I've seen some people saying they prefer the MCBR-less dives as they're better paced (and that Emperor is the best Dive in the US), but I have to disagree. I liked SheiKra much better because it at least has two killer drops whereas this only has one, which is great might I add, but it pales in comparison to SheiKra, and the inversions are very fun (albeit nothing spectacular), but it just leaves a "aw that's all" feeling, even moreso than SheiKra, I found, as that still fulfills you more with the drops. Still a great ride, of course, but the ethos of the B&M Dive prevents it from being much more than that.

Emperor is (in my opinion) the inferior dive of SoCal. I did enjoy Hangtime at Knott's more but that doesn't mean this ride isn't good. It has great moments of hangtime in the inversions and pulls pretty good forces. My only problem is how short it is. I really wish it was a longer ride because by the time you get off, you need to get on a second time or else you won't be satisfied. It is a pretty fun ride and is my personal favorite in the park.

This was my most aniticipsted ride of all time for a while since I view it everyday from my work and when I commute there, and everyone I know had ridden it except me. After 6 years of not going to sea world, it was fun to be back. Honestly, this ride I expected to pack way more of a punch. I’ve heard it’s the snappiest dive out there, and if it’s true that sets a low bar. Drop has good floater but the rest of the ride is comically graceful, with no forces to be seen. It’s still very marathonable and fun though, rode it 6 times, in 2 sets of 3. Shoutout to the ops who let me ride 3 times even though park policy is 2 without leaving your seat. Amazing view from up top too of Americas finest city. Not the punch I was expecting, but graceful rides are never a bad time.

This was my first dive coaster and I kinda got what i expected. I rode in the back on my first ride and thought it was just ok, than i rode it in the front and it was much better. The front really makes a difference. I thought that the first drop was pretty sweet and the inversions were pretty intense. I only thought it was too short and lacked theme for a park called SeaWorld.

Not the best in the park, but it’s still good. The first drop is good in any row, although the most forceful experience would have to be in the back edge seats. The inversions are all great, but the second is the most noticeable, especially on the edge seats. The pace that you fly through the course is literally breath-taking. You speed into the brakes. There is also NEVER a line because of the row capacity. The biggest downside is the theming. There is NOTHING. The restraints are ok, but be sure that there isn’t a gap between your legs and the restraint or else it will come down HARD! Last con: the rattle. It’s not really noticeable in the front and second row, but it definitely is in third. Other than that, Emperor is very enjoyable, and if you want a great ride that you can get back on quickly, this is it.

Je me suis retenu de ne pas mettre 5/5 pour son cadre extraordinaire (vues sur San Diego, les lacs, les baies, le Pacifique - orientation du coaster très bien pensée). Très sympa avec des petites pointes d’intensité, mais cela manque d’airtime comparé à Valkyria. J’ai beaucoup aimé le hammerhead turn. Par contre où est la thema ?? Où est la vraie gare avec un toit ?? Comparé à ce que fait SW dans le reste du parc c’est presque honteux... PS : la hauteur frauduleuse annoncée est très certainement par rapport au Pacifique...

After this ride was delayed two years, it opened in disappointing fashion. The ride is overly short in both height and length, and just plain pointless. The one redeeming factor is the first drop. After that it whizzes through four pointless inversions and you're done. That's it. I will admit that I'm not a fan of dive coasters, but can anyone out there honestly say that this is not the worst amongst Griffon, Valravn, Sheikra, Dr. Diabolical, and Oblivion?

A great first drop. You can even make out Giant Dipper at Belmont Park from the top of the drop. Probably the best coaster in the park at the moment.
