Inversions Launch Intensity Too short Harness Discomfort
Coming here for the Ride to Happiness and having this coaster as an additional credit, I was very surprised when riding it. To start, the launch is nothing like I have felt before, absolutely bonkers! The rise up after that can be a little uncomfortable, especially in the back row, but the airtime on the tophat is insane and makes up for it. Then layout following, featuring inversions, airtime/lateral moments and mostly positive g-forces have led me to my decision that Anubis the Ride is actually more intense than the Ride to Happiness.

Airtimes Launch Ejectors
My second favorite coaster in the park! very intense launch, very good layout with plenty of intense element.

Nice surprise! Launch Too short Harness
Hij is wel wat kort en de over de sholder beuge is echt oncomfortabel! De launch daarentegen was wel leuk en de tophat wqs ook lekker intens!

Launch Intensity Hangtime Harness
Updated Review September 2024: I got two rides, each one being smooth (except at the end of the launch track) and intense. The top hat has nice airtime, especially in the front row, the dive loop has intense positive G forces, you get some nice airtime afterwards, and the immelmann has good G force. The final roll has a bit of hangtime as well. Of course the highlight is the intense launch Just lean forwards and you'll avoid the headbanging. Old review [OUTDATED]: This layout feels relentless. It's got the perfect mix of intensity for its length, the launch is incredbly forceful and that top hat delivers excellent airtime. The pullouts and inversions are also quite intense. The hangtime filled barrel roll at the end also feels like the perfect way to end the ride, but those restraints are awful for that layout. A layout that intense and fast-paced just doesn't work with these trains. The launch is amazing but the train turns into a shopping trolley at the end of it. Seriously, the rattle banged my head pretty hard. It's not as bad afterwards but it's just there and can hit your ears against the restraints. Update July 2024 [OUTDATED]: I don't know what to say other than it ran even rougher than it did in December 2023. A 15 year old coaster should not track like this. It felt like an old Vekoma with only slightly better transitions. While the tracking would not give you a headache on its own, the restraints will. They are bulky and have minimal padding. I love the launch for its power, but I hate the rattle that will jerk your head from side to side at the end of it. I love the top hat's airtime in the front going up or on the drop in the back. I love the intensity of the elements of the first half, but hate that you have to brace for the headbanging. I have no complaints about the second half as it is slower than the first and the hangtime at the end is excellent. The theming is also really detailed and well made. It's just the roughness and headbanging that make the experience somewhat sub-par. This is why I rank Goudurix way above Anubis, controversial I know, but I find Goudurix's padding helps prepare for the headbanging and stops your head from moving. Heck, give me slightly boring coasters like Xpress at Walibi Holland over Anubis. I'd even take Indiana Jones at DLP over Anubis.

Launch Fun Ejectors Theming Dead spots
Very bizarre theming, the queue is quite dirty and the taxidermied animals are kinda gross. I'm surprised this ride isn't haunted. The coaster itself is pretty good though and deserves more love, and even though it sizzles out in the second half, the launch is intense and you get quite a bit of airtime in the beginning

