Comfort Smoothness Intensity
I first rode this when I was 10, and it was scary! It was my first B&M Invert, and it was almost completely terrifying!

Fun Dead spots
I didn't know what to think of this ride. It's so average! It's big, fast, but lacks intensity and thrills. There are some painful snaps in the first half and the second half is very bland. Maybe I got a bad ride on it. But as of now, I think it is just ok.

Inversions Intensity Layout Headbanging
What an underrated invert! This is probably one of the most intense rides I've ever ridden. The first two inversions are massive but forceful, the cobra roll (if you lean your head to the right on the restraint) is powerful. The worst part of the ride is sadly getting into the mid-course brake run which has a crazy transition which even leaning your head... you will still get headbanging. The brakes actually slow a lot of the second half down. It's a shame because if it was going at that same great pace... this would be a perfect coaster! Even then, the second half is still enjoyable. Probably my favorite inverted coaster (until I ride Montu or Banshee).

First Drop Location Intensity
So far, my favorite invert by quite alot. Its massive, well themed, intense, and really fun. I prefer front row because it feels faster and smoother whereas back row is more intense and whippy. Great night rides on this thing because of the great location in the trees. One of my favorite first drops around. The cobra roll is always bonkerz-level intense, so be sure to brace yourself coming out of the tunnel on the way up. Headbanging has never been an issue for me on it either. Updated: after riding 6 inverts, none have come close to Alpie. Its size and location are its strengths and I've yet to ride an invert that gives a better night front row ride. Yes, it meanders some towards the end but they all seem to do that.

Theming Inversions Location Dead spots
Alpengeist starts out very strong. A huge first drop more akin to a giant helix, forceful immelmann and vertical loops, and the most aggressive cobra roll I've ever experienced. But once you hit the midcourse, the pacing takes a nosedive. The zero-g roll and flat spin, which are both meant to be whippy, have no whip, and the final helix isn't very forceful. I think this could be an excellently paced invert if they let off on the trims a little and gave the last half some real oomph. But for now, it's on the lower end of my personal invert spectrum.

Theming Inversions Intensity Rattle
Alpengeist is an extraordinary Invert. It's extremely inversion focused, and each one delivers well. Alpengeist is also decently themed throughout the ride, though not to the extent of say, Verbolten. Alpengeist does have a minor rattle, which is especially noticeable in the back row, but nothing too terrible. On occasion, the MCBR on Alpengeist slams the ride to a halt, ruining the pacing for the second half. Alpengeist has its flaws, but mostly it's an outstanding, intense inverted wonder.

Location Intensity Layout
Such a good Invert. I love the section with its entrance and theming in the line. Very intense Invert that has a few uncomfortable transitions but other than thought just great. Beautiful setting with the river and trees and one for the best layout there is.

Pace Intensity Layout
Alpengeist was everything I wanted from an invert. It was intense without being nauseating, and the layout was a fun deviation from the generic B&M invert layout - not just the Batman clones, but Raptor as well. It felt fast, and the terrain interaction was incredible.

7.8 out of 10. many inversions and a enjoyable ride. just behind Montu and Kraken.

Theming Inversions Intensity
Alpengeist was my unexpected favorite out of the great collection of coasters Busch Gardens Williamsburg currently has on offer. I call it “Montu on terrain, but ALMOST as good” — an accurate depiction of this top 20 coaster for me. Nothing can beat the sheer intensity of Montu’s batwing and second half, but Alpie comes pretty darn close during its very snappy and G-heavy cobra roll! The headbanging can easily be avoided if you know where to brace for it (bottom of first drop, drop out of midcourse, cobra roll, generally the transitions out of all 6 inversions), and the chalets make for some great legchoppers as your train roars above or even through them. I adore the thematic touches to the ride; most notably including the detailed station, ski trough segment after the final inversion, ski boards latched onto Alpengeist’s trains, and obviously the chalets.
