Un family coaster thématisé sur Walking Dead, en voilà encore une de grande idée. au-delà du fait que la thématisation de ce coaster ne colle pas du tout à son public cible, elle n'est pas très bien exécutée. Ajouté à cela un layout bien planplan et vous obtenez un coaster qui fait effraie les familles et qui ennuie les ados, bien jouer Merlin, vous avez réussi un exploit !

Ce coaster est comme un nanar c’est tellement nul que cela lui donne de l’intérêt. J’ai mis 2 étoiles car, malgré lui il a un aspect quasi-éducatif. Si tu veux savoir ce qu’est un coaster mauvais, vas sur TWDTR (X:no way out pour les anciens), tu verra comment on freine trop un train et comment on tourne sans sensations, aucune. De plus j’ai trouvé la théma nul. Si les morts-vivants marchent, ils seront plus rapides que ton train.

Walking dead est un coaster assez mauvais qui est plutôt porté par son ambiance et sa théma. La partie préshow et la partie maze en entrée et en sortie de ride sont vraiment les highlight de cette machine car autrement walking dead n'est pas très sensationnel ou joli une fois qu'on est dans le train. Ce bâtiment mériterait d’accueillir une meilleure machine plus récente et avec une théma plus immersive.

I'm gonna risk having a huge Efteling-fans-mob knocking my door down and horribly murdering me. I'm sorry, but I'll say it: Walking Dead is better than Vogel Rok. The outdoor queue is simple but efective, the backpack storage system common at some Merlin rides is great, and the preshow is pretty cool as well. The coaster itself is a nice mid-level coaster with *some* theming around. I mean, other indoor coasters, such as Efteling's, are mainly a roller coaster in the pitch dark, with maybe one or two theming pieces around. The Walking Dead has much more. Yeah, it may have plenty of room for improvement, the quality isn't great, but at least there is stuff to look at. Some screens and some other things. And the MCBR has a weird and original effect that really adds some storytelling to the experience. I kinda expected to like this ride more than other people, and yet it positively surprised me. However, I must say it has the potential to be a lot better. The indoor "queue" portion could be heavily improved, as well as the theming on the ride itself, but it's Thorpe Park, after all, not Efteling or Phantasialand. Also, due to its nature and mediocre quality, I don't think it provides much, passed the surprise factor, so maybe not very rerideable. Really worth a ride, though; specially since it rarely has long waits.

Great theming and probably even better when scare actors are there. And I do enjoy the mid track gimmick - however the indoor ride is not strong and the theming in this portion is a bit naff. I would like to see them keep the set up but maybe get a custom ride in, maybe a tracked dark ride instead even. Even just improving the theming around the track with some scares and effects would help horrendously.

Bring back X. The theming is absolutely pointless in Walking Dead. Just a few mannequins, a couple TV screens, long corridors and some ridiculously loud sounds for no reason whatsoever. The pre-show doors are faulty so unless you've been on the ride before many just seem to stand there not knowing what to do. Get X back, a rave is more fun than watching a TV screen.

I like indoor coasters, I loved X to start the day and to just relax on. Well not anymore since the retheming, unfortunately. I try to avoid it maybe riding once to reminisce over our fallen soldier. The queue has now become a glorified hallway often devoid of life (supposed to be actors but usually not there). Theming is actually decent to be fair but the long corridors of doom annoy me.

Whilst the preshow is pretty tacky and useless, the maze of corridors, the set pieces and onride effects all crescendo into an experience much better than most UK enthusiasts believe it to be. With scare actors this stands alongside the other supporting attractions at the resort, and is simply just really fun

J'aurais été agréablement surpris par ce Walking Dead! Même si le coaster en lui-même n'a rien de très spécial, sa théma fait à elle seule le coaster. On a un preshow sympa, puis on rentre dans une partie intérieure qui fait bien monter la pression avant de monter sur le coaster, qui est fun mais sans plus, aidé par les éléments de théma et effets du genre fumée. La sortie, tout comme l'entrée est très réussie

A kiddie coaster themed to zombies might be one of the oddest things in this park. I really don't think it's a good fit. The theming is quite nice. The sounds were too loud tho. Big annoyance that these incredibly small trains have to have two people next to eachother.