First Drop Launch Too short Capacity Dead spots
Fun launch and the first top hat it fun. However the launch is not on the same level as Intamin blitz coasters or the likes of Stealth. After the top hat I honestly found it a bit lacking in forces and didn't really enjoy the latter half. Operations were atrocious on my visit which didn't help with the long queue.
-
Airtimes First Drop Launch
Very good. Super cool near vertical launch and very steep first drop.
-
Nice surprise! Fun Layout Headbanging
What a surprise, if you vistit this park you only think of one thing and that is RTH. When I saw this I thought it was nothing special so I had low expectations. The queue looks good and when I sat down I expected to stop before the launch, but you get instantly launched and you really get pushed in your seat because of the strenght of the launch. The layout was also very good and my only problem was that you have some headbanging after the launch.
-
Launch Fun Headbanging
My 3rd favorite coaster at the park. I enjoyed Heidi a lot more. This coaster could be very rough and headache inducing, and in some points the positive Gs are a bit too heavy.
-
Airtimes Launch Hangtime
A very good themed queue for a masterpiece of a coaster. Very strong launch, followed by a Top Hat with a lot of airtime. Smooth everywhere and hangtime in the last barrel roll. Love this coaster.
-
Airtimes Inversions Launch Headbanging Harness
Fun layout with some really good airtimes and inversions. The harness bangs your neck or head, depending on your height.
-
Inversions Launch Capacity
One of the most intense launches in Europe, it feels as fast (if not even faster) as Desert Race, Novgorod or Rita for example. The Layout is a little short but it really packs cool Elements like a steep tophat, a whippy dive loop and a long drawn out inline twist. Underrated!
-
Inversions Launch
This ride really packs a punch. The launch is one of the most forceful I´ve experienced and the top hat gave some nice airtime. The inversions are also all very fun. I understand the complaint about the harness if you´re a bigger person, but I had no problems with it
-
Launch Fun Smoothness Capacity
I have such a soft spot for the ride purely because of how much it took me for suprise. Firstly the launch is out of this world definitely the punchiest I’ve felt yet, you get some great airtime as you fly over that top hat, then the rest of the layout is no means intense more just fun… and for a gerstlauer, this ride is really really smooth. Only let down is capacity, queues can be very very slow due to small cars and only two in operation.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Harness
This ride is a very fun experience, that launch is incredibly punchy and you most definitely do not see it coming. This ride never ceased to suprise me every time I went on it. Solid choice for plopsaland
-
Nice surprise! Launch Fun Harness Pointless
The first launch is great. The rest of the ride is kind of pointless though. I hate the restraints in front but in the back they're alright because of the space you've got between the seats. Just like Heidi it's another ride for the younger coaster enthusiasts.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Fun Rattle Headbanging
What a pleasant surprise, really enjoyed this one. Some moderate discomfort for short periods but wow that launch never gets old, especially going in blind on the first run.
-
Launch Pace Headbanging Discomfort
Harness really pushed down harder and harder during the ride and that made it really uncomfortable to the point i just wanted off. Great launch tho.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Fun Rattle Headbanging
This became so underrated since RTH came to the park, let us not forget this ride and how strong that ride actually is.
-
First Drop Launch Layout
This is a great coaster. For years it was the best in Plopsaland. Now they have Ride to Happiness, which is even better. But this is still a solid ride!
-
Launch Intensity Layout Rattle
Anubis is a super underrated coaster, this thing is excellent with a really snappy launch which takes you properly by surprise every time. It shoots you off into a fairly short but really fun layout with some excellent moments of airtime on the top hats and several great sections of intensity. For a Gerstlauer that is getting on a bit now, it runs pretty smooth, the back row can be a bit brutal in a few places but the front is much better, and the middle is really smooth, very enjoyable. An excellent coaster, and don't sleep on it when you come to plopsaland!
-
Nice surprise! Launch Fun
I was caught off guard by the launch as I didn't expect it to be that powerful! But it was amazing

Theming Fun Intensity Harness Discomfort
this coaster feels super reminiscent of saw, a rollercoaster that i adore already, so i think by virtue it's safe to say i love it. except instead of the horrifying vertical lift we all love, it's replaced by an absolutely ridiculously intense launch. i haven't ridden many launch coasters, but considering i've ridden stealth, which now has the fastest launch acceleration on any operating rollercoaster, i think it's my place to say that for sure. the queue is also beautiful, i can't say i've watched the show it's themed after, but it's definitely got the mysterious vibe it's looking for. as much as i love the intensity and pace of this ride however, it ends up having similar shortcomings to other eurofighters (i know it's *technically* not a eurofighter but it's still a gerst so...). most notably, the restraints kinda suck. i personally didn't find this coaster as rough or rattly as saw, but the restraint got pushed down way too hard during my second ride which hurt plenty. i would recommend the front a lot more than the back, i found my front-row ride a lot more comfortable. overall though? it's a real neat ride. still can't get over how sudden the launch is, it's hilarious.
-
Launch Intensity Capacity Discomfort
Insanely instance for an coaster at Plopsaland but the capacity and discomfort of the restraint ruined it a bit for me.
-
Theming Inversions Launch Headbanging Too short Discomfort
Anubis is a very solid launch coaster, with exceptional theming in the queue line and a very strong launch typical of Gerstlauer. There is a lot of headbanging though, especially on some of the inversions and the pull-up into the top hat after the launch is extremely jarring. It could also be longer, but I guess that didn't scare SFoG away from cloning it.
-
Theming Launch Smoothness Harness
The launch feels like a slingshot, you pick a lot of speed up in such a short amount of time which makes for a really fun start to the ride. Everything until the trim break is fast and whippy, with one element that took me by surprise. The house the station resides in is really cool and Anubis is surprisingly smooth, but is let down by nasty over the shoulder restraints that despite it's smoothness, caused a lot of discomfort for the people i went with who experienced headbanging and shoulder pain. everything after the trim break is pointless and slow, and the final roll only there to cause more discomfort for people that are on the shorter side.

