What a nice surprise! I love the way the ride kicks into high gear during the second half. The low, high speed maneuvers leading to the finale are both thrilling and intense. Compared to some of the other GCIs I have ridden (Kentucky Rumbler, Thunderhead, and Lighting Racer), Texas Stingray has the strongest finale. The tunnel was a nice touch too. Very solid ride!

This ranks up there with Mystic Timbers and Thunderhead as a super fast, smooth, and intense coaster with lots of airtime and laterals. It’s world class. I love the straight first drop into that huge first hill and then it goes all curvy and whips you side to side almost like I305. The way it transitions smoothly from one element to another and banks so well is possibly the best I’ve ever experienced in a wood coaster.

I don't think it was the most intense GCI I have done and it didn't have a super standout moment, but it is a complete ride that is smooth and re-rideable.

While it took a bit to warm up, I ultimately walked away thinking Texas Stingray was a top tier GCI. The first part of the ride is pretty lackluster as I didn't find the drop and first few turns to do much but everything that follows is amazing. The sense of speed is top notch and kept throughout the ride. There is also an abundance of solid airtime and laterals throughout the ride, with awesome elements that can't really be found on other GCI's such as a large twisted hill and wave turn. Overall Texas Stingray is a very fun and out of control ride that makes for a great signature coaster at Sea World San Antonio.

A "good" ripping and rocking woody from GCI. I only went on it once and while it seemingly had all the elements of other CGI's I've enjoyed, it was "fine" and nothing more for me. There was no one else on the ride as the park was quite empty and this tempered the energy and enthusiasm surrounding our ride. I suspect my anticipation for Iron Rattler (which we rode later in the day) muted my interest as well. There's nothing wrong with it, but my experience was a step below my favorite GCI, Thunderhead. I do believe I owe it another go at some point...could have just been an off-day.

I always look forward to riding GCIs, but this one disappointed me a bit. While I enjoyed the pacing and intensity, the layout didn't give me the adrenaline pump I get from my favorite GCIs (Mystic T, Renegade, Prowler). I enjoyed it enough to ride it multiple times, but I was expecting a little more.

This ride is one of the greatest gci coasters I've ridden, it is fast, intense, and relentless. This ride emulates all the good about gci and none of the bad. When I first looked at it I was impressed with how good it looked, but I was careful not to judge it by looks. After waiting zero minutes in the station we started up the lift, my first ride was in the back. The first drop is a straight drop and provides a great sustained flojecter moment. After that its total mayhem, from insane laterals to twisted airtime hills this ride truly is amazing. It keeps its pace from start to finish and even offers some positive forces. Overall this is an elite gci coasters with some of the best moments you can find on wooden coasters. This ride is a true masterpiece and needs to get more attention. 10 out of 10 no doubt

GCIs haven't done much for me in the past, but Texas Stingray is a clear exception. The standout feature on this ride was the pacing, which was absolutely phenomenal. I got 2 back-row rides, and there was flowjector on almost every hill. There aren't any dead spots and it flies through its layout! I am ranking this well above Apocalypse and Gold Striker, the other two GCIs I've ridden at this point. This is a solid #1 at the park.
