Wow. This is a positive G coaster! Especially when you ride in the back. It's like you're at the end of a whip. The blood will rush to your feet, and I greyed out a little and got dizzy on one or two of the elements. The back row is more intense and surprising. You don't get to see what's coming. You just experience it. The front row was really fun. Less intense. More like flying. Both are great experiences. I also did a night ride in the back row, but I think that would have been better in the front. In the back, the intensity + not seeing what's coming + flashing lights/shadows/rushing noises all make for a "what just happened to me?" experience, but not in the way I prefer. Great ride! And a pretty long one too. FEEL THE TERROR OF MONTU!

This thing is so intense, it's completely nuts. The whip, the forces, it's all so strong and throughout all the inversions, with the batwing and zero-g roll being the highlights. The trenches are a very nice addition to help the sense of speed. Montu is just plain fantastic!

Montu is an incredible invert with lots (a world record of 7 for inverts) whippy inversions and plenty of rip-your-legs-off positive Gs. It is amazing in both the front and back row, though the maximum effect of some of the elements is only achieved in one of those. I think the positive Gs might be a bit stronger or perhaps more sustained in the front row because I gray out there but not in the back. I think this ever so slightly edges out Raptor because it seems to run a bit smoother, but it doesn't quite match the raw power (or smooth-tracking polyurethane wheels) of Alpengeist. I didn't experience any headbanging in any row while pressing my head back into the headrest, but some elements could possibly result in headbanging if you don't ride defensively.

This was a good ride when it comes to lines. We only had to wait for one train for the front row. The harness was very secure and comfortably, but still lightly loose for more comfort. The location is nice because you can get some pretty good photo ops! (See the picture I submitted) However, I was expecting this ride to be fun. I was wrong...ish. It was disappointing. The ride was actually awesome! Until the Batwing. Started there, the ride got way too bangy and intense! When I got off, it felt like my chest caved in. Too many g's.

I know this isn't the worlds most famous roller coaster for head banging, but if you're on an outside seat, it's definitely there. By the point you've gone through 6 of the inversions, you think the rush is over until you drop into the trenches picking back up speed and there is an amazing barrel roll. On the batwings you feel like your lips will fall off, and the trenches help the speed and ride experience. Plus, going through the loops while being around them and not inside is exhilirating.

Honestly, it's overrated, but that doesn't stop me from liking the ride. I really enjoyed all of the forceful inversions that this ride provides. It's also very smooth. I just don't think it's as good...

This is pretty much a perfect ride. It is full of positive Gs throughout and packs quite a punch. Sitting on either side in the back row is a great experience, especially off the first drop, where there is a lot of whip. The last time I rode it, I greyed out slightly right near the bottom of the first drop. I was sitting in the back row, far right seat, so there was a lot of whip from the first drop and a lot of intensity. Every inversion on the coaster is great and the low to the ground elements are just the icing on the cake.

Quelle puissance... Montu est très intense et impressionnant. Le coaster a pour lui une théma trop simple mais propre, mais un débit calamiteux. Le coaster en lui même est parfait, il possède d'excellent pics de puissance (le loop, l'immelman et le batwing) et comme d'habitude chez B&M, est parfaitement fluide. Mention spéciale au premier loop, un de mes préférés tout coaster confondu. Un des meilleurs du genre!

This is one of the best B&M inverts out there, it packs a punch with the inversions and stands out from others in the same model because of the way it enters trenches and interacts with the landscape. It's long and fast throughout but there are some cons. This ride has no airtime, but that's honestly fine for a B&M invert. The main thing is that for a ride that should have solid capacity, because it's at Tampa Busch Gardens, the operations are terrible and always has a long line unless you get here at the start of the day. It also has picked up a noticeable rattle. Not Kumba level rattle but enough that you are shaken around quite a bit. Overall a solid coaster, but not the star of the park.

I'm happy to say that Montu lived up to the hype as an incredible inverted coaster. The beautiful combination of positive forces and subtle yet gorgeous theming make this ride special. I don't think it's miles better than a ride like Afterburn, but I do believe it makes a lot of smaller changes that result in an overall better experience. Despite the first half of the layout being rather similar to Afterburn, it feels like it rips through it a lot faster, and the second half also really shines with the Egyptian trenches and extra inversion. I didn't experience any discomfort or headbanging--not even a rattle--which made this insanely forceful experience still comfortable. 9/10 - keep an eye out for people on the coaster tour standing under the block brake, they let them get surprisingly close to the ride

My favorite B&M invert so far. The first half runs so fast and every element has amazing positives. Diving through the tunnels and pulling up into the inversions never gets old. The batwing is incredible when the trims don't hit too hard but when they really catch the train it does slow down quite a bit from there. The second half is fun diving through the trenches and the final corkscrew has some real strong whip to it.

