this one's just really fun. the first drop on this is 100% the best part, one of the most intimidating drops i've experienced. the rest of the ride is really good, nothing crazy, but the immelmans give you some nice hangtime, and the splash effect is super fun.

Griffon is a BM dive coaster that is one of, if not, the best one in the country. It is located in the France section of the park and the views you get from the top of the lift hill are breathtaking. It has 3 trains of 10 across, so capacity is great. The hangtime and suspense you get before entering the 90 degree drop is intimidating and the inversions are still very smooth. The glide across the water with the jets spraying at the end is a chefs kiss on top of one of the best rides in the park.

What a waste of a coaster of this scale. The size of its trains stunts Griffon, forcing the shaping of the track to be as gradual as possible. The drops pales in comparison to the others in the park, the Immelmanns do absolutely nothing. I genuinely hate this ride, even more so now that I know how awesome a high-intensity, fast-paced dive coaster can be. Iron Menace shits ALL OVER this coaster in every way. The only good thing about Griffon is the view.

Beaucoup de floating, les deux drops, les sorties d’Immelmann, le hill avant le splash, le cul touche rarement le siège. The first drop on this really isn't nearly as bad as it looks from the ground and it is one of the smoothest roller coasters I have ever ridden. The transitions are so smooth and there is so little rattle that it is almost like the train is just floating down the track. My only complaint here is that it would be nice if it was longer.

Barely edges SheiKra as my new favorite B&M dive coaster. The first drop is fantastic in the front row and this is where B&M shines. I can't give dive coasters more than 4 stars though because they tend to meander for the rest of the duration. The second drop is fun but much more shallow and the brake run kills the momentum. This does better because it includes an additional inversion and has a slight height and speed advantage. The one thing I liked more about SheiKra is the setting and theming were a bit better than Griffon. But my biggest regret at BGW was not getting a second ride in the back row. I loved the back row so much at BGT but my stamina was tapped for the day. Pantheon got the rest of my rides for the day, but if Griffon was closer, I would have given it another lap or two. 4/5 stars

That first drop is one of my favorite coaster elements of all time, the feeling of hanging over the drop and seeing everything below you is unmatched, and the airtime you get on it is amazing. After that, it’s still good but doesn’t match up, though you do have a pop of airtime going into the splashdown.

Griffon is the quintessential dive coaster- really good from either first or second row because you kinda hang there staring down at the drop to come before being released. Both the first drop/turn sequence and the slightly smaller second drop are great, I don't think the second drop is pointless or disappointing in comparison to the first. It is not quite long enough and has essentially has only one note throughout, but it does a great job with what its good at (dive). Surprisingly I ended up being more and more satisfied with Griffon as time in the park progressed because it allows the rider to pick and choose exactly which type of thrill/element/coaster they feel like experiencing at the time.

200 foot drop at 90 degrees, it's insane. Before getting to experience other B&M dive coasters, Griffon was the first one, meaning that I didn't have any prior experience to it. Even then, it's still an amazing drop any time. Griffon's drop is enhanced by the lack of vest restraints, which for me can limit the quality of the drop. After this drop, there's a decent Immelmann before going into the midcourse. What follows is a a pretty good drop and another decent Immelmann. The following airtime is underrated in the sense that nobody talks about it. It's pretty good. There's a few more elements, then it goes into the brakes. I wish it had a longer ride, but it still does a lot with the short duration.

This was my first dive coaster...what a thrill. I sat in the third row which definitely reduced the fear factor hanging over the edge of the first drop, but I'll admit it, I was scared nonetheless. The first drop is unbelievable and the Immelmann maneuver coming out of the first hill was also pretty special. Everything after this (aka drop #2) was a more sedated version of seemingly the same thing, but for me, this ride still provided an amazing experience. Great views and placement within the park further enhanced the experience. I know there are a lot of people out there that think the format is tired, but 200+ ft at a 90 degree angle and 70 mph is still a remarkable coaster experience. You just can't convince me otherwise. Griffon was like a home run hitter calling their shot...you knew what was coming and it still delivered.

It's just a drop and an immelmann, then another smaller drop and immelmann then a forceless helix and you're done. Really wish this thing had more going on. Very much a one trick pony.

Maybe it's because I haven't done many other dives, but I do truly love being held over the vertical drop, and though the following layout isn't the most unique it is still loads of fun and buttery smooth. It may not have insane airtime or high intensity but it's just an incredibly enjoyable experience. 9/10 - it's my parents' favorite coaster by far so that might bias my rating a bit

This ride holds a special place in my heart. Being my first dive coaster I could not believe something like this existed! I was lucky as that day I got to ride it 8 times since Busch Gardens was not that busy! That 90 degree drop after hanging for 8 seconds is so intense I can't even explain it. Not to mention if you like smooth rides this thing is beyond elegant! Highly recommend!

I especially love this one and SheiKra for having the old school restraints. The midcourse drop is great, too. I also love the floaty inversions, and there are even some other airtime moments in there, making me prefer it over SheiKra. It is a little short, though.

This is the best dive that I've ridden by a fair amount and probably the best one out there. Both drops gives some awesome sustained ejector, the valleys and Immelmanns are really intense and those flips out of the inversions even give some floater. There are also some surprisingly good ejector pops in the second half to compliment that unique splashdown element. While it is a shorter ride it does what it needs to very well.
