Pour moi c'est le chef d'œuvre ultime B&M Invert. Il a absolument tout, structure imposante, grosse hauteur, cadre exceptionnel, interaction avec le terrain parfaite, first drop interminable, vitesse de malade, inversions de folies, bonne intensité, layout super solide. Un de mes plus gros coup de cœur coasterien. Le train qui ralentit à la fin ne me dérange pas au contraire je trouve ça génial. Le meilleur inverted de la planète!

Alpengeist is easily one of the best inverted coasters in the world. It’s almost a hyper coaster and even reaches speeds of one. And, all the way up to the midcourse, it traverses one of the most intense layouts on any roller coaster ever. After the absolutely massive drop you go through an immelmann and a loop, which surprisingly aren’t that whippy but very heavy on positives. Then, the cobra roll, which is possibly the whippiest element of all time (in the best way possible). Unfortunately, the ride hits a midcourse, which saps almost all the speed this ride had. The second half is still great with 2 fun inversions but nothing compared to the monstrous first half. Still one of the best inverts out there, but it’s not as good as it could be due to the slower second half.

The ride is basically the I305 of inverts. The intensity of the first half is mind blowing! The trains ran smooth and fast. The drop was great and the cobra roll was the best I've experienced! The first half of the ride made my legs go numb from all the g force. That's what I like to feel from a coaster! Favorite invert by the way.

The snap into the cobra roll is crazy. The scale is monstrous and insane to think it's only 10 feet shorter than Griffon. The positives in the back are crazy and it yanks you through those first four elements.

this thing is insane. the scale of it is absolutely bonkers, even though it isn't close to being a hyper, it honestly feels taller than apollo's chariot. the first drop might be the best drop i've experienced on an in invert. the inversions are really damn intense (especially the cobra roll, which might be the best cobra roll out there). however, there are definitely some issues to it. first of all, the second half runs a lot slower than the first. results in some good hangtime on the corkscrew, but still, way too slow. second, this thing has a nasty rattle. it isn't the worst rattle i've experienced on a B&M (firebird at six flags america exists), but it is enough to make me have a little bit of a headache once i get off the ride. but outside of that, this ride is amazing, and its one of the best inverts i've been on.

Alpengeist is an intense suspended coaster with great pacing and inversions located in the Germany section. It is winter themed and the station is like that of a ski hut. The loops, twists, rolls and other features make this a great re-ride, especially because it doesn’t get that crowded. The train really keeps its pace from start to finish. A complaint I have is that the cars are very close together and you can’t see anything unless you get in the front row.

This ride absolutely excels in the intensity department; between a good first drop, six outstanding inversions, and great pacing, there really is not much to complain about here. Be prepared for the upwards cobra roll, as the transition coming out of it is very aggressive and can hurt if you’re not ready for it. Otherwise, it’s a very smooth ride and one that packs a great punch!

Une drop twister où l'on sent l'intensité et la vitesse montée en puissance avec une superbe pacing dans les inversions en début de parcours. Mais l'apogée arrive avec ce cobra roll extrêmement violent que ça soit son intensité et son whip indécent ! Le train s'en va dans la mid break et casse fortement la vitesse du coaster. La 2ème partie est plus soft avec 2 inversions et une helix sympathique, mais souffre de la comparaison avec la 1er partie qu'est la meilleure partie toute inverts confondu. Mention spéciale aux lieux et au cadre exceptionnel !

Tout simplement un monstre de puissance surtout lors des nocturnes d'été avec des températures caniculaire. Sur les coups de 22h le soir, le Cobra Roll devient dantesque avec des effets de basculements très intense ayant pour effet de donner des "fourmis" dans les pieds ! Mention spéciale au cadre magnifique avec cette impression d'implantation dans une vallée.

However, if you get the bad train, it’s AWFUL. That train tracks poorly, violently rattles, and causes headbanging (not helped by the minimally padded OTSRs).

The Immelman and the vertical Loop are the best elements of the ride. That cobra roll, oh man! Hold on tight because your ears are going to get boxed! The mid-course break run is relieving, I wouldn't survive the next few twists going too fast. That first drop though, wow it's just fast! This is a amazing dark ride in the front. If you go to Busch, you are not allowed to ride this in the front for the first time in the day. You must do it at night. Because I rode it at night, in the front, the first time riding an invert. To sum it up, it feels like someone is giving you a big bear hug and throughing you around everywhere.

My new favorite B&M invert! I did not expect this to be as good as it is. I've always heard the brake run kills the momentum and to a certain extent it was missing that solid 2nd half but I don't think the brake run/2nd half is terrible either. The first half is incredible and I'll put it against any B&M invert I've ridden. The first drop is nearly the best I've ridden but Afterburn is hard to compare. It feels like the inverted version of Fury 325 where the first drop lasts forever. The intensity is also pretty amazing, given the speed you can get from such a large lift hill. Capacity is always a plus on these things so there is never a long wait (even in the front row for me). 4.5/5 stars

This coaster is the definition of trying to have every drop of blood at your feet. The inversions are all taken at a great pace and give great positive g's. I've heard complaints about the headbanging & snappiness but I'd say you would just need to keep your head forward to ease out the headbanging. I will say though because of its age it has developed a slight rattle, but it isn't too bad. Overall, this is one of the greatest inverts on the East Coast.

Whoever thought of a nearly 200 foot tall B&M invert is a madman, but the result is great. The first drop gradually develops speed until entering an immelmann and a vertical loop that aren't too intense. The cobra roll that follows is insane. Some turns lead into the midcourse. After the midcourse is a pretty good zero-g roll and a corkscrew that I find to be pretty intense. A semi-intense helix leads to the end of the right. It's definitely one of the better B&M Inverts, but that's what happens when a B&M Invert is to this scale.

This was my 4th B&M Invert of the summer after Raptor, Afterburn, and a Batman clone. I must say, I really liked it despite the novelty being a bit worn out. The setting, theming and views were much better than the other rides (2 of 3 look out over a parking lot) and Alpengeist had just a little bit more speed, height, intensity. Yes, it runs out of energy at the very end, but I don't need a coaster to come flying into the station to be considered a good ride. Unlike the other B&M invert rides, where I ironically preferred the front despite the poor views, I found the back to be where it was at on Alpengeist.
