Airtimes Pace Intensity Capacity
This is without a doubt one of the best woodies on the planet. The airtime and laterals are so unhinged it's ridiculous. Very strong floater in the first half and sustained ejector in the second. The drop off the midcourse is also a top-tier airtime moment. The laterals also are absolutely ridiculous, especially on the double helix. Great ride.

Fun
Very solid wood coaster with many exciting drops and plenty of lateral g-forces on the many twists and turns.

Airtimes Pace Duration Rattle Capacity Discomfort
Great ride with a little jackhammering at the valleys, terrible capacity and brutal unbanked turns, my number 7 right now, behind tatsu and millie to break top 5. unfortunately didnt get a night ride which probably would have improved my ranking

Airtimes First Drop Intensity Capacity
This is my favorite wooden coaster right now. I rode this coaster once at night and at day. At day this ride is amazing and intense, with the second half of the coaster being one of my favorite experiences on a coaster. At night though, it's a different story. Getting a night ride on ghost rider is hard because the line is normally way longer at night during the day. But if you do ride it at night, it is extraordinary. you can't see what way you are going or whether you're going to go up or down. Basically, you can't see anything, which makes it 10x better.

First Drop Masterpiece Intensity
One of the best wooden coasters in the world in my opinion. First drop is amazing (always put your arms up) And the turns are just awesome. Almost a 5/5!! (Back row always)

Airtimes Fun Duration Capacity
One of my all-time favorite coasters. A back row , night-time ride might be one of the best I have ever experienced. It isn't super intense - it is just FUN. The drop off the MCBR is fantastic as is the whole second half of the ride. The first half is good, but just doesn't compare to the back half. The only downside is the capacity on this - man they really need to find a way to speed up dispatches. They usually run 2 trains, but still only dispatch about once every 3 minutes. I guess people just don't have my urgency to get on/off the ride to keep the line moving. Oh well. Even if this is the only ride you get on at Knott's, that wait is worth it.

Airtimes Hangtime
The queue is horrendous got to go to this first thing in the morning or wait in a 3 hour queue

Pace Masterpiece Duration Dead spots
This ride is very underrated. A back row night ride on Ghostrider is incredible. The final helix is my favorite part as it pins you to the side of the train for what seems like forever. The entire second half feels out of control and it is enhanced by the fact that you are in the structure of the ride. There are some dead spots but I can look past that because they usually give laterals and/or a great view. My #3 coaster overall and the 2nd best coaster in California.

Lap Bar Fun Headbanging Intensity Reliability
This coaster is definitely not for light people, your head bangs everywhere and you don’t get to raise your hands in the air or whatever. Couple friends of mine are light (I am as well) Today all of us started complaining about headaches and neck aches. Fun ride but it has terrible after effects

Airtimes First Drop Ejectors
With Xcelerator still down, this was the best roller coaster in the park I had ridden that day. I was fortunate enough to get a ride in the very back seat for my first ride and it was incredible. The first drop is very intense back there. I'm used to wooden roller coasters having great first drops and then tame elements after that but this had even better drops with airtime and ejector feeling as the ride went along. I also enjoy wooden roller coasters with a little bit of roughness to keep their character and I felt like this one kept the perfect blend of roughness without you feeling like you got beat up after you get off the ride. My second ride was in the middle section and the intensity of the elements went down a bit but it was still a fantastic ride the second time through. 4.5/5 stars

Airtimes Fun Duration
Knotts Berry Farm is a great theme park, with great coasters, but this is definitely the best coaster! It’s super fun with GREAT AIRTIME! It’s also REEEEAAAALLLLY LONG!

Airtimes Masterpiece Layout
Ghostrider is currently my #1 wooden coaster and my #3 overall. First visited the park in 2019 when I was 12, and not too long ago I went in August 2022 and left the park with 13 rides on Ghostrider. This ride is an incredible work of art. It’s got wild forces every direction whipping through a top tier layout. I don’t think I have any complaints with it other than its operations/dispatches. But other than that, nothing wrong with it. I do hear this ride does have a rattle. Is this ride rough? Absolutely not, this ride is pure smooth. I found it not even slightly rough. You can marathon this ride without any nausea. Every row on this ride is spectacular, even the middle row. The back is easily the best though. The drop off the mid course is my favorite moment on the ride as you get WHIPPED down that drop. And the night rides? Oh boy. If you aren’t familiar with the rides layout, night rides will get you good. Ghostrider is AMAZING. Go ride it. Final score: 95% Airtime ✅ Good layout ✅ Intensity ✅ Laterals ✅ Re-rideable ✅ Best ride at the park ✅ Worth it? ✅