L'expérience qu'est walking dead the ride m'a vraiment surpris, je n'avais aucune attente et finalement ce n'est pas si mauvais; Vous commencez par un pré-show qui met déjà une certaine pression, puis vous traversez de très long couloirs, remplis de bruit forts et très angoissant, vous arrivez dans la station, le coaster en lui même est assez anecdotique, mais l'avant et l'après coaster font clairement effet, car en sortant du coaster vous retraversez de nouveaux couloirs, cette fois si pendant plus longtemps, toujours aussi angoissants car vous avez l'impression que des acteurs vont arriver de partout, alors que aucun acteurs n'est dissimulé dans les murs.. je déteste les attractions horrifiques, c'est peut être pour ça que j'ai eu cet effet !

Just rubbish. It's advertised as not just a coaster but an 'experience' — a crap experience. It's supposed to have live actors before and after the coaster, but there were none — just long dark corridors of nothing. The ambient sounds were way too loud, and the beeping horn and car crash noise, particularly, were incredibly annoying. The coaster itself has back pain-inducing hard seating, offers nothing exciting, and fails to improve on the abysmal generic zombie theme. The practical effects are noticeably cheap, making the theming of x no way out's mannequin theming look godly in comparison. Just demolish the thing and build something better with the space.

Contrairement à SAW, je trouve que la théma de TWD est plus parlante même si je n'en suis pas forcément un amateur. Le preshow n'a aucune utilité. Puis le fait dévoluer dans les couloir qui amènent jusqu'à la gare et ceux qui amènent à la sortie est bien bien flippant. On s'attend à des jumscares ou quelques chose comme ça mais au final on a peur de quelques chose qui ne se passe pas, puisqu'il ne se passe rien dans ces couloirs. Le ride et fun et il y a quelques surprises malgré les mannequins cheaps. Après ça reste beaucoup trop court comme coaster. Au final on s'attend presqu'à un train fantôme comme on pourrait trouver en fête foraine avec des acteurs qui viennent nous toucher et nous faire peur mais il n'en est rien.

I'll be honest. I was quite unhappy to see this coaster rethemed to The Walking Dead, seeing as the previous theme X, was a family coaster, quite a baffling decision the say the least. However I do think it's a fun ride for the family, if it was still X. Now the only family coaster there is Flying Fish which can get boring after a while. On a side note I think that there should be a Sonic The Hedgehog Land replacing Angry Birds Land, with 3 new rollercoasters. I just consider the Walking Dead retheme pointless. I wanna see it either rethemed to Crash Bandicoot, or simply back to X.

While The Walking Dead is a fun ride and a pretty good overall experience, the theming of the ride sort of ruins the fact that it is a good family coaster. The theming looks cheap and badly put together, but despite that the preshow and building walk through are a good way to build up suspense. The actors at the end of the ride make it very scary when you leave the building but other than that the ride is a bit of a let down. It tells the story well and I make sure to ride it almost every time I visit Thorpe Park but it still doesn't quite meet the standard. The Walking Dead was definitely better as X and should have stayed that way.

La file d'attente est vraiment nulle, thématisation beaucoup trop simple et la musique n'est pas même celle de la série, on a juste le droit à une version modifiée du main theme. Le préshow n'a aucun intérêt, la suite à marcher dans les couloirs jusqu'au coaster aussi car rien ne se passe. Le coaster est vraiment pas dingue, freinage trop brusque et la théma à l'intérieur aussi. C'est juste "fun". La partie la plus intéressante si je puis dire est en sortant du coaster quand vous vous faites "poursuivre" par des zombies (2 pour ma part), j'aurais préféré qu'ils nous poursuivent jusqu'au bout parce que pour le coup ca ca marche bien.

I like to call this Poundland The Ride. Anyone who's walked through a discount shop's Halloween aisle before will know what I mean. Lots and lots of tacky zombies dotted around, some not-so-special effects, and the 3 zombies in cages on the final brakes are particularly comical. Add to that the preshow which kills the capacity of the ride, very boring 10 mile walk from the preshow to the station, the equally long exit corridor, and the fact I don't care for the presence of scare actors, and it's safe to say I'm not a fan of the theme. It's a shame because I really enjoy the actual coaster, really smooth, some nicely paced turns, and I love the effect where the train stalls and appears to need restarting, that's very clever. I can only imagine how enjoyable it was as X, and how enjoyable it would be with an Imascore EDM soundtrack and a load of lasers and strobes, and the return of the corridors to the queue line they were designed to be. But unfortunately as long as it carries the WD theme it'll just remain Poundland The Ride to me
