Theming Smoothness Hangtime Too short
I was one of the first people to ride this back in 2012. It's quite short but definitely fun.
-
First Drop Lap Bar Dead spots
the first drop and the inversions are good and has great head choppers
-
Smoothness Harness Disappointing! Dead spots
I always suggest skipping this boring ride when I go to Great America. I always find the harnesses to be way too tight and the train just crawls through the layout.
-
Capacity Inversions Duration Dead spots
Very good, love the near miss and some of the forces are great.

-
Inversions Nice surprise! Dead spots
It's not my favorite Wing coaster but it's still a smooth I love the inversions the first drop is great you get hang time and near miss greatness that I look for on these rides X - flight delivered
-
Pace Fun Smoothness Too short
Another Great America ride that’s just too short! It’s probably the smoothest ride in the park and just so fun. It could use another huge drop and about double the length but otherwise it’s perfect!
-
Theming Smoothness Layout
I remember riding this with my dad at night on my first visit to SFGAM in summer 2012 when it first opened! Was unlike any thrill ride that I've seen at the time. No wonder CP would end up getting their wing coaster (GateKeeper) the following year.
-
First Drop Theming Fun Too short
One of my favorite coaster to ride. Havent rode this in a few years now but id love to ride it again soon.
-
Inversions Harness Smoothness Too short
I love this ride once I went on it I couldn't stop, I knew this would be my favorite ride at the park. the harness is so comfortable I love the shoulder straps so much. the inversions are alo so fun. also it is the most smooth ride I have ever been on.I fell like it should be a bit longer because it ends too quickly. also the ride isn't really intense and not the biggest pump of adrenaline but still this ride is one of the best.
-
First Drop Fun Hangtime Harness
This would have been my favorite ride at great America if it weren’t for the harness making the ride so uncomfortable
-
Inversions Smoothness Layout Too short
A great addition for Great America. Maybe it's because I'm tall, but the harness does not bother me at all, making for a comfortable ride experience.
-
Inversions Hangtime Rattle
Really fun layout. The inversions were taken slow enough to provide some hang time which was unexpected. The outside seat was pretty shaky.
-
Inversions Rattle Disappointing! Discomfort
Not a huge wing coaster fan, other than thunderbird holiday world, and this one is meh as well. Noticeable rattle made the ride a bit uncomfortable as well.
-
Theming Inversions
Definitely ride in the front row! I have been on this coaster countless times, and I've always ridden towards the back. The experience is mediocre and the scenery doesn't feel close at all. On my last visit I rode in the front and the forces felt way stronger and I actually felt like I was gonna hit the tower. It's a solid ride.

First Drop Fun Layout Rattle
A very solid wing coaster and a great addition to the park. I've only ever ridden on the left side but I think the first drop is a bit underrated. The reason I pick left is because that first drop starts so slow but flips you up compared to the right side flipping you down and the first drop feels way more intense than you would think for a 120 ft. tall coaster. The rest of the ride is still really fun and I love the layout of this one. It's not as intense as a Batman ride but even small elements like the slow barrel roll near misses through tunnels and keyholes make me nervous every single time. The downside is there can be a bit of a rattle. I've ridden it plenty of times without noticing but my "review" ride definitely had some shaking and rattling, unfortunately. It did not make the ride horrible but I would have liked it to be a bit more smooth compared to rides past. 3.5/5 stars

Intensity Smoothness Hangtime Harness
First wing coaster did not disappoint. Not what i expected though.
-
Inversions Pace Layout
a great wing rider, loved the inversions, and the layout was great. You just weave through the elements. would ride again.
-
Lap Bar Nice surprise! Fun Discomfort
This ride is so fun but it's getting more shakey
-
Theming Hangtime Harness
The near-misses are great and there is some nice hangtime. I am just not a fan of the vest restraints.
-
Inversions Fun Smoothness Layout
Solid wing coaster with some nice positives and inversions, especially that in-line twist is amazing. This one does pale a little in comparison with other wing coasters I've ridden though, X-Flight just doesn't provide the fun and forces of Fēnix and Flug der Dämonen.
-
Inversions Intensity Smoothness Too short Harness
I love X-Flight. It is butter smooth and the inversions are some of the best out there. The only downside is that the harness can slightly hurt your collarbone and the ride is too short.
-
Capacity Hangtime Harness Discomfort
This ride is a great wing coaster with solid intensity, great near miss moments, and nice theming. However, depending on the row you are in, the vest restraint can staple your torso on the valley of the wingover drop. That being said, I would highly recommend a close to front row ride on this
-
Capacity Comfort Smoothness
X-Flight was very difficult for me to rate. Without a doubt it is the smoothest, most efficiently operated & most comfortable ride in the park. However, nothing is really extraordinary on it. The experience is great, but you're not gonna end your day at SFGAm remembering your X-Flight experience particularly. It is outshined by its neighboring coasters, despite being a very solid B&M wing coaster. I recommend going on it once or twice, however there's no denying you're bound to get more intensity & fun on other rides.

Harness Smoothness
Great coaster. Loved the first drop + the spin you do beforehand. Good pace + comfortable restraints.
-
Theming Comfort Fun Intensity
A rather graceful wing coaster which swoops through its course but it's near miss element is not as interesting as the swarms and the intensity is limited to the first drop around slow barrel roll which are par the course of a wing coaster
-
Inversions Intensity
This was my first wing coaster, and damn what a great introduction to this model. wing coasters pull some great forces. It's not as good as gatekeeper but I loved this ride when I got on.
-
Theming Inversions Smoothness Harness Discomfort
The line is super long. It's an okay wing coaster, but it is pretty short and slow. Still love it tho
-
Theming Inversions Layout
This is one of the only roller coasters at Six Flags Great America that any effort went into theming, and it's actually quite well themed. The control tower actually was a real control tower. This has all of the inversions and near misses one could want on a wing coaster. The pacing is good, and the elements are taken back to back with no dead spots.
-
Theming Inversions Pace Harness
These are absolutely the tightest vests I've yet ridden on a B&M, and they ruin what would otherwise be one of the best Wing coasters in the world. Aside from that, the onride theming is top notch, the inversions have excellent hangtime, and the pacing is consistent without any dead spots. It just needs Yukon Striker's vests instead.
-
Inversions Smoothness Layout Intensity
This is probably the smoothest B&M I’ve ever ridden. Wing coasters are a unique animal, and X-Flight has made me fall in love with them. It has an excellent layout that it takes its time getting through with that excellent wingover drop, some large inversions, and a great sequence of near-miss elements. It isn’t as forceful as some of B&M’s other models, but I love the smoothness and unique feel of the ride enough that it gets a higher spot on my list.
-
Theming Inversions Smoothness
Not a whole lot to this one, but the near miss elements are incredible and salvage a mediocre ride.
-
First Drop Inversions Hangtime Rattle Harness
The overall ride experience is very mixed for this one. On one end, you have a great first drop and inversions, especially the last in-line twist through the control tower that gives great hang-time. On the other hand, this ride has a pretty notorious rattle (whenever I go, that is) and the restraints can be a pain in the ass, especially on humid days. However, I give this ride a 4 stars due to sentimental reasons (this was the first B&M I rode) and the layout is one of the better layouts for a B&M Wing, especially with how compact it is.
