Capacity Fun Intensity Dead spots Layout

I went in expecting an uncomfortable and boring ride because of what I've heard from other enthusiasts, but I was completely blown away. This thing is a lot of fun! The operations were super quick, in no small part because of how many trains they have on the track. The restraints are fine. The vertical lift is just a gimmick to me but I didn't hate it. I didn't find any rattle I felt to be too intense or painful and I was able to overlook it for most of the ride. The ride is intense without being uncomfortable and it pulls some good forces. The brake runs kill the pacing a bit but I think the train picks up its speed again well after them. I found the layout boring other than the non-inverting loop. Overall this is a fun coaster to ride with friends and not think too much about.

Nice surprise! Fun Harness

This was super fun from start to finish. I really like the interactivity of the music choices to enjoy along with the ride. The only negative, if any, is that vertical climb to the top hill. It’s one of my least favorite elements on coasters of this kind.

Airtimes Theming Intensity Discomfort Dead spots Lap Bar

This may have the worst, most uncomfortable and painful lap bar in the entire world. It’s that bad. The actual ride itself is actually decent despite that vertical lift hills. I don’t understand why some thoosies really love vertical lifts. I think they are absolutely horribly uncomfortable and add nothing to the ride. Lap bar was janky, and sits on your stomach not your lap so it’s actually painful to ride this. Prob won’t ever ride it again

First Drop Inversions Rattle Discomfort

Fun layout, but four brake runs really disrupt the flow. The main issue, though, is a persistent rattle. One ride was enough for me. The best part was getting to choose your music, so I went with KC & the Sunshine Band. "That's The Way (uh huh, uh huh) I Like It (uh huh, uh huh)."

First Drop Rattle Discomfort

I had a really hard time enjoying this ride. I really wanted to, but it was way too bumpy. I've never had a roller coaster hurt my neck so bad from rocking so much.

Theming Duration Rattle Headbanging Reliability

The years have not been easy on this ride. It's very rough, like magnum rough, and it is hard to enjoy because of it. The onboard audio is cool and the 2000s vibe the queue gives is also cool, but the ride itself will rattle your brains.

Going into this ride didn't expect much but it was surprisingly good and forceful but has a mid course break run every 500 feet which is extremally annoying and boring.

Intensity Layout

The layout is a little repetitive, but honestly I feel RRR is underrated. There's a decent amount of airtime and laterals, and the coaster doesn't really let up.

Despite a slight rattle, dead spots due to the brake runs, and a bulky lap bar, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit includes intense airtime moments, a fun non-inverting loop, and some unique elements.

Solid ride to me. The drop is good and the non inverting loop is an amazing moment, definitely the best on the ride by far. There is also a lot of fun elements during the ride including this one twisted bunny hop that I really like. However the pacing is pretty terrible, there is a lot of dead spots and it has a rattle. Overall its a very fun ride but nothing special.

This ride has some awesome airtime, the music choosing is awesome to. Towards the end there are a few spots that leave you asking for more though. Many complain about the MCBR's but they gave some strong ejector going into/out of them so they didn't bother me atall, they actually improved the ride. These restraints also are not very good. They are lapbars that come from the side but they rest much more on your stomache which is probably pretty uncomfortable for larger guests. Im very skinny and they did bother me since I got stapled. A pro with these restraints though is that they let you experience the airtime even while stapled. I recommend Rollin by Limp Bizkit for your song, it fit's very well. Overall solid coaster but it could have been better with some more direct airtime, or maybe even an inversion.

This ride is incredible and is very underrated. Going into all of the MCBRs give great ejector and the ride surprisingly packs in two tight forceful helixes. Plus the music factor is very well done

This is an underrated gem that shouldn’t be missed out on. There is a lot of airtime before and after the mid courses and the ride is surprisingly intense. If only there wasn’t a rattle and didn’t slow down every time.

Fun Layout

The Pacing can be a bit wonky if the break sections are really slow, but this ride is underrated by many. The non-inverting loop in the front row has good lateral ejector and obviously the music is dope if you don't pick awful country music

Airtimes First Drop Fun Rattle Harness Dead spots

The vertical lift is a great way to start this ride, especially with just a lap bar (albeit a terrible one). The first drop provides great ejector airtime in all rows, especially the back. The non inverting loop throws you from side to side. Here come the mid-courses! Oh boy, do these kill the ride. Every time there should be a great element like an airtime hill or something, you go into an MCBR that is severely trimmed. In the front, you do get some airtime going up into one, and in the back you get airtime going out of it. They do kill the ride’s pace. The helix in the middle of the ride and the inclined loop at the end are very intense elements and a nice surprise. The restraints are bad and the ride can be rough at times. Overall, this coaster is good, just with dead spots.