Inversions Intensity Layout Headbanging Harness
This ride has a monster of a launch, I didn't expect it to be so intense, and it's followed by a steep climbing and an interesting layout. It rattles a bit, but this is not what I dislike the most. The restraints are not adapted to the layout, and if you are not aware of where to brace in order to save your head from the slaps, your head will bang. You can hardly avoid them unless you are 2 meters tall. I rode it three times, once at the front, twice at the back, and it doesn't make a noticeable difference. I liked it though, and the dispatch was efficient. I liked the design of the trains, and the pace was really good. Overall, I liked it.
-
Launch Fun Too short Harness
Good coaster, very underrated. The launch is super good but the layout is too short and it needs lapbar restraints.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Intensity Rattle Discomfort
Really like this in the front, however, slightly shaky in the back row 8/10 still very good
-
Airtimes Launch Smoothness Capacity Dead spots
This ride is somehow really smooth, filled with airtime and the OTSRs are not annoying at all.
-
Launch Disappointing! Pointless
The launch is quite nice, but the overall design is disappointing and is no fun to ride. Families with small children should enjoy it, though.
-
Theming Launch Layout Harness Discomfort Lap Bar
It wasn't the most comfortable ride, but the layout was super good and fun! And the theming was so good. Especially because I used to watch Anubis on TV a lot!
-
First Drop Nice surprise! Layout Too short
Found it quite smooth - not a huge fan of gerstlauers but this was more my kind of thing. Launch is VERY unexpectedly snappy and I kind of wish I'd gotten into a better position for it the first time as it kind of hurt - but after that it was a fun, short ride with cool inversions and a nice fluid layout.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Smoothness
What an unexpected powerful launch, with some great ejector at that first tophat and some nice punchy inversions. Great theming in the queue, too! With some old pics of a show from my childhood. Someone with a longer body than me might have some issues with OTS restraints, but I had no issues.
-
Launch Pace Intensity Rattle Harness Discomfort
Anubis is a really good ride that’s now been completely overshadowed with RTH in the same park. Much like Lynet at Fårup Sommerland, Anubis starts out with a punchy launch into a top hat, followed by some inversions and turns. I prefer this ride for one main reason: the forces. While the restraints are annoying and there’s a noticeable rattle in certain spots, Anubis features moments of extreme positive and negative gs. The pull up into the top hat is a sharp but crazy moment of ejector (-1.3 gs in the front row) and lots of the valleys are really intense (4.3 gs). The ride does meander a bit in the middle, but the forces are always there, and Anubis ends very well with a hangtime filled roll into the brakes.
-
Airtimes Launch Smoothness Dead spots
Fantastic launch with great ejectors on the top hat, and cool layout but slows down a bit after the midcourse with a very drawn out hill that could've been a bit sharper, but good ride nonetheless.
-
Airtimes Launch Hangtime Dead spots Layout
Anubis starts out amazing. The launch is probably the best launch I've experienced so far, it accelerates super fast. Immediately after follows a tophat which gives some great airtime. But unfortunately, this is where Anubis kinda dies off. The rest of the layout doesn't do much and the midcourse noticeably slows you down, which is a shame for this rides pacing. Anubis does end with a bang though, with a heartline roll which gives some great hangtime. Overall, really fun coaster with some great elements, unfortunately the middle of the ride could've been better.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Fun Rattle Dead spots
After ride to happiness opened this coaster was overshadowed. The launch is so fast that it surprises me every time I experience it definitely the most underrated launch! There is a very bad rattle going up the top hat but the rest of the ride is smooth. Amazing hangtime on the heartline roll and strong ejector on the top hat!
-
Launch Ejectors Hangtime Too short
Such an underrated ride, it exceeded expectations. I already knew the launch was powerful, but wow, what a punch. I may even dare to say this is the best magnetic launch I've experienced (i.e., it's better than Taron's). And then the top hat, providing a strong and sustaind ejector. The dive loop has some decent whip and it's fun. The other top hat and immelman don't provide much, though, and neither do the turns after the MCBR. However, it's all enjoyable and has some great pace. Besides, there's one final element yet: the wonderful heartline roll, which gives fantastic hangtime. Unfortunately, the ride feels quite short, but it is very complete, even with some good theming in the queue and station building. Many complain about the harness and discomfort, but I disagree: these are some of the best OTSR out there, providing some room for hands-up and airtime, with decent trains, which have enough leg-room. I personally didn't experience any serious rattle or headbanging. Overall, Anubis was certainly Belgium's best until the epic year of 2021; it definetely beats Fury at Bobbejaanland.

