Fun Smoothness Duration

Une montagne russe que j'adore. Impossible de passer à Great Escape sans la faire 3 ou 4 fois au minimum. Selon moi, le tout premier wagon à l'avant est le plus agréable et le plus confortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed my rides on this one. Pretty smooth overall. Preferred the back for the drop and getting yanked down off the turnarounds, particularly the first one, but the front offers good air as well. Some hills don't hit, but plenty of others give floater, and one or two give a brief pop of ejector. The straight speed hill between the first and second turnaround provides the best pop. About 3/4ths up the lift the chain speeds up (because the train behind you just parked in the station, perhaps?), providing a sweet kick in the back row as it almost feels like a mild launch, and then you get thrown over the drop. I found myself thinking it was like Phoenix, but bigger and without the buzz bars that crank up the fun factor.

I was really excited for this because I heard it had great airtime. I was somewhat disappointed in the end but it was still my favorite ride at Great Escape. The airtime isn’t really there on most hills, but I could still appreciate how smooth the ride was for its age. It’s also a long ride which is great.

Comet isn’t the most intense coaster but I found it to be the most interesting ride at Great Escape with its old school steel structure and airtime hills. It’s a bit rough on my back on the low point of each drop so I just brace myself but it’s fairly minor for a wooden coaster. I noticed the lift hill had fresh lumber so I’m giving props to the park for maintaining this well.

Solid old wooden coaster. Nothing particularly stood out but it had a fun layout. Got stopped on the top of the lift hill for about ten minutes before an operator came to tell us the ride will resume. They also said it’s an every day occurrence so I’m assuming this has reliability issues.

Update (7/4): While it wasn’t as good as my first rides, it still game a lot of airtime and was overall still a great ride, just not “perfect”. Original (5/21): This ride is perfect from start to finish. The lap bar was 4 inches off of my lap (I didn’t force that) and the airtime was wild. One moment I felt like I was standing up from the airtime. This ride also has decently good laterals and great drops. The ride also slowly creeps into place in the station which is funny.

Airtimes Fun Rattle

This is a fun ride. It has some good airtime moments & butterflies. It's very rough though, you do have to brace a couple times. It's a solid coaster.
