Théma Chef d'oeuvre Intensité Trop court
First time trying Oblivion and was super nervous. Being able to stand by the smoky pit on the ground is a nerve-wracking, yet exciting experience in itself, and a good deciding factor in whether or not you want to go on it. The build up to the drop is very exciting, and it's making my heart race just thinking about it after the fact! The drop is of course extremely intense, but as a first time rider, I didn't really mind the shortness or the novelty of it. This was one of the few rides I've been on where I couldn't scream or smile, simply due to how freaked out and overwhelmed I was when in the midst of the drop (the photo of me on it looks like I've literally fainted LOL). It took me a few moments until after the ride was finished to figure out whether or not I liked it. I'm still not sure a week later, and I'm desperate to try it again next year! The mist from the pit in the drop was really refreshing, and makes you feel like you were in a cold sweat from your nerves, adding to the feeling that you just put your body through something wild. I actually love how the theming is very deliberately outdated and almost like the Dance Dance Revolution graphics. Very 90s nightclub and in your face kind of gaudy, which I think they could lean into a bit more. Overall, an insanely exhilarating experience. Hilariously, I can do Oblivion without hesitation, but I've never been able to muster the courage to do Rita (or Stealth at Thorpe Park)!

Théma Confort Fluidité Harnais Intensité
2 stars not because it's a bad ride at all, but because I was just plain terrified all the way through. There was something about being tipped on all fours facing straight down that just pressed all my fear buttons. I was so excited to go on it as I knew about how iconic it was when it was called Air, and I really loved the spacey theming and how it wasn't a theme all about danger and scary things. The theme is upbeat and magical, which I don't think enough UK coasters do, because let's be honest, a theme based on danger and fear is more heart pumping! I'm also slightly heavy, and so my harness had to be clipped down with a bit of force from the operator, which just reinforced my fear of falling straight to the ground. I just couldn't relax into the harness and was gripping on for dear life! Hopefully one day I can conquer my fear for this one, because the smoothness and comfort was undeniably perfect. I really love The Swarm at Thorpe Park, which I'd say is comparable to the flying through the air feeling they go for with Galactica, but I just can't get past that fear of falling to the ground with this one!

Théma Bonne suprise ! Intensité Trop court
Such a scary but funny surprise! Best ridden with someone who knows what's coming, but doesn't tell you in advance. The shuddering drop in the dark is really nerve wracking and exhilarating if you don't know it's coming, and going fast backwards after the drop is just plain fun and exciting. The drop in the dark is this coaster's USP, but funnily enough, if you go on YouTube and lookup Th13teen POV with all the lights on, the drop is comically tiny, which just goes to show how effective the element of surprise in the dark is. The theming is fun, but I think they could go even freakier with it. We got a fast track pass for this one, so we missed out on the Tesla Coil jump scare in the regular queue, which I was grateful for as I'm a jumpy, nervous wreck! Definitely a highlight of the day due to the surprise of the drop, and that sudden ejection right before you pull back into the station is just hilarious. Great little ride, definitely could do worse!

Théma Fun Sans intérêt
Let's be honest, we only go on this ride for the hilariously sarcastic ride operators! It's a good one to start with whilst you wait for the rest of the park to open all of the rides, LOL!

Inversions Longueur Baffes Inconfort
Very glad I left this one for the very end of the day as it left me with a nasty headache on the journey home. I rode it for the first time back in 2017 and it was fantastic and had no discomfort, but then rode it again last year and it was agonising. Such a shame as the loops and constant twists really are fun and unrelenting. Thorpe Park must surely know how painful this ride has gotten, and hopefully a Colossus overhaul and potential reimagining will be their next big project after Hyperia!
