First Drop Inversions Fun Temps mort

Great first drop, although I think it would be even better without the "hang time" before the drop. Layout is fun with some good inversions and some airtime, but there really isn't any hang time after the first drop. Don't be like me and leave your cell phone in your front pants pocket. The lap bar was not forgiving. The final picture from that crushed phone is posted here.

    Inversions Fun Intensité Inconfort

Very underrated invert. It really whips you around, and the layout is nicely done. It's also very smooth. Its intensity reminds me of Afterburn. I'm surprised this ride doesn't get more love. The only negative was that the intensity on the inversions made my feet really numb.

Bonne suprise ! Fun Layout Débit

One of my favorite spinners. It's very smooth, and it delivers some good moderate thrills.

    First Drop Layout Inconfort

I rode RR for the credit, filled with dread as the train climbed the lift hill. Maybe this will be the first stand-up that does NOT torture my legs. No such luck. The first drop was great, and then the leg aches and calf cramps began during the first loop. The rest of the ride was an endurance test. I had to walk around for about 15 minutes afterward to get my calf muscles to loosen up.

Bonne suprise ! Fun Fluidité Temps mort

For a wooden coaster that opened 100 years ago, I was expecting a pretty shaky experience. Instead, I had a very pleasant ride on a classic woodie that didn't rattle my brain. It also had some half-way decent drops. It's in great shape for its age.

    Inversions Bonne suprise ! Fluidité

Surprised by how much I liked this. This is a really good Schwarzkopf that had me smiling throughout the ride. Unlike Arrow coasters, the loops and curves are actually smooth and fun!

  • Coaster Nut

    Débit Inversions Longueur Temps mort

One of the better floorless coasters I've ridden. It's pretty smooth overall, and it provides some powerful forces in several places.

  • Coaster Nut

First Drop Confort Longueur Temps mort Intensité

The closest I've ever come to blacking out on a coaster. The Gs on the helix were so intense, it took a lot of effort to remain conscious! (Temps of 108 may have had something to do with it, too.) Other than that, it was a good first drop, and the ride was more fun than I expected.

  • Coaster Nut

First Drop Layout Longueur Vibrations Inconfort

The layout is pretty good, and the first drop is intense. After that, though, the rattles and vibration turned some fun elements into little endurance tests.

Confort Launch Fluidité Trop court Temps mort

The launch is fun. Good hangtime on the inversion. My favorite part was the backward launch out of the tunnel. I was expecting the top hat to have much better airtime, and a trim brake takes the energy out of the drop at the end. It's a ride that seems like it should do just a little more.

  • Coaster Nut

    Fun Fluidité Longueur

This was my first RMC Raptor, and it was excellent. My first ride near the front was good, but other rides near the back were awesome, and it's those rides that put this in my top ten. The rear of the train really magnifies the intensity of the elements. Awesome airtimes and twists along with a supersmooth track. A fun and action-packed coaster. Great layout with a nice long ride, too.

    Layout Inconfort

Another Arrow coaster that makes me wish I hadn't ridden it. The layout is good in theory, but the loops are too compact, creating uncomfortable stress on the neck and back. Glad when the ride ended. It's hours later, and my neck is still stiff from one go-around on Viper.

    First Drop Vitesse Intensité Inconfort

I've never been a fan of flying coasters, but this one is definitely the best I've ridden. The layout is really good. However, I found the harness to be uncomfortable throughout most of the ride.

  • Coaster Nut

    Vitesse Layout Ejectors

Another great RMC. I love how you get two rides in one with two intense first drops. Best ride for me was in the back. Crazy ejectors and airtime.

  • Coaster Nut

    Baffes Inversions Inconfort

Not a big fan of boomerangs to begin with, but this one is the worst.

  • Coaster Nut

    Confort Longueur Temps mort

The GCI retracking has made this a smoother ride. It's a nice classic coaster, but it's lacking in the thrill department. I kept waiting for a moment that would make me say "wow," but it never happened.

    Airtimes Launch Fun Trop court

This is a lot of fun. The launch is very good. The ride is just too short. From launch to finish, it's 30 seconds. I really enjoy the ride, and I always feel disappointed at the end because it's all over too quickly.

