I rode this the day when it opened. The staff knew me and my family and invited me to ride the coaster. I had no idea what I was getting into. I sat in the back (since it was the only row available with the amount of crowds), and once we went down that first drop, I got a stomach drop like none other to the point where I hollered at the top of my lungs! That feeling made me avoid the ride until 3 years later, where I tried again, in the front. It felt less intense than when I was younger, but I still got the intense flojector. It is currently my #4. The Rolling Thunder hill is the best!

When I was a kid, I read DC. Superman was my favourite. The only Marvel I knew were Spider-Man, due to the movie, and the Fantastic Four, due to the HB cartoon on Boomerang. One time, a kid in my school wore a Hulk shirt, and I asked who it was. He told it was the Hulk, and I said, "Never heard of him." There was a Hulk kiddie ride at my local mall, but I only rode it once, because it was in the same area as the Superman kiddie ride I adored so much.
We went down to Disney / Universal in 2006, and at Islands of Adventure, I went on the superhero rides even though I didn't know who half of them were. This was a great ride! Full of twists, turns, and surprises. The surprises being the intense inversions -- of course! The launch was awesome, and the theming in the queue acquainted me more with the Hulk. I wouldn't get into Marvel proper until the Avengers: Endgame hype, though.

We went and the first thing I saw in the queue was Brainiac, my favourite villain!! But he looked like some weirdo in a bodysuit and cape. Even then, that outfit was just SO... lovely.
I remember getting on behind this older boy. Once the seats flipped down, I got kinda scared, but I knew this was FLYING LIKE SUPERMAN and brushed it off. As we ascended the hill, the boy in front of me actually said, "Farewell, Krypton" like Brainiac in Superman TAS!! I was laughing SO hard!! The drop was incredible, and the Pretzel Loop was just as fun. Once we got off, I felt like I had been Supergirl.

Back when I was like 5 years old, Road Runner from Looney Tunes always made me laugh due to his "Meep Meep!" So when okaa-san pointed out this ride, I started laughing so hard and wanted to go on it! They seated me in the very front, since I had a Road Runner stuffy (I don't remember where it came from. Want to say it was the Warner Bros. Studio Store...) and they called me "our star rider!" I was giggling the entire time and going "Meep Meep!" My parents taped it with their camcorder. Hilarious.

But one Fright Fest of 2004, inspired by Cyborg the night prior, I SENT IT!! It turned out to be really fun! The restraints give you great room and secure you in place. IT FELT LIKE I WAS FLYING!! It became my newest darling, and I rode it thru out 2005 and beyond.

Even then, I had my eyes closed for awhile until I developed a coping method for my acrophobia. That being said, I love the launch! There's something about having your brain forcefully ripped from your body that's charming. I don't like the OTSRs, though. I understand NJ is strict about safety after what happened with Action Park (one of my friends who is like in her 50s actually went there), but it kinda ruins the experience.

I remember screaming "WHOO HOO!!" as I felt like I was fucking flying. The intense inversions had me all fired up! I remember when it became Bizarro, I kept joking about Bizarro Santa from Space Ghost, even though I knew who the Bizarro clones were from the comics, Superman TAS, and Super Friends. I think the new Medusa theme's colours are way too Nickelodeon, like Tatsu. Six Flags is Cartoon Network, dolts!

When The Chiller got removed, everyone was sad, myself included. Six Flags Great Adventure then announced The Dark Knight for its next season. I thought it would be a badass ride, looking at the trailers for the movie, but boy, was I wrong. I got there on its grand opening, and while I was enthralled with the movie in the queue (Aaron Eckhart <3), I realized the ride itself was just a cheap ass Crazy Mouse. At least the theming was good for roleplaying (my buds and I would just get together and go nuts), but then they started REMOVING the theming. It's still fun, though. That's what keeps me from hating it.

This was my first looping coaster. I went to Six Flags Great Adventure in April 2002, ready to ride some new rides (I went for a holiday show in 2001, but I don't remember anything about that.) I told my mom the first area I wanted to go to was the "Superhero Rides," since I loved reading DC Comics.
We get there, and I see this ride. I got a bit daunted by the inversions, but since it was Batman, I decided to ride it. I still remember the ride op telling me "Shut your eyes and scream if you're scared." I heeded his advice; I kept my eyes closed thru out the entire thing, but I sang the classic '60s Batman intro instead of screaming. When it was over, I found my new favourite ride, and my new favourite hobby.
This ride has many great forceful inversions, such as that classic Zero-G Roll. The layout is simple, yet effective; it really packs a punch. I don't see anything bad about this ride.
If you are a GP (General Public) and are scared of coasters, then RIDE THIS. It'll get you over your fear.

I rode this ride in July 2003 when I was 7. I thought the name "Zonga" sounded like Swayzak (a villain from Toonami) so I was defo hyped. We got to the place, and I went on Zonga first thing.
The ride was intense, in a good way. The forces during the loops were like none other. I understand that Premier modified the loops, but it felt like I was in the Vomit Comet for those 2 minutes. I effing LOVED it.
I rode it a few more times that day, and I got devastated to hear that it closed in 2005. It still is my #1. Zonga: there's nothing like it.