Fun Rattle Layout

A ride with all the potential in the world but just isn't great. The first drop is solid but nothing crazy. The non-inverted loop is the highlight of the ride for sure. The midcourses throughout kill your momentum. I understand that they are their for capacity but it really kills parts of the ride. The layout also doesn't do much in the second half. I wish it did a bit more and didn't rattle as much. It's ok but could be better.

This ride is super fun in the back, with lots of air and an intense helix near the end, with some fun swooping turns and a lateral hargtime monent. However, the ride dies a little near the end, although the helix and the very end of the ride pick it back up.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a really fun ride. The ride has some good airtime on the drop and coming in and out of the midcourses. The pacing is not good due to the quantity of midcourses so there are a few dead spots. Overall the ride is pretty good, and gets too much hate.

Airtimes Intensity Lap Bar

The only thing I can remember about this ride (I rode this a couple years ago) is that the lap bar makes Skyrush's lap bar seem comfortable, this restraint is so awkward (especially for larger guests) and I got absolutely stapled in, and that helix after the first mid-course is extremely intense! It's okay for what it is but I'm down for a replacement that has better restraints. I sadly didn't get music on this ride either...

Smoothness Duration Harness Layout

The ride looks at first very cool with the vertical lift and the non inverting loop. The best parts of the ride are: the first drop, the light effects of the train at night, its long, its smooth, the non inverted loop and the music selection feature (loved that). After the non inverted loop, there is a cool overbanked turn and after this part the ride is pretty bland, too many break runs, could have had a heartline roll to vary a bit. Also the restraint made it hard to breathe at first. Thrill: 3/5

Fun Rattle Inversions Layout

SO MANY MID COURSE BREAK RUNS!!! It is fun on the vertical chain lift. Then a NON INVERTED LOOP!!! What the heck... They spent more money on making it have ZERO inversions when they could have easily had at least ONE. It is a fun ride but I think they should replace it with a better coaster.

Lap Bar Fun Smoothness Reliability

This is one of the most fun rides I have ever been on. The music makes the ride very rerideable, the elements all feel unique to this ride, and the ride runs very smooth most days. However the ride is down almost every time i go to Universal for at least some portion of the day. I have been walked off of this ride once as well as had the ride close when i was in the queue or station nearly a dozen times.

Airtimes Nice surprise! Duration Dead spots Reliability

Going in I was told that Rip Ride Rockit was an abysmal, rough and jerky ride. But I was very pleasantly surprised, hence my 4-star rating. This coaster has some good pops of sustained floater air in the beginning, and decent G’s towards the end — with the middle of the ride making up a notable “dead spot.” My favorite element probably has to be the inclined loop (a “Plot Twist” per Universal’s marketing scheme), which pulls some great laterals. The first drop is also pretty fun because of the unrestrictive lap bars. However, some of the transitions are a bit awkward, most notably the rises into the first and second mid-courses which give this kind of odd sensation of experiencing airtime while being shuffled to the side of your seat. Two crazy experiences I had with this coaster is when going in for a second ride, our train stopped just before the lift hill. A minute later we were evacuated off the ride and given a free Express Pass, which I later used for my third ride. And on the fourth ride, I was rocking out to the Jackson 5 when our train stopped on the brake run just before the last. The speakers still blared for another minute, but finally our train crawled forward and completed the rest of the circuit. It was a great end to a great day.

Vertical lift, drop and non inverting loop are great fun with lapbar only trains. Rest of the layout is less exciting, the music is fun but adds little to the ride. Overall a good coaster

Fun Rattle Headbanging

I think this is a fun ride, interesting concept that you can pick your own music to listen to whilst riding, makes it a bit more fun to listen to a song you like as you ride! :) The vertical lift hill is pretty intense (just personally cuss i don't like vertical lifthills) but the ride is quite rough, and i seem to have to position myself in the seat with my feet firmly pushed against the car in front to not be thrown around too much.. But its fun ! Queue seems to take a long time though even with the moving platform ...

First Drop Fun Harness Dead spots

The individual elements are great. The first drop, non-inverting loop, treble clef, twisted airtime hill, and overbank at the beginning of the ride are all great. The pace, however, is abysmal. Midcourse breaks put this otherwise cool and unique coaster's experience to a halt. After the overbank, the ride dies, and nothing else interesting happens. The music selection is fun, but outdated. The lap restraints are awkward and uncomfortable. Fun ride, but Maurer was probably the worst choice for USO's hyper style coaster.