First Drop Launch Layout Rattle Headbanging Capacity
A good ride but rode it whilst covid restrictions were in place, so each car was limited to 4 people, instead of the 6 it would normally have. Firstly, the launch was very snappy, and quite a surprise if you didn’t know about it, but still very good. The top hat was great fun, and you really felt as if you were going to get flung out of your seat on the way down, so some good ejector airtime. The inversions that followed were fun, but nothing special, and after the mid-course brakes there wasn’t really much happening, other than a good barrel roll before the final brake run. The station and queue line were very well themed, but I didn’t see them properly because of the restrictions. Unfortunately, I had to rank this lower than it should be because it gave me a headache, but it’s still a good coaster, and quite fun.

Inversions Launch Intensity Rattle
This ride is criminally underrated, how is nobody talking about this ride? It features an incredibly powerful LSM Launch and an intense Short but Sweet Layout and 2 awesome Top hats. The first Top-Hat features some great Airtime while the 2nd one gives great laterals. It also has good theming and the re-creation of the House Anubis looks pretty close to the original. The ride however has a pretty bad Jackhammering moment when you go up the first top hat, everything else is butter smooth through. What a nice surprise that was.
-
Launch Fun Intensity
Wow, I was surprised with the instensity of the launch and also with how comfortable the train was. I have ridden the one in Belantis and I have to say that Anubis is much better. I am sad that I rode it in the rain and could not get the potential from this coaster.
-
Nice surprise! Launch Layout Discomfort
This one was a pleasant surprise to us: First of all, the launch packs a great punch and the top hat provided a nice pop of airtime. But the rest of the compact layout was also interesting with many cool elements - when warmed up, this coaster has a great pacing. The cars might be a little cramped, especially for the arms and the smoothness depends on the car or seat, I had four rides on this coaster ranging from "glossy smooth" to "a bit bumpy" - but all together, nothing too dramatic. Due to the younger target audience of Plopsaland, lines for Anubis are usually not very long, despite the low capacity!
-
Launch Fun
Definitely an underrated coaster. Great fun, horroble queue especially during covid. The launch is superb and the layout is fun.
-
Inversions Launch Smoothness Capacity
This ride has become so smooth since they had to renovate a bunch of stuff during the 2020-2021 offseason. It runs smoother then multiple coasters that are 10 years younger then this. The launch got even more forceful then past seasons. Highly underrated coaster.
-
Capacity Nice surprise! Intensity
This was better and more intense then I thought! The launch caught me completely off guard and the layout was very good.

-
Nice surprise! Launch Fun Rattle Too short
The launch is soooo powerful, that fraction of a second, it's like you haven't lived that moment, I can't describe it... All of a sudden your on the top hat without realizing it! It is quite intense, but it does rattle a little. But you know what, it is what it is. It's perfect for the park it's in, a park mainly for children, so you'll never wait too long to re ride this. It's a very pretty park, it is worth the visit. There are a lot of other fun things to do in this park. And the beach is nearby!
-
Launch Intensity Hangtime Too short Capacity
The best ride in belgium. I love this ride.
-
First Drop Theming Launch Rattle
This is without a doubt one of the best rides i ever did in Belgium! It would be even better without the Rattle after the launch.
-
Launch Hangtime Rattle Dead spots
This ride is pretty good, the launch is VERY powerful and you get decent airtime on the Top Hat (the over-the-shoulder restraints kind of screw it up) The part between the Top Hat and the mid-course brake run is pretty fun. After the mid course brake run it's just some turns and then a very great corkscrew with good hangtime. There's a pretty bearable rattle troughout the whole ride but there's also a rough spot just before the Immelman.
-
Theming Launch Rattle
Nice queue line and station building. The launch and inversions are fun, but a bit rattly in places.
-
Launch Rattle Discomfort
The launch and following Top Hat are quite exciting. Everything else is either dull, rattly or poorly banked in my opinion.