Pace Masterpiece Smoothness Capacity
I didn't expect much but it exceeded it. I only rode it in the very back. The pacing is awesome, especially at night. It's so out of control that I thought the train would fall off. It really warms up significantly than the early morning. The airtime is surprisingly good, the laterals are crazy, and it's not unbearably rough at all! That's what I call an elite ride. I love it so much.
-
Airtimes Masterpiece Duration Capacity
This ride is incredible!!! This is the coaster I have ridden the most, so I've had tons of experience with it. Everything from the airtime and laterals, to the layout and pacing, is perfect! If you get a night ride on this thing, you're in for a treat as feeling like you're flying through the dense structure. This is my personal number 1 coaster before rides like X2, and Twisted Colossus. The only thing that majorly sucks about it is the TERRIBLE capacity, as the line moves at a snail's pace and the ops suck.
-
Masterpiece Intensity Duration Capacity
Amazing Ride, the second best rollercoaster I've ever ridden. It's so intense and fun, my only complaint would be the terrible capacity and operations, this thing gets 2 hour lines on the least crowded days. Plus the loading gates don't line up with the rows and it causes a lot of confusion.
-
Smoothness Duration Disappointing!
I've had MILES of experience with this ride, so I know what I'm talking about with this ride. This ride just always disappoints me. Everyone says how "elite" this ride is but quite frankly, every single ride I have had on this thing has been relatively forceless and boring. I can't really think of any part of the ride that stands out because there is seriously just no great part of this ride. Now the ride is very long and very smooth but I could care less considering how boring this ride is. This also racks up a ridiculous wait time. Even in the mornings I don't think I've ever had a wait under 20 minutes. I think my main gripe with this ride is that it is not very consistent at all, in the mornings, the ride runs too slow to deliver anything at all, but even my most recent ride in the front row at night was forceless. I know most people come to Knott's for this ride and I'm not saying "avoid it", but if you think you can skip it, you can skip it, you're not really missing out on much.

Pace Fun Smoothness Disappointing! Airtimes Intensity
okay im gonna get canceled for what im bout to say but this ride is completely overrated. i wont get to much with my history with ghostrider but i have ALWAYS though since my first ride in 2019 its overrated. im not gonna go into to much detail with this but i dont feel any-forces OF any type (besides floater) AT ALL anywhere, not on the pointless helix, not on the big turn arounds, NOWHERE its not even there. this ride also has a noticeable rattle when ridding it, keep in mind this is AFTER the 2016 retrack. its rattle honestly does not really effect the ride experience, but its loud enough to become a side focas ON the ride but not enough to give you a head ache. thank goodness you dont here the rattle off ride (unless your RIGHT next to it). do i hate it though, absolutely NOT, in fact i like ghostrider a lot its just not in my top 3 (1.hangtime 2. silver bullet {also overrated} 3.monteZOOMas revenge), ghostie is is within my top 5 though.i also have never really encountered capacity issues on it aswell. but i HAVE seen its line at it gets LONG, like L O N G. especially at scary farm. i have only gotten rides with fast pass though so thats why i have never really had to deal with lines. to sum it all up, this ride overall is a 118ft disappointment, its forceless and has a rattle, remember, this is MY opinion and yours...is likely very different from mine, so id like to ask you guys to respect mine and other peoples opinion's. done/

Airtimes First Drop Intensity Capacity
Very intense roller coaster with good airtime but capacity sucks on this ride which makes lines longer.
-
First Drop Intensity Duration Capacity
The difference between a night ride and a day ride on this thing is like, well, night and day. At night, the train ripped through the layout. The intensity left me breathless with awesome laterals, airtime, drops and speed. A nice long ride, too. The next morning, it was a different coaster, slower and not nearly as fun. Also, they were running only one train in the morning, which made their slow load times even more tedious. I'm ranking this based on my night rides, which were outstanding.
-
Airtimes Intensity Duration Capacity
Can’t stress enough how slow the ride ops here are. They could be a lot faster, and the fact that they aren’t is disappointing. It’s a fun woodie that goes across much of the park, which is fun. The coaster is long, and the constant drops really keep you engaged the whole time. It’s rough, but it’s not unbearable.
-
Airtimes Fun Duration
Let’s get the negatives out of the way first. The ops are slow, and should be faster. Also I believe ghostrider is slightly overrated. Now for the pros. GhostRider has plenty of airtime and constant drops. It offers nice laterals as well as a long ride experience. The duration of the ride is very noticeable and very pleasing. Very fun coaster and definitely a must when you go to Knotts. Solid pacing as well. Not a top 25 coaster in the U.S, but definitely a must ride while in Southern California. One of the best woodies out there.

Airtimes Fun Duration Rattle Capacity
I've been riding this since I was 7 years old and it still is in my top 3 till this day. Great airtime and pacing. It is still a bit rough; however, the renovation GCI did really fixed a lot of the rough spots.
-
Airtimes Fun Layout
Great wooden coaster that does check plenty of boxes, however, a bit overrated.
-
First Drop Lap Bar Duration Dead spots
If you get to the park 10 or more minutes before open, you can typically get a quick ride on this piece of history. This coaster is so cool, having a portion that allows a cars to pass underneath, as well as an awesome first drop in the back row. The only beef I have with this ride is the turnaround. For some this portion of the ride might be good for them to catch their breath, but I found it to pull me out of the out of control feeling that this coaster does so well.