The first ride was a good surprise and I made it in the last row - definitely the best row to enjoy great sensations - by night, it's great too - Egyptian ambiant ! However, the first row is slower and lack of power in the final part that you can judge so differently this SLC - I loved so much two violent whips in the layout, as if you felt ejected from the machine - I consider it like the brother of Kumba( sister ) in the same park cause they gave me similar sensations and had similarities in the layout ( thinking well cause it's B&M constructor but they made it so well )

My first B&M did not disappoint at all. The speed and sheer intensity was incredible, every single inversion hit it with the intensity. My favorites were the zero g roll which flung into the side the of my restraint, the legendary batwing which had great going into and out of the inversion and the valley which caused me to gray out, and then the corkscrew which came out of and violently whip to the side just a much as Iron Gwazi did. Overall a great looping coaster that I wish I had at my home park.

B&M inverts are one of the best coaster models out there. After the top tier of RMC hybrids, B&M and Intamin hypers/gigas, and Intamin blitz coasters, they are probably my favorite. Of all the inverts out there, few have as great a reputation as Montu. It really is the one that has put B&M inverts on the map more recently because of how many people like it, and that makes me happy. I think Montu actually helped people realize that Batman the Ride clones are really good. But is Montu as great as others say? Well, yes. It is the perfect invert. The intensity is ruthless and brutal but the ride is never uncomfortable. Every inversion is great, but the batwing stands above the rest as a truly insane element. The ride does lose some speed after the midcourse brake run, but it still pulls off two more phenomenal inversions and even a small pop of airtime if you're lucky. The setting also helps this ride, as the subtle theming and several troughs mean you constantly go underground before and even during inversions. Going underground on a roller coaster is incredibly fun and adds to the experience both on and off the ride. All in all, this is definitely one of the best inverted roller coasters, and I'd call it my second favorite. It covers all of the bases and surpasses expectations in every area you'd hope for an invert to excel. An absolute must for current or prospective fans of B&M inverts.

Montu est un inverted avec un excellent layout, intense et long, qui combine un nombre incroyable d'inversions plutôt aériennes avec des chouettes passages au ras du sol dans des "tranchées" à la décoration Égyptienne. On a une belle impression de vitesse et, malgré son âge, profite d'une fluidité quasi sans faille (même si avec les harnais on est jamais entièrement à l'abri d'une petite baffe). La first drop en courbe, sans être la plus impressionnante, est efficace. Il possède un élément de parcours assez rare et intéressant : le batwing. Contrairement au coaster à proprement parler, la théma est assez sobre et ne peut en aucun cas rivaliser avec un certain Oziris dans ce domaine. Le débit peut vite devenir catastrophique s'ils décident de n'utiliser qu'un train, et la gestion de la gare est très chaotique.

Des inversions de partout et une théma égyptienne réussie, surtout les passages dans les tranchées qui sont incroyables au premier rang. Juste le jour où j'y étais ils ont tourné à un train toute la journée en dispatchant toutes les 5 minutes avec 70 minutes de queue, ce qui est complètement scandaleux.

Montu is my personal favorite B&M inverted coaster. The ride is incredibly intense with a long and exciting layout full of terrain interaction and a great variety of G-Forces. The blue and beige color scheme looks great with some beautiful trains. The pathway interaction and large arch gives Montu quite the first impression walking up to the entrance. You go through the loosely themed Egyptian queue line and board. You turn out of the station and onto the lift hill. You drop to the left once you reach the top and go through an intense vertical loop. You enter an immelman loop that is one of the most intense moments of the ride. You go through a whippy zero-g roll that slings you sideways and dives to the ground. You then enter one of the greatest elements of all time, the batwing. This elements whips you hard to the side and crushes you with positive G-Force. You hop up into the mid-course and dive to the right. You go through some low to the ground twists and turns that create a great near-miss interaction. One more vertical loop is thrown in with good positives. You turn to the left and then dive into a trench before traversing a corkscrew that is very whippy. You then turn into the brake run. Montu is a long ride full of intensity and laterals. The location and layout make this the best inverted coaster in the world in my opinion. The ride is special because it just keeps going when it feels like it should be over. I will say there are definitely some days where it is slower and some days where is is unbelievably fast. If you're lucky to get one of those fast days you are going to be crushed into your seat the entire ride.
