This is a solid, mid-tier B&M looper on par with Medusa at SFGA. I liked the Jojo roll at the start, and the sequence of elements was nice. I had hoped that the airtime hill behind the station had delivered a pop of airtime, but it was very mild. (2×)

In a park full of 8/10 rides, Hydra is definitely the best 8/10. This funky floorless has some really unique inversions compared to others of its model, all of which I found to be intense and fun. There are a couple nice pops of airtime throughout the course to, including a rare straight-drop. The location on the side of a hill is also pretty neat, and not something you see very often. But the star moment is, of course, the jojo roll. Though it's less fun than Copperhead's due to the over-the-shoulder restraints, it's still one of the best inversions in the world, and I'm sad that this never started a trend of their incorporation into more layouts. 8/10 - it's actually hilarious that a ride named Hydra replaced a ride named Hercules

I do commend B&M for doing something new and different, which is awesome, and it’s funky but it just doesnt have forces. Sadly. Also uhhh this ride was pushing 8 min dispatches when i went?? Insanity.

This is a nice layout, but it's hard to enjoy the ride when you're constantly thinking, "How do I position my head to keep my ears from getting slapped?"

Despite the bad rattle the ride may have and some of the dead spots such as the finale with the mini twister section, Hydra still delivers a fun ride experience nonetheless! The inversions really deliver great hangtime, especially the heart-line roll! And the drop delivers a nice pop of ejector airtime if you sit in the back row of the train! Overaall, Hydra is a pretty unique floorless coaster with its unique layout, and fun inversions, and a cool-looking drop!

Hydra is a really whacky floorless but not necessarily in a bad way. The first jojo roll is so unique and the hangtime is wild. The other inversions give a bit of whip and some great hangtime and just feel really odd and different from other b&m loopers. The airtime on the drop was kind of disappointing but the park already has enough great airtime so it’s fine. It’s a very smooth coaster and overall enjoyable for what it is.

After my first ride in the 2nd row, I thought it was a decent ride but nothing too great. My 2nd ride in the back row couldn't have been any more different, though. The drop gave way more ejector and it was more forceful overall. I still prefer Dominator and Bizarro, but this ride is quite slept on. The JoJo roll is great, too.

Hydra is a great coaster that has become my favorite floorless. The jojo roll is a great way to start the ride as it gives fantastic hangtime. The lift starts and into the first drop. This is the only floorless I know of that doesn’t have a pre-drop and I like that. You to straight into the drop where you get some good floater on the way down. Then into a turn that gives some decent positives. The zero-g roll following gives some decent whip and is very smooth. The cobra roll gives great positives and whip and is definitely one of the highlights of the ride. The little floater hill after gives some pop and then into the second half that features some turns with good positives and a whippy corkscrew. Hydra isnt the most intense floorless I’ve done but it’s unique layout and jojo roll push it over the top of the others for me.

Such an underrated B&M Floor less. Amazing layout including 7 inversions and the jojo roll right out off the gate really gets you out of your seat. The first drop I do feel like could be better but the amazing layout pays off for it. Overall really smooth ride even with its slight age. Its definitely one of if not the best coaster at Dorney and is a must do with 3 of your friends or family when you visit Dorney Park.

Quel dommage quand on voit l'originalité du layout avec des inversions et des courbes aux formes très inhabituelles pour un B&M ouvert en 2005. Joli hangtime dans le "jo-jo roll" en sortie de station.
