is slow as molasses. I’m getting old so don’t think I can handle marathoning it but a ride in the afternoon and one in the dark to end your night would be the chefs kiss to a day at Kings Island. 👑