  • Coaster Nut

    Vibrations Inconfort

My least favorite coaster ever, no contest. They definitely overdid the "mean" part. I've never had a coaster beat me up so badly... black and blue marks on my hip and elbow from being slammed against the side of the car, a strained muscle in my lower back, and a headache that was still with me when I woke up the next morning. I'll always remember what my teenage daughter said when the ride ended: "This thing is evil." Thankfully, RMC came along and turned my least favorite coaster into my #1 coaster.

  • Coaster Nut

    Fun

The operator let me ride this with my daughter because she was scared to ride it without me. I sat in the car behind her, and it was a tight squeeze! Back then it was called the Acme Gravity Powered Roller Ride.

  • Coaster Nut

Fun Fluidité Ejectors Trop court Inconfort

I've always enjoyed the flipping feeling on a free-spinner. That's why one of my favorite non-coaster rides was The Crypt at King's Dominion. It always made me giggle like a little kid, as does this ride. The Knight side gives powerful flips. My preferred seat was going backward at launch because the forward seat could be a bit punishing between the legs. While the shortness of the ride might be a drawback, it's also a benefit because I'm not sure how much more flipping my groin area or stomach could have handled. The Squire side, with less intense flipping, is easier on the tummy and groin for multiple rides.

    First Drop Confort Hangtime Airtimes

Adventureland definitely stepped up its game with this coaster. The beyond-vertical first drop is great, and the inversions are fun, especially the slower ones near the end that give good hangtime. The airtime hills deliver very little airtime, though, which disappointed me. Still, it's an intense ride packed into a small footprint.

  • Coaster Nut

    Inversions Inconfort

My second coaster with a loop. I rode this in summer 1984 right after it opened, and it was a pretty big deal for this small amusement park. It was pretty shaky even back then! I give higher marks than I normally would because I rode it with a close friend from college who passed away several years ago. Sweet memories!

  • Coaster Nut

    Launch Déception !

If you're expecting big thrills, you'll be disappointed. The launch into darkness is the only part that provides a thrill. After that, the ride is pretty tame. We only got to ride it once because it kept breaking down.

  • Coaster Nut

    Confort Fluidité Airtimes

I was impressed with the smoothness of the ride, considering the age of this coaster. Was it a thrilling ride? Not really. It doesn't deliver any airtime, and the drops aren't very exciting. Still, I just enjoyed it because it's a nice, pleasant trip.

  • Coaster Nut

    Launch Fun Hangtime Débit

WT was always a nice diversion when lines were long at other rides. My favorite seat was the back where the hangtime was the best when the train reached the peak of the backward spike. Sorry to see it close!

  • Coaster Nut

Bonne suprise ! Vitesse Layout Lap Bar

One of my top 20 coasters. The second drop is one of my favorite coaster moments - I love that gradual build-up of speed as you descend that hill. Coming out of the ravine, you can really feel the speed of the coaster, particularly on the banked curves. I'd prefer a different lap bar/restraint for the airtime hills near the end, which I found to be just a little too jarring.

  • Coaster Nut

    Inversions Trop court

I rode this in 1987, just a year after it opened in Frontier City. It was a fun, smooth ride back then. The train seems to just creep over the top of the lift hill, and thus the first drop feels really slow. I'm hoping to make it back to OKC to see how well it's aged.

  • Coaster Nut

Layout Baffes Inconfort A raser !

When this first opened, it was one of my favorite coasters. It was smooth for a woodie with a great layout. Back then, I rode it 11 times in one day. However, the years have not been kind to the Boss. It is now horribly uncomfortable with major rattling throughout most of the ride. The 570-degree helix at the end, which used to be awesome, turned into a miserable experience. It was like being in a blender set to "chop." It is no wonder they got rid of the helix in 2018. My last ride on it - and I do mean my LAST ride on it - left me with rattled-brain syndrome and nausea (I very rarely experience nausea on a coaster). It went from one of my favorite coasters to one of my bottom ten. I'd love to see an RMC makeover of the Boss!

  • Coaster Nut

    Inversions Launch Vitesse Trop court

The queue is a nice cool break on a hot summer day. The backward launch always makes me giggle like a little kid. My favorite part is coming out of the tunnel and twisting backward through the top hat. I rode this years ago when it launched forward, and the backward launch was definitely a great way to improve the ride. My favorite ride at SFSL.

  • Coaster Nut

    Fun Layout Trop court

One of my favorite inverts. It never seems to have any lines. Most of the time, I wait less than five minutes to get on it. Anyway, the layout is good, and it has some really intense turns and inversions. It probably has the most and best positive Gs of any invert I've ridden.