Pace Layout Duration
This was by far the longest line we waited in all day. It was about as long as I will tolerate to wait in. We had ridden everything else in the park except this--some many times. Was the hour-long wait worth it? In a word, absolutely. This is GCI at its best--just the way it should be. Fast, long, good air, and relentless. I loved the fact that it winds and twists through the wooden forest structure repeatedly. Great woody.

Fun Smoothness Duration
Smooth, lengthy, and enjoyable coaster. I fell in love with this one after riding it for the first time a few weeks ago. Can't recommend enough!

Airtimes Fun Duration
Great roller coaster!! The pre-lift is one of the better ones, with underrated laterals. Following the floater-filled covered drop, you get whipped with extreme laterals that are extraordinarily strong while getting pushed with positives. Following this drop is a floater hill with strong floater! Then, the first turn-around. I don't mind the slow turnaround, it had very strong laterals. Then, you dive down getting more airtime before diving to the right and climbing up the second turnaround and "mid-course" brakes. Then, the awesome part. A drop that kicks the well-paced second half off! I rode it in the back in the morning, got strong ejector. In the back at 5:15 PM, and got INSANE ejector for at least 2-3 seconds. Crazy! The second half is a journey through GhostRider's support structure with floater hills and awesome laterals. Such a fun ride. Highly recommended, it's totally my favorite overall!

Airtimes Smoothness Duration
Ghost Rider is a great wooden coaster! I rode it before it was retracked by GCI and it used to be so rough that it ruined the ride. Now it is very smooth, has a great layout, has a good length, and great airtime. The best seat is definitely back row.
-
Airtimes Comfort Duration
Fantastic coaster all around. This ride is astonishing to me because of how it can be so long and have so many large elements and hills but it never loses speed and every element is done to perfection. The first drop whips you and then it’s amazing floater on the large hills and ejector on the small with insane moments of laterals thrown in. The millennium flyers are always great and provide plenty of airtime room. Amazing ride one of the best wooden coasters out there.
-
Incredible ride. The first half has that great first drop and airtime hill along with some nice laterals, while the second half is out of this world. It has that spectacular drop out of the mid course followed by quick transitions/airtime moments and finishes with a great helix full of laterals. All while staying perfectly smooth.

Fun Masterpiece Duration Capacity
You will probably wait 2 or more hours in line to ride this coaster thanks to Knott's absolutely awful operations, but it's worth it: this ride features an absolutely amazing layout, combining a first half full of large drops, then a second half full of airtime mixed in with awesome laterals. Don't forget the length... this ride never ends! Nowadays, it's pretty hard to get great rides on Ghostrider because the Millennium Flyers, which can't handle negative G's, make the airtime really inconsistent... however, I have gotten absolutely magical night rides in which the train flies through the midcourse drop off giving insane ejector, delivers strong floater during the 2nd half, has laterals during the 2nd half, first turn, and helix that leave you pinned to the side... one of the best experiences you can possibly get. I don't doubt that Ghostrider is one of the worlds best woodies.

Comfort Pace Duration
Very fun GCI that has tons of headchoppers and a great first drop

Airtimes Pace Duration Capacity Lap Bar
My favorite coaster in California. This ride flies through the supports and feels twice as fast as it actually is. The ride feels absolutely wild and out of control. The laterals and airtime are both incredible. My only complaints are that the ride operations tend to be on the slow side, and the lap bar can staple too easily like most GCI lap bars, though it is still quite comfortable. Overall, a phenomenal ride

Airtimes Pace Duration
I rode this ride pre GCI treatment, but I still adored it. This was possibly the first good wooden coaster I ever rode, and it blew me away. Floater airtime, great laterals, huge size and speed, fast pacing, an unpredictable layout, and a great final helix. GhostRider is one of my keystone coasters and I'm glad for that.
-
Airtimes Lap Bar Fun
It's been a while since I have ridden this, which was before the re-tracking. However, even back the i thought it was a blast and considered it #1 in the park. There are airtime moments, intense moments (helix), and it provides an excellent night ride. I even see myself rating this higher when I get back on it b/c the re-tracking.
-
Fun Intensity Duration Dead spots
GhostRider is quite impressive. It has plenty of great moments. The standout moment is the final helix, which draws insane laterals. The airtime on it is pretty good too. It's easily the smoothest wooden coaster I've ever ridden. There's a dead spot where the mid-course used to be, and it's mostly just uncomfortable right there, but other than that, the ride is outstanding. Mostly, it's just really fun. It feels like it goes on forever, doing a great job at being a great coaster.
-
Airtimes Intensity Duration
Great wooden coaster that gives fantastic airtime along its numerous drops and airtime hills. Something to note is that the 2nd half of the ride after the turn around is much different from the 1st. While the 1st half is more airtime focused, the 2nd half is more of the train traversing some very minimally banked turns while at speed for some witheringly intense lateral G forces.
-
Nice surprise! Fun
I tested it after the retracking done in 2016 which probably helps a lot.
