This ride is my guilty pleasure. It’s definitely not perfect, and I totally understand if someone hates, but I don’t. The theming is amazing, and the last drop and inversions are amazing. Yes the first outdoor section sucks, but it adds to the weirdness of the ride. It can be a headbanger, but I don’t really care.

Mystery Mine is my first Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter and one of my favorite elements includes first drops especially beyond vertical drops. And this ride didn’t disappoint, I’m now on a mission to seek out more Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter’s know matter what rating they might have because I know I’ll enjoy the ride. The theming was great the the heartline roll was insane and the dive loop was also interesting. I think this ride is severally underrated.

I am a fan of the Gerstlauer Eurofighters and this ride is a much better version of the standard mine trains. It has the problem of the Eurofighters over the shoulder restraints that often leads to Headbanging. Still a fun ride with a surprising layout and good theming.

Etonnamment très confortable pour un Euro-Fighter Gerstlauer, la thèma est magnifique et très immersive, j'adore la soundtrack qui d'ailleurs est restée dans ma tête toute la journée ! Niveau Layout c'est efficace avec une First Drop sympa avec un petit pic d'intensité dans le creux, très planant niveau Hearthline Roll, petite déception pour le Dive Loop trimé directement en sortie.

This one isn't very intense and seems to focus more on theming. It still has fun elements like straight drops and inversions that let you hang upside down. The duration of this ride is also super long compared to a lot of coasters so you get a good amount of ride time. It seems like Blazing Fury is a bit redundant when comparing theming and the effect it's trying to give. Blazing Fury came first so I'm a bit confused why they made Mystery Mine so similar theming-wise but both are fun adventures. 3.5/5 stars

Ahh, where to begin. It’s so hard to review this ride. Parts of it are fun and other parts are pointless. Ignoring the head banging, if Dollywood put a little more time incorporating Mystery Mine’s full layout with theming, this would be a much better ride. It just roams around for parts of the ride until putting you back into the themed areas. With that being said, its a long ride and the theme parts are pretty good.

This is a surprisingly good ride. I managed to get a ride free of the headbanging but I know that it is there as on all Gerstlauer rollercoasters with the bulky over-the-shoulder harness. They really should update the trains to Infinity coasters with lap bars if possible (those are much better). The ride's theming is top notch and the entire ride is very interestingly made. The Mystery Mine is probably an ideal ride for more inexperienced riders to get hooked on rollercoasters.

The last 15 seconds of this ride are fantastic: an awesome fire effect followed by a great drop and a very unique set of inversions. Everything else that comes before it is awful. The profiling is janky, the transitions are uncomfortable, and all the while it manages to have dead spots that somehow hurt your head. I had much more fun looking at this ride from the outside than riding it. 4/10 - the vulture animatronic is the highlight

This ride is an enigma. It has all the worst qualities of a wild mouse for the first half but is saved by the cool theming and 2nd half of the ride where it kinda turns into a legit roller coaster...🤣 there's 90 degree lifts and drops, fire and 2 killer inversions at the end of the ride. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but with Lightning Rod being up to its usualy shenanigans, it was easily the best ride experience of our visit.

This ride is a mixed bag. The whole presentation of the ride is fantastic with the massive looking structure and Wild Eagle looming in the background. The restraints on this ride definitely aren't the best, as they they're pretty restrictive and can lead to some headbanging. I didn't think they were too bad, but this ride could really benefit from some lap bars. The ride starts off with a really cool dark ride section with some great theming. The first outdoor section is mostly just slow dips and turns that just sort of jostle you around. The retracked section with the steep drop and the low to the ground turn are pretty intense without being uncomfortable, but that's about all this section really has to offer. After that, you hit a second vertical lift hill. At the top there's a cool fire effect before you hit the best part of the ride. You have an awesome beyond vertical drop that gives ejector airtime. You then traverse a whippy heartline roll which immediately transitions into hangtime filled dive loop. This is an awesome way to end the ride and it's the best part of Mystery Mine. Overall this a very solid roller coaster that combines great theming with some thrilling moments. The main things that drag this thing down are the restraints and the dead spots in the middle. Other than that, this is a great ride.

This ride pleasantly surprised me. My first trip to Dollywood, wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. The 90° incline hills and subsequent drops made this ride for me. The layout as it goes around the Timber section of the park was really cool, especially at night. The biggest problem I have with this ride is the sudden stops which are almost always rough.

Got several rides in during Dollywood's Halloween event, a couple of which were at night. Pacing is different but good (although this will very much depend on one's own taste), and the vertical lift coming at the end was unexpected but a good finale. First half is a bit underwhelming, but when I think about it more as a dark ride and less as a traditional coaster it makes a lot more sense. Special effects and theming are excellent as well. If the lines are reasonable (which they often aren't due to this being a Eurofighter), this is definitely worth a couple rides.

It has 2 good drops and the last inversion gives good hangtime, but a lot of the ride is pointless and just hurts so to the head banging and bad track profiling. However the theming is cool but I can’t really save the ride. I still like the ride but it’s nothing special and the pain makes me move it down a few spots.

Plus those gerstlauer OTSRs are awful. I rode this before the reprofiled turn and that original turn was the worst part of the ride for sure. Very uncomfortable and unnatural. Overall a pretty decent ride
